  1. Attaining Full Lotus

For me it just happened naturally after years of standing, sitting and lying practice(standing with warmups after the lam kam chuen method).I also think stretching CAN be harmful. And i think flexibility has a lot do with the amount of letting go you have in your practice.Take time in the beginning i would never have thought of sitting in full lotus
  2. Fast way to heal flue?

For the throat you can try to suck honey a few times the day.Honey only helps if you dont heat it.
  3. Juicing and empty feeling

For a good gut flora i recommend smoothies with wildherbs (do not wash them) and make the smoothies really thin, also add some flaxseeds for the slime, its like a plaster for your stomach and gut.i also recommend papaya or even fermented papaya (smells like childrens poo) haha.Furthermore nutmilks which also ferment sour. Best wishes!
  4. Juicing and empty feeling

I would try it with fruits, greens and maybe put some oil into it.I was on a rawfood diet and after a while i got this strange feeling from root vegetables. So i lived of fruits, nuts, seeds and greens.
  5. Fasting

I think i found a way to make the first days of the fasting much more easy. The 2 days before the fast i ate just protein and fat(mostly nuts) and so i was already in ketosis on the second day of the fast...First day was a little hard, on the second day(today) i am having lots of energy and the high you get from fasting.
  6. Kriyas in meditation

Joeblast: I absolutely have the same opinion but i dont know what you mean with good feelings going through such things can be very hard and painful. But not focusing on it is a very important point in my opinion.
  7. Kriyas in meditation

On its own... i did zuowang style seated meditation and zhang zhuang (books from lam kam chuen).
  8. Kriyas in meditation

Yes but i can speak only about personal observations.I am into spontaneous movements for maybe 5 years now.So its interesting how he speaks about others and i liked very much how he speaks about it..going crazy with it...
  9. Kriyas in meditation

    Very good clip thanks!
  10. Kriyas in meditation

Gendao: Yes for me its also like that but more in cycles. And i think there is a difference of those that are like shaking bodyparts and the ones where you go into different body and hand positions. Its like a cycle of motions and stillness..i can definetly stay that stillness gets deeper after those movements.
  11. Kriyas in meditation

Kubba: refinement and directing of energies so they can get integrated in the neutral state.also to focus energy in different parts to free blockades (Just my observation) its far more complex but i am a fan of simplicity.
  12. Kriyas in meditation

I think the key is to not get atached to them.In my personal practice i made the observation that they have a purpose, but if you get atached you will maybe hold them for too long. The focus should be on letting go but i think if they arise and you forcefully do thomething against it you will do harm to yourself.
  13. Kriyas in meditation

I think both are right.Dont focus on them but if they are there its also fine
  14. Yes i lost my social anxiety through daily zhang zhuang in the forest also the anxiety of height and water...
  15. Dao bums diagnose

Hallo yinya! I would say do things that are grounding. (Barefoot walks in nature, long cold showers, look into diet for detoxing (read about raw food and fasting maybe paleo diet if it is more yozr thing.Meditation and qigong wise i would say baduanjin and maybe zhang zhuang.Best wishes (i have a similar way behind me so i know it can be hard but it is possible!)
  16. food a limitation on spiritual progress

Daomon: Wow thanks! That is lots of information.I really appreciate that. And i feel what you said. The spontaneously done slapping appeared at a time where i became more yang.... Interesting
  17. food a limitation on spiritual progress

Daomon: Nice reply! Can you tell me what sha means? Paida is lately a part of my spontaneous practice and it feels amazingly beneficial. Karen: I also know the sweet taste. But i am also eating. At all: I think the eating part is more of a sidetrack where we shouldnt get stuck.I think everything comes by intuition and its not good to force anything.
  18. food a limitation on spiritual progress

A very interesting topic.I was forced through my practice (over years) to live grain free.At the time mostly raw food.It came completely out of "nothing" haha rice and pasta started to smell really bad so i had to go on a no grain diet. Also had phases where i just couldnt eat but at the fourth day it frightened me and i forced myself to eat.Always had an amazing clarity at that times. And amazing energy levels.I than started to only eat one meal per day (in the evening). After ca. one year on that grain free diet the perception and energy was so immense that it again frightened me and i went to a nearby city and ate bread...and bam it was like a drug...really like in the bigu text you mentioned. There is a book called man's higher consciousness by hilton hotema which goes deeply into that topic. He says that fruit and nuts dont contain as much earthly matter as vegetables and grains haha.I think bigu is a result and not a practice, i think if you force it, it can be very unhealthy.I would say just try different foods and look how they affect you.I would say as transition you can use pseudograins (buckwheat, quinoa, etc.) My favourite food is milk made from nuts and seeds.Especially hempseeds.I sometimes live only on that for a few days and its almost like water fasting.I am still wondering why its mentioned as the old way of daoist and diet and why it changed.Sometimes i wonder if it is possible to do it like that in the middle of society or more a thing for going out of society, because its so intense.Would also be happy if others could share experiences.
  19. I would also say stop it for a while and just do grounding things (go barefoot through nature, go swimming, take cold showers.Just do good things and find out about diet that is easy du digest and good for replenishing the jing.i am a big fan of nuts and seeds especially flax and hempseeds. And eat lots vegetables and fruit. And i would also say dont force anything.Stop until you feel ready again.May you find your way!
