  5. sore throat and weak feeling

I have the same problem....I have started by filling a 1.5 L bottle of purified water with added trace minerals, and fresh mint sprig + lime slices and just keeping it around me and making a point of drinking every so often until it is all gone. And then filling it up 3/4 and drinking again. It works for me....just keep it around you and just keep sipping..make healthy habit....hydrate...a yogic practice I have done is to drink 1-2L of water at once first thing in the morning and then wait 45 min to an hour depending on your source. This can supposedly eliminate a lot of diseases...however it could be strain on the kidneys for some perhaps, so test your body, that could be a good way of doing it. http://nitaai.net/forums/frame.html?http:/...pic.php?id=2024 http://videosfromindia.smashits.com/view/4...amp;category=mr
  6. Ok, this is a weird concept but Ive been mulling it over since there are apparently conserved anatomical structures and gene sequences(hox genes (dorsal, ventral body axis), proteins, immune system, nervous system, sensory systems) between invertebrates (clams, insects, worms etc.) and humans, dogs, cats, elephants(mammals) all apparently have meridians, do other chordates such as tunicates? would it be too far out to imagine that the meridian system is conserved in some form in invertebrates such as a lobster or is it a characteristic of mammals only? Since they have different but homologous internal organs in function to mammals (nephrispores, heart, tamalle(liver), digestive tract etc), would they also have a meridian system running through their internal organs, would they have nadis? and if so how would you go about mapping them? What would they look like/feel like, how could you identify or infer them from vascular or nervous system, or intersects thereof? Do individual cells have micro-meridian systems? LOL a classical biologists nightmare, I know, but Im very curious. How were the meridians first concieved of in the first place? How were they mapped on other mammals? Although doing acupuncture on a lobster might not be the most practical perhaps this is just a horrid brainfart.
  7. Meridians and Invertebrates

Well apparently people are doing acupuncture on mammals http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2005/02/28/...ain677019.shtml and India has a tradition of massaging the marmas(analogous to acupoints, nadi intersections) of elephants to improve their health and speed recovery from injury. Even some holistic vetrinarians do acupuncture on dogs and cats to allieviate arthritic pain. The question about lobsters(invertebrates) is more from the perspective of evolutionary biology, if they have a conserved meridian system, how does it relate to the system of a mammal, similarities/differences? This would help us better understand our own meridian system? Or if we could demonstrate a biological effect of acupuncture on specific points on life span of lobsters, this could help proove whether or not it has any validity in treatmen as this would eliminate the variable of placebo, if any demonstrable effect is observed. I doubt if lobsters have any response to placebo....and perhaps in measuring effects on biochemical signal transduction that may be cataylzed with acupuncture in invertebrates may help us to better understand the nature of our own alleged merdians, or observe key fundemental differences or homologies which may shed light on what molecular mechanisms might be involved ? Pure speculation. Lobsters, like salamaders are capable of limb regeneration....is this related to the structure of their meridian system? Or is it simply a biological mechanism which upregulates the transcription of mRNA and that translates the protein fibrinogen growth factor that stimulates the formation of a blastema(stem-cell like structure with ability to regenerate a damaged limb) in response to injury and humans have supposedly lost this regenerative ability due to divergent evolutionary progressions in populations of billions of years of evolution, mutation, selection pressures? Or is there a relationship between qi, mind/body and gene transcription? I know most men can breastfeed babies, just by stimulation of nipple, and a desire to give milk....indicates stimulation along with mind body mechanism may activate transcription of prolactan which signals male mammary glands to produce milk...sounds like acupuncture(stimulation) and mind/body intention could have an impact here. That's not the only biological mechanism involved, just get angry and see how your biochemistry is affected, or have a great orgasm....stimulation, mind/body and response. I agree western science currently is in definite conflict with qi and acupuncture, but that must not hinder honest inquiry. And thanks for this article! Im wondering about the biological effects of acupression as opposed to acupuncture, or simply mind intent on a different points....studying these things would fascinate me. I want to learn how to regenerate human limbs with qi and alchemy....crazy? Good like getting funding.

Dairy is allergenic for many people, arguably coconut water or cream kefir would be better(kefir helps rebuild mucosa of small intenstine) coconut is a nutritionally rich source of lauric acid, proteins and minerals. Or you could get something like EM, effecitive micro-organisms (way beyond acidolphilus), and take a few tbsp of mother culture direct from bottle/ day. Then theres the prebiotics, jerusalem artichoke, celeriac, carrots, arabinogalactan(larch extract), chicory root, seaweeds, yummy but gassy, just about anything that increases microbial fermentation = some gas production.
  10. sore throat and weak feeling

Excellent point. GSE yes grapefruit seed extract at the concentration it is sold is highly acidic (low pH less than 2), so not something you would want to use without diluting, use 2 cups of water to make sure it is not too acidic...you can even add a buffer such as baking soda 1/4 tsp to ensure you do not get acid burn. When I was younger i thought more was better and put a few drops on a tooth cavity stupidly, it was a horrific experience I can sympathise, layers of skin cells died became ionized and denatured by acid and peeled off the inside of my cheeks, lips, gums and tongue, it was incredibly painful, and yogurt was the only remedy as it helps to increase mucous secretion, contains morphine-like molecules(to deaden pain), and contains lots of calcium phosphate which help to buffer acid + beneficial microbes to supplant flora which may have been sensitive to GSE. Always dilute, or mix directly with alkaline buffer. And with capsules you must drink with tons of water to dilute if you take them, stomach acid is already acidic, poweder is even more concentrated than liquid, so its safest to stick to diluting liquid GSE.
  11. sore throat and weak feeling

I ve said it and I will say it again GSE because it works in my experience faster than antibiotics on a strep throat, about 5 days if you drink 5-6 cups of water with 15 drops of GSE ( a bit bitter) and you can gargle with it. 3 cloves of fresh raw garlic, mix with tbsp raw honey (antibiotic and makes it easier to swallow coats garlic), swallow on empty stomach and do 2-3 times day be ready to get nausated if you do this however, especially if you have a sensitive stomach, it's kind of overkill anyway if you are already doing GSE. by far the cheapest way to go, sometimes you can get GSE with oregano extract which is also good. Everyone has given some good advice from what I can see. And Rain's chicken soup sounds nourishing and yummy.

Bug in this context is slang for virus, a virus is an obligate intracellular parasite. It's the same parasitic relationship you were associating with worms, even though not all species of worms are parasitic, though every virus currently known by definition would be.

thanks for prompting me Froggie with that bit about Aya....interesting study about a related seed. http://www3.interscience.wiley.com/journal...=1&SRETRY=0 I have been told the biophoton or BOSE scale is bogus....but seriously sitting in the sunlight will increase your biophoton levels or an infrared sauna...or maybe even a good meditation? probably organic food too...though not according to my nutrition teacher lol On another note about alginate used in the ganderma toothpaste, it seems alginate is a component of biofilms, and prevents antibiotics from defusing into the biofilm....seems quite brilliant they complexed ganderma with alginate, so that the bacteria use it for building biofilms to protect themselves and to create a nutrient rich environment, a...and since alginate should readily bind and diffuse through alginate where bacteria will absorb it and then are stopped dead in their tracks by the compounds ganderma after engulfing them.

anything that has a porphyrin ring...so yes anything with chlorophyll or lots of blood....or zell oxygen, lots of cytochromes (porphryins)....light energy absorbing conjugated double bond systems....they absorb and then transmit light energy as electrons are excited to higher orbitals and fall back to their ground state.

From the studies I have read ginseng supresses and retards microbial growth, whereas garlic inhibits growth with allicin and along with allyl sulphides...probably other compounds in garlic as well. Ginseng has more of an immunomodulatory effect(an optimizing effect -if too high, makes low, if too low makes higher) whereas garlic has more immunostimulant properties increasing the differention and proliferation of white blood cells including Natural Killer cells (Neutrophils).

Yod Therefore do the wise see in the letter Yod The fatherhood of Chokmah The unbounded Wisdom which establishes all. Heh Again, a window is set in the wall of a house, Even as the eye is set in the head They who dwell within may look abroad To see what passeth without Hence it is written in the Book of Formation That the letter Heh correspondeth unto the faculty of sight Vau In all the universe there is no break. By bonds indissoluble Eachpoint is fastened to every other. Heh Of mine own substance are all things made, And I give myself freely to every one. They know me truely who see That it is my nature to bring forth And to originate ...this whole universe is an expression of my primal will to yeild fruit. - Book of Tokens

  23. Gum disease

Since the mechanism of oil pulling relies on the physical properties of oil, mainly its viscosity, which thicken saliva and increases the pressure of the vorticulating fluids exerted by muscular gyrations of the mouth that centrifugates, suctions bacterial cells from deep within the crevices in the gum line into the saliva oil solution( saliva contains lysozyme and other defensins which will lyse most bacterial cell walls destroying them, and bacteria do not thrive well in an oil media) any oil would work in theory as long as it is edible. However, olive oil contains some compounds which are antimicrobial such as oleoropein and Hydroxytyrosol, so it will certainly work better than corn oil in that it intensifies the anti-microbial element, though with perhaps less activity than a synergistic consortium of antimicrobial molecules found in black seed oil.

GSE (nutribiotic grapefruit seed extract) is an excellent anti-microbial for many types of bacteria including streptacoccus mutans the bacteria implicated in tooth decay as well as a formidable antioxidant, antifungal (important for thrush(candida albicans) which provide ideal growth medium for bacteria). 1-2 drops on toothbrush, just make sure to mix it with an alkaline toothpaste(containing calcium carbonate, or calcium hydroxyapatite or simply mix with baking soda(sodium bicarbonate). Brush with electric toothbrush 1-2 minutes, softly as it can damage gum tissue if done aggressively. Be sure to brush your tongue as the mucosa of tongue binds food particles and sugars ideal breeding ground bacterias that form biofilms and hundreds of different species could be thriving. Brushing gums with cayenne pepper is quite spicy, but powerfully increases circulation and localized inflamation, augmenting the circulation of white blood cells to the area which help to kill off intracellular infection. Then make a mouth wash with 3 drops GSE, alkali agent (alkaline toothpaste, clay, calcium hydroxyapatite, novamin powder, or sodium bicarbonate), 4 drops oregano oil or 5 theives, 1 tsp xylitol (bacteriocide for streptacoccus mutans and facilitates the crystalization of tooth enamel). Swish vigourously and hold in mouth for at least 5 minutes or longer if possible and don't eat or drink for 20 minutes ideally. Fat soluable vitamins, Vitamin A, D, E complex, K and are important for gum health along with coQ. Oil pulling can be done with 1tsp clay, colloidal silver, 1/4 tsp 60000 heat unit cayenne pepper 3 drops GSE, and black seed oil to increase antimicrobial action. Regular flossing is important. An excellent product is tooth elixer ascended health.
