Poetry translations

Why not translating some taoist poems , which are not only pretty, but also be key/clue for cultivation ?The one I like a lot is :

有物先天地,

無為本寂寥,

能為萬物主,

不逐四時凋.

Another taoist poem I love a lot is one written by a taoist cum confucian scholar Shao Yong(邵雍), who lived in the Song Dynasty ,ie ,around 800 years ago , as follows :

天心復處是無心

心到無時無處尋

若謂無心便無事

水中何故却生金

Try translating it as follows:

The Cosmic Mind embodies in us as mindlessness.

Once mindlessness has attained, nowhere can we find another mind?

Yet if saying mindlessness is meaningless ,

Why finding out in the water* the gold-like brightness ?

*Water refers to the lower part of our abdomen; symbolised by the trigram kan :

- -

__

- -
