They just ooze 70's Thai Funk, which is Mark Speer's (guitar) obsession.

Their name is the Thai word for airplane.

I'm a wee bit smitten with them, they've been my flavor of the month since September lolz.

Ms Lee (bass) only picked the instrument up a year or so before going on tour with Mark and another band.  Something of a prodigy she is.  The more I listen to them, the more I'm amazed by all three.  That drummer is never out of the pocket.  He's a freakin metronome.  He and Mark met in the gospel scene in Houston.

As for Mark.  The longer I listen the more he shines in a way few guitarists do... and it's his backup instrument.  Same with Drummer... it's his secondary.

Ooh, I just got into these guys a few months ago, fantastic group. Good for studying and sleep, or calming my nerves in the car (not that I’m doing much driving nowadays). They kind of remind me of Shpongle except without all the goofiness and silly samples. Or maybe they’re not like Shpongle at all.

Big thanks to @GSmasterfor putting them on the mixtape he sent me.

A lot more birds .  Much fewer cars . Much less human noise .  I even noticed a lack of the occasional  high altitude jets passing over .

Here , during 'corona virus shutdown' ,  the noises of nature are more prominent .

Discovered this album by Ackerman in 1989.

Sophomore at University.  Recently wed to the gal living off campus.

My gal who sits next to me now, grinning as she instantly is transported by this song back to recall us dancing through our empty apartment in unadulterated joy.  We ate our meals on the floor.  No tv, (didn't bother with one til we graduated a few years later).  We had my cd player (also on the floor) and a bed, (the frame of which we soon broke, so the mattress also moved to the floor).

Don't need much.  Just the essentials.

Will is still touring.  Ran into a friend of his in the lobby of a hotel we were staying at for our son's 11th birthday.

Thanks for the soundtrack to one of the greatest windows of my life Will.

Music is off for now.

Hearing the dicing and prep of my gal cooking.

and over that... the intermittent shrieks, riotous laughter and joyful screaming of our Japanese neighbor, chasing her young daughter and toddler son about their living room... all while loudly humming the theme to 'Mission Impossible'.

Such pure simple joy and unapologetically wholesale bliss!

Treasure!

People say we got it made
Don't they know we're so afraid?
Isolation

We're afraid to be alone
Everybody got to have a home
Isolation

Just a boy and a little girl
Trying to change the whole wide world
Isolation

The world is just a little town
Everybody trying to put us down
Isolation

I don't expect you to understand
After you've caused so much pain
But then again, you're not to blame
You're just a human, a victim of the insane

We're afraid of everyone
Afraid of the sun
Isolation

The sun will never disappear
But the world may not have many years
Isolation
