Diagram of Cultivating Perfection (Xiuzhen Tu)

Recommended Posts

I posted more than 30 PDF files that contain bilingual texts of Taoist classics and texts, here (latest DL links at post #56):

http://www.thetaobums.com/index.php?showtopic=8944&st=60

Right now I'm translating Xiuzhen Tu (XZT). (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xiushen)

I'll post it for free download when it's complete. Although it's one of the two most famous Taoist diagrams, it's not translated into English. (The other famous Taoist diagram is Neijing Tu; see the thread above, post# 60.)

I'll post the DL link for the PDF file of the translation (with bilingual text, annotations, etc.) appr. 40 days later (the same thread above).

But the only XZT picture I have is an online pic, found in many sites, like this one,

http://www.daoism.cn/up/data/090xzht.htm

and it's low-resolution. I'll magnify parts of the diagram, so I need a high-res (300 dpi) scan of the diagram. If you have a high quality XZT in a book, etc., please scan it and send me so that I can create a better PDF for all fellow Tao bums and others.

Your contribution will be awarded.

Thanks in advance.

P.S. Please save the picture file as a TIFF file.

@pitisukha

Mikael Ikivesi made a translation in 2009, diagram of cultivating perfection.

Try Google that.

47 pages of joy, page three is the entire chart image.

There is also a document, "Hsiu-chen Tu" author inknown, that have some nice images in it.

Catherine Despeux "Taoism and Self Knowledge", I believe it can be bought as a pdf. Great book!

Damo Mitchell's book White moon on the mountain peak also have it.

Poster size?

You could always buy a poster....

Or maybe not.

I bought a nei jing tu full-size printed on cloth poster from China years ago.

A waste of money, one needs a photograph of the original.

Don't know if it is the same with the xzt.

This would be fine enough in size but the resolution is very poor

Here is a legible one, but it's the reworked version.
