You did not get into real learnning from a master in a taoism lineage yet, of course that is what you know and think now. But if you did have the experience, you will be dropping your eyes to the floor and laugh at yourself posting this today.

a. how could you lie and pretend you knew anything about me?

b. you are still acting as an elitist. that's not what taoism is about. it's about all things being equal.

If Dao is: "about all things being equal" Then the "I'll teach you for so much money" would not be there.

Would it?

The (so-called) Master would already KNOW (if he's THAT good!) what the student's situation was, money wise, and every thing ELSE, about a student.

Wouldn't he???

And then, he would NOT ask for $312.00, when the student makes less then $600.00 per month!

OR he'd be willing to let the student PAY IT OUT OVER TIME. Would he not?

But "all things are NOT equal", he's the "Master", and your just the STUDENT.

I never EVER heard anyone ask a dime, from ANYONE ELSE on any Philosophical Daoist list that I've been on.

I'm simply astounded that Religious Daoism is so wound up with money, and then paying so much!

There is NOTHING "equal" about such a system.

It's just more religious bullshit.

Aren't you tired of typing this tripe over and over? Aren't you here to pursue personal growth of sort or another? You seem to be stuck. Just an observation.

Yet there are much more work to do with the translation, but it is enough to let the westerners know that Taoism is not just Tao te Ching. Tao Te Ching cannot explain Taoism system fully, becaues there are just way more to learn other than Tao Te Ching.

The only thing more to learn than the Tao Te Ching are the things that your religion makes up to keep charging to learn. It's like saying that you're not a true Catholic if you just read the bible and do good deeds, you also need to go to church every Sunday to go through the rituals.

Wish you all the best on seeing the real face of Taoism

The only "real face of Taoism" that you have portrayed on this forum is that of a business fueled by elitist attitude making claims that nobody's interpretation of the Tao can be equal to your own because you paid for yours to someone older than yourself. Your religion is so perverse from its source that it bears no resemblance to its true origins. It's a copy of a copy of a copy. Each one gets progressively further from the original quality. I will make my own copy of the original rather than a copy of of your own. That is the only way my interpretations are real; pure, and derived from observation rather than being accepted blindly, and they do not fuel greed in the process. You can keep your articles, traditions and your lineages and I'll keep my copies of the Tao Te Ching.

Although I am a defender of religious Taoism , I am always against Taoist master meddling with money . The present case , and the previous LI Jiong's case , repeatedly prove the worry not groundless . In fact , it is fair for a Taoist teacher charge his students reasonable fee ( the truth is : unless he can really be fed himself with qi for months , not bread/ rice, who can be arrogant enough to ignore money ?).

On the contrary , what a real master asks his students is not for money , but their resolution, talent , commitment in undertaking the Taoist heritage , so that the legacy ( possibility of immortality) will not fade away in human history . Once some inheritors , even only one , are found, the master can really retreat ; otherwise he has to keep on wandering for centuries on earth , searching desperately for a successor.

In consideration of how few people from the Chinese Taoist circle who can share sensible Taoist knowledge in readable English ,which is really an arduous job , I still think we should not be demanding towards Mak.

I AM interested in taoism, and who better to learn it from than someone with a long genuine interest in taoism, but i also would not like to learn it from someone who teaches a lot of things in the wrong way. i.e. not fully and also not fully in line with what i would call true forms.

No, it's too good.

No elitist here; knowledge is being shared. yours is a self-centered comment. better to -ask- for more explaination.

Sorry i hit the wrong reply button :(

stop being an elitist. the tao is what it is.

there is no elitist here;knowledge is being shared which is the purpose of this site. better to -ask- for more explanation than to comment from the self(self-centeredness)
