  1. More Pie Guy's Tips On Saving Money

It's all good, no apology needed.
  2. More Pie Guy's Tips On Saving Money

That kind of workweek is illegal in my country and there are worker's rights against being fired/mistreatment so yeah I don't claim to have any idea how that kind of thing works. I have worked customer service for a while so that part is familiar. Just trying to understand why MPG's tips got this reaction. Lucky for me then I don't have dogs to walk or a need to preach. I don't go out of my way to find people to help. If there is something that is helpful to someone I'll share it. I think these tips are one way of helping people, don't you? Not really. I think you're confused that this has something to do with poverty or judging rich people. Nothing. There's nothing spiritual about being rich either. I have never said that. You feel strongly about this it's ok, atleast now I kind of get where you are coming from even if we disagree.

Struggle or not, hating your circumstances is pointless. How about just being content? I think it is also false logic to think that everyone wants in life is related to money. Some people are happy or unhappy regardless of being rich or poor. Yeah seems I won't understand it.. thanks for trying though.
  4. As someone who never cared much for possessions I don't claim to understand the "abundance" stuff. Should I(or MPG) start spending more in your opinion and why? What's the big deal in buying stuff except what you need?

I think it should be in general, there are plenty of "male only" topics there...
  7. Constipation

yes antibiotics will make people(and animals) eat more http://news.sciencemag.org/health/2012/08/do-antibiotics-make-us-fat just remember antibiotics is like a poison used with care, you are also killing beneficial bacteria. If you trust western medicine only use them when a MD you trust prescribes them. Also throw away the wheatabix! It's the most likely cause of constipation for him... from http://www.thefooddoctor.com/Constipation-Ahealth_fst_constipation/

Depressing... either a completely pointless WW3 or another Vietnam war.

Mine is the hooded crow. It was a choice between a cat and this wonderful bird. I always get inspired when I see them flying/walking about or standing quietly observing. Like from watching a great master, I'm learning just by watching them.
  10. Hello - Interesting Forum

    Welcome to TTB.
  11. My buddies artwork is pretty incredible

I liked it and I rarely like "art"...
  12. More Pie Guy's Tips On Saving Money

I've used one of these(older model, probably fiskars as well) when I was around 6-8 years old. I would mow a couple of houses lawns for an ice cream and I don't remember it being that tough to work with.

  14. So I was sick for two days and after that with a minor sickness(sneezing, cough, hard to concentrate) a week or two. Felt like a novel experience since I haven't really been sick for some years. During that time I stopped almost all of my physical and meditation practices, and started getting back to "mindless entertainment"(gaming really) that I thought I'd never get back into again. Afterwards it felt like I've been set back more than I expected. I've only been back to decent routine now for a few days. So my question is, how do you handle getting sick and what kind of cultivation is good while being sick? Any thoughts appreciated, I'd like to avoid getting into a slump like that.
  15. WIKILEAKS FLAT EARTH CONSPIRACY

I was hoping to take a parachute, maybe there's another flat eath somewhere below...
  16. Getting sick and cultivation

It is possible. Don't know if I expressed it correctly but I meant I had stopped doing it some weeks before I got sick and so it's harder to make the connection. I'm pretty sure if I continued I could have messed myself up.
  17. Getting sick and cultivation

Sorry for skipping the question before, I was a bit unsure how to answer. At the moment, no, but I was doing a version of MCO some weeks prior to being sick. Don't know if you could call it forceful, but it felt too powerful so I stopped.
  18. The meditation freak out

Interesting, how do you do it?
  19. WIKILEAKS FLAT EARTH CONSPIRACY

Like every physical theory, I'll accept it if I have sufficient proof. Flat earth seems unlikely to me(0%). It contradicts experience and both ancient and modern observations/theory. Besides, what useful things can you do with flat earth theory?
  20. This makes sense. Though I see this changing hir case into another media circus along with the celebrities and whatnot.
  21. Basically, if you have life you will have causality/karma dictate it. If you accept the above definition of karma(the quote from Zybendos), then minimizing it is reasonable. Not because someone tells you what's right but because you want the end goal of freedom.
  22. Depends on what your definition of karma is. The western popular version is quite different from Jainism for example where it's considered to be something like dirt that is on your soul. Also there isn't good or bad karma. All karma is bad. Well that's how I understand their view. Here's a quote from wikipedia on Karma in Jainism: "According to Indologist Robert J. Zydenbos, karma is a system of natural laws, where actions that carry moral significance are considered to cause certain consequences in the same way as physical actions. When one holds an apple and then lets it go, the apple will fall. There is no judge, and no moral judgment involved, since this is a mechanical consequence of the physical action.[10] In the same manner, consequences occur naturally when one utters a lie, steals something, commits senseless violence or leads a life of debauchery. Rather than assume that these consequences—the moral rewards and retributions—are a work of some divine judge, Jains believe that there is an innate moral order in the cosmos, self-regulating through the workings of the law of karma. Morality and ethics are important in Jainism not because of a God, but because a life led in agreement with moral and ethical principles (mahavrata) is considered beneficial: it leads to a decrease—and finally to the total loss of—karma, which in turn leads to everlasting happiness.[11] The Jain conception of karma takes away the responsibility for salvation from God and bestows it on man himself."

You mean this? http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supplements/ingredientmono-237-LYSINE.aspx?activeIngredientId=237&activeIngredientName=LYSINE http://www.traditionaloven.com/1572/amino-acid-l-lysine-health-information Looks interesting. I should be getting plenty of this from my diet, however.
