Breaking by lifing 4kg concrete block.... not 40kg?

DIdn't break them lifting the blocks it was more of a recent repetitive use injury. (the break was a long time ago) The blocks were about 15-20 kg each and I was lifting two at a time for a total of about 9,000 lbs (over 4,000 kg). I loaded them then unloaded them. They are fine now - haven't hurt at all since I got the clinical qigong session.

Good to hear you are fine now thanks to a good student you pass on the teachings.

You tend to overwork in whatever you do, like its teaching, healing or working, take care of yourself

and don't overdo it. I know it is very difficult when one is in the Qi (everthing seem possible and easy),

people around me also have to tell me to stop.

This one comes from a female senior practitioner of this system.

Client: Mid-aged male

Complaint: Severe shoulder & arm pain with inability to move arm. Pain on a scale of 1-10 varied from 8-10.

This had been going on for one month with client on a steady self-medication dose of ibuprofen. Client did eventually go to a specialist physician and received an unclear diagnosis. Best guess was torn rotator cuff and/or biceps muscle(s). Scheduled for MRI if treatment unsuccessful.

1st Treatment (one week prior to seeing MD specialist): Acupuncture

Outcome: Client reports feeling no pain relief or regaining any range of motion.

2nd Treatment: Doctor gave a steroid shot.

Outcome: Client said pain let up for about 6 hours and then resumed more intense. Also severe reaction: no sleep for 48 hours, heart palpitations, nausea, heat flashes to the point of severe sweat, "rushing" feeling.

Then,

Therapy: Clinical Qigong and Chinese Taoist Medicine Therapeutics

Outcome first session. Pain totally eliminated; was at 8 on 1-10 scale at beginning of session. 80% range of motion restored. All of the nasea and feeling of heart disturbance and "rushing" feeling eliminated.

Client was totally amazed and agreed to come back the next day.

Outcome 2nd session: Client had slight bit of pain after sleeping overnight - pain completely eliminated. ROM increased to "almost normal".

Check of client 3rd day: No pain - slight weakness when moving arm through entire ROM.

Scheduled for followup Monday.

Amazing therapeutics - simply nothing else like it available.

This event happened last Saturday while I was helping a friend at her Reiki booth at an expo where she was trying to get clients.

My friend was offering free 15 minute sessions, and a woman came up with intense breast pain due to weaning her baby off breastfeeding. She asked for a treatment and a recommendation of herbs. One of my friends did a quick treatment on her, afterwards she was still reporting pain. I felt drawn to pulling sick qi on her and do a little wei qi lao fa, but quickly because she was in a hurry.

Treatment:

I pulled from her breast area, lymph and general chest area for about 5 minutes.

Outcome:

I had her sit up and she reported an 80% reduction in pain. I then had her sit down, and I pulled some more for about 3 more minutes and she reported that she felt 100% better, with no pain.

I also recommended she rub and work that whole area, to increase circulation, with the addition that it may hurt initially, but that it would be better for it in the long run.

I didn't recommend any herbs because I didn't feel confident in anything to help, but directed her to some herbalists at the expo.

She then asked for me info so she could come back if needed, or refer her friends to me. :)

I was amazed.

Good job!

Yes, it IS amazing. Allow your confidence in the Qi projection grow - you are going to be very good at this.

I did a session in a hospital a couple of weeks ago and ...to watch a heart patient with 10% heart function and congestive heart failure, severe shortness of breath, too weak to stand - to watch them instantly go from this to almost normal - this will make the hairs stand out on your arms and blink your eyes 16 or 20 times. This particular patient, to the amazement of his doctors, went home the next day. They do still have congestive heart failure and limited heart function, but their quality of life went from barely alive to walking 1/2 mile in a very short period of time.

A co-worker who also happens to be a kenpo instructor is practicing Gift of the Tao with me. Last Monday at lunchtime, she shows up with sporting a big black wrist brace.

She had badly spained it Sunday afternoon, had x-rays and such -- the doc told her something like "we almost wish it had been broken because that's probably going to take months to heal." After practice, I asked how it was feeling and she said it had loosened up a little while practicing GOT I and I asked if she'd like me to take a look.

Turning colors and puffy, it was clearly angry at her. :) I said a little prayer and did my thing for a few minutes. She described it as feeling like a combination of icy-hot and a tens machine, and that it was really warm. I encouraged her to take it easy for a day. Saw her the next morning and learned she had taught her kenpo class again that evening and reinjured her. I made some comment about not being able to fix stubborn.

Fast-forward to this Monday (yesterday) -- she show up sporting that big black wrist brace. She had not rested it one single day. Inflamation and limited range of motion were about the same as a week before but the bruising was gone, except for a discoloration running from mid-palm to about a third of the way along the inside of her forearm in a stripe about an inch wide.

At the end of our practice, I asked if she'd like me to take another look, but got her to at least say she would try to rest the wrist overnight. I leveraged the pericardium meridian's proximity and worked on her for another few minutes. I then did a little hands-off treatment of her water bottle. She actually asked another co-worker to feel her two hands because she couldn't believe it wasn't noticibly warmer than the other.

E-mailed her this morning to check on her wrist and, well, we'll pick the dialog up there:

How's your wrist?

I took it pretty easy in training last night. I’m happy to say its about 70% better than it was yesterday morning. There is still soreness in the pericardium line, but it is much, much better.

I’m amazed at how powerful qi gong is. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Now tell me the truth -- you were more than half of the mind that this was BS before I worked on your wrist, weren't you?

Several years ago, I saw someone use a qi gong technique to revive one of my Kenpo brothers who had been knocked out at our dojo during a clinic. I’ve also been on the receiving end of a qi gong technique when I’ve had various nerves lit up during arts. So I knew it wasn’t BS. With this, I’m not surprised that it feels better. I am surprised at how much better it feels.

Thanks again.

I spoke later with one of her Kenpo students who said she didn't exactly take it "easy" at last night's practice but she didn't go real hard on it, either.

Under the circumstances, I'll be happy with "70% better."

Ya Mu,

I just found this thread.  Did not read all 29 pages, so perhaps my question is a repeat:   For someone with only basic exposure to  Qigong,  what is the step by step incremental learning, in your system ?  How much each step would cost ?  I assume each step requires attending your workshop, since you have mentioned that it is the only proper way to learn your system.  Since i live far away,  if  learning from your DVD is of  use (as a beginner to your system),  let me know what is the use in purchasing your DVD as opposed to  coming to one of your workshops.  Thank you.

I think this has been covered somewhere, but, from a practitioner standpoint, it is very beneficial to work with the DVD to begin with.  I worked with the Gift of the Tao I dvd for a few months before attending my first seminar and I think it helped me to get more out of the workshop, but practicing on my own was not nearly as powerful as practicing in the workshop.

You could, potentially, only work with the DVD, but I don't think you're maximizing the benefits of the system by doing that.

Awesome! Yes, Making a difference is what it is all about. Great work! In situations such as this try to get them to agree on 3 sessions, either every day for 3 days or every-other day for 3 sessions.

As GreenTiger says below, go ahead and get the movement system of Gift of Tao and start practicing. Then come to a workshop. I then can make corrections to the moves as you do them versus you attempting to learn them in the workshop. It is not one or the other - those who attend the workshop should always get the DVD's to learn the moves.

Planning about it. Going to start it pretty soon. Ofcourse my mileage will be unique to me, I just wanted to gauge the difference in effects of practicing GOT with and without the transmission.

Without transmission, the GOT sets are very powerful. With transmission, the practitioner gets an energetic "boost" or "head-start." Whether that's measured in months or years is another "your mileage may vary" thing.

Practicing from the DVD is not a waste of time, if that's what you are wondering. In fact, it is a very good way to find out whether the system is a fit for you. Likewise for learning from an authorized junior instructor. I would never pretend to give transmissions but I have Michael's permission to teach GOT I & II -- I've had students experience an "oh, shit!" moment on their very first exposure to GOT I, students who had such an experience within a couple weeks, and students who just shrugged and never returned. The middle group is most common.

(There's more to transmission than "just" a boost, mind you...)

Time for a new case report:

70 year old diabetic with neuropathy in his feet and lower ankle and leg.  Was a neighbor of mine and I had been watching him limp around and complain of the pain in his feet.  His feet were quite deformed with hammer toes, white color due to lack of blood flow, and numbness.  I offered to try to help with an energy projection to see if it could make a difference.  He accepted the offer.  The energy was directed to stomach channels, liver, gall bladder, bladder, as well as those areas that were in pain - I pulled sick Qi from these areas , then flooded the areas again with fresh Qi.  I repeated the process on the opposite leg and foot.  He commented on how "light" his feet and "legs" were beginning to feel.  And then it was done.  I suggested he take his new Qi filled feet for a spin.  He exclaimed - "Oh my God!" "I cant believe how they feel - no pain for the first time in ages!"  and when we looked at his feet - the skin color had actually returned to a pinkish color of normal skin color.  He was very excited.

Now I am always amazed at the results that I see with these Qi projections.  But, these Qi projections that I have learned from Michael Lomax - Stillness/Movement, Qigongamerica.com ,  are extremely powerful and the results are very consistent.  I set my intent and know what the result is going to be.

The follow up to this case is that this individual was so impressed that he told his wife and she made a phone call across the country to someone else in need - a 6 year old child with juvenile idiopathic rheumatoid arthritis.  A disease that's tough to treat and very hard for a youngster to watch other children play while they sit on the sidelines.  I will report on this distance treatment in another case.

However - if you would like to begin learning Qigong from Michael Lomax - he is having a seminar in

Terre Haute, IN on July 7, 8th, with the clinical portion being held on July 10th 2017.

Simply go to Michael's website - Qigongamerica.com  and then go to his store and you can make the purchase for the upcoming seminar.

Any questions or comments -

After trying to work a long term numb extremities case with TCM and having poor results, reading this is inspiring.

Thank you for sharing this, Brion!

You have inspired me to share a story from November, which I don't think I posted here before...

------------------------------------------------------

My office is across the street from the nearest hospital.  First thing Tuesday morning, I get a text from "one of my guys" (a direct report) that another had just called 911 and was being brought to that hospital via ambulance.  I immediately walked across the street and started negotiating with the staff to let me in.

(An aside -- they actually advised me to say I was a family member but I wouldn't lie about it so it took a while to get the doctor on the phone to let me back.)

By the time I got back into the Emergency Department, he had been there about 30 minutes and they'd hooked him up to all sorts of monitors.  He was in respiratory distress and they were suspecting pulmonary embolism (blot clots in the lungs) but they hadn't yet done anything other than put an oxygen mask on him (his O2 levels would plummet if they took him off) and connect him to the monitors.

I should mention that he's in his early forties, is 6-feet 8-inches tall and weighs about 480 pounds...

His color was horrible and his resting pulse rate was between 135 and 145 bpm.  Any time they had him move or lie flat, it would spike to the 165 to 170 range and alarms would sound both in the room and throughout the Emergency Department.  It was clear to me that they were very concerned that they might lose him.  They asked him who should be listed as his emergency contact and he just pointed at me.

I sat beside him and created a sacred space around us, asking for guidance and praying that the will of the Light be done.  Knowing that they would boot me in a second if I started doing anything witch-doctor-like, I did the "stealth projection" I've been practicing for some time -- sitting in "business meeting qigong" posture and projecting without any outward indications.  I continued projecting when they wheeled him out and down the hall for a CT scan (the monitors were all wireless so I could see his vital signs and hear the alarms the whole time) and continued projecting for the next two hours.

He had massive clotting in both lungs (lots and lots of little clots which were determined to come from a large clot behind his left knee).  The medical staff were clearly in shock at the amount of blockage they were seeing and were doing a poor job of hiding their expectation but he was, fortunately, too distressed to recognize it.  Over the time I sat with him, though, his pulse rate began to drop back into non-terrifying range and they were able to switch from a mask to a nasal cannula (the little tube under the nose with the small extensions into each nostril) -- all good signs.

The doctor came in and explained that they were going to put him on Heparin to reduce the chance of additional clots forming and to help minimize the chance of infection but they would just have to wait to see if his body would start to reabsorb the clots on its own.  The next 24 hours would tell them lots.  They transferred him from the ED to the cardiac step-down floor that afternoon.

The next day, they told him to expect to be in the hospital for at least a week and probably eight to ten days, and to be out of work for at least six to eight weeks after that.

They sent him home after five days with no oxygen needed, cleared him to return to work four days later and he was back in the office Monday morning -- less than two weeks from when he called 911.  Today, with a co-worker accompanying him and an oximeter on his finger to be safe, he walked up the hill to the building next door to get a snack and walked back, roughly a hundred yards each way.

He still has a long way to go and some major lifestyle changes he needs to make but he is out of the woods and at least gets the chance to makes those changes.

------------------------------------------------------

Now, more than six months later, he has had no more issues related to this.

Lets talk about a for instance when I introduced the Gift of the Tao to a Martial Arts group that I am associated with:

I have been doing an assortment of Martial Arts for 40 years now - currently 7th Dan in Okinawan Ryukyu Kempo - Senior Student at a particular Dojo that have been practicing another type of Qigong for 3+ years now.  I had suggested that I attend one of their Sunday mini-seminars and introduce Stillness-Movement, Michael Lomax, and The Gift of the Tao Movements.  The Instructor agreed to allow me time to present - however, on the day of the presentation they had other plans and were only going to allow me 10 minutes of break time while people took a bathroom break.  Well, as Senior student I wasn't going to allow that and simply barked out to everyone to grab water and come back out and learn about Stillness-Movement, Master Wang Juemin, and Michael Lomax.

I gave 10 minutes of background information on where the Lineage came from - Master Wang, and the 5 Masters that he studied with - most notably Master Hu Yao Zhen - Master Hu actually was known to have coined the term Qigong and was very famous for his abilities and opened the first Qigong Medical Hospital in China.

Then we began to work the movements - I worked them very slowly so each person could pick up the moves I was teaching. I noticed people were shaking (Stillness/movement) , sweating, swaying, had expressions of amazement on their faces.  We worked through Gift of the Tao 1 one time and then did it a second time - some of those doing the moves were so completely soaked in sweat it looked like somebody had thrown a bucket of water on them . (Note - this is due to the amount of Qi being moved not because we were moving fast or the moves are hard to do.)

After we were done the next senior student in line yelled out to the School Instructor - "Will, we've been lied to. What Brion has brought to us is the real thing"! " I cant go on doing what we were doing I have to stop and start following him because that's the true path, I can actually feel it"!  More than half of those in attendance agreed that at their first class with me they could actually feel the Qi - whereas the Qigong they had been doing for the past 3 years mind you - a well known variety, they could not feel anything and it was much more complex.

So, here with the Gift of the Tao moves - very simple, easy to learn, yet very powerful.

I would encourage you to try one seminar and see for yourself.

Thanks,

Brion

What is really interesting to see is the first time my students start practicing Gift of the Tao 2 after they have gotten a fairly good grasp on Gift of the Tao 1.

I had a small group of students (6) that were regulars that I wanted to be certain that they were all comfortable with the entire set of GOT 1 - 17 moves, fairly simple set of moves especially when you compare to other systems - some that contain 56 or more moves in the first set and again many individuals that I inquire with fail to feel the Qi in these other systems.  However, this group including a 12 year old boy and his mother were all feeling the Qi quite readily and were completely comfortable with all the movements.

So I decided we would run through the entire set of Gift of the Tao 2.  WOW - The Angels came to visit...the room got extra thick with Qi , different then GOT 1, it was buzzing - different ...you have to experience it.  The closing helps bring you back to this world, however, the students needed to sit and regain their focus for 5-10 minutes before they left to go home - the movements were that powerful.

So, GOT 1 will generally take a person about 12-15 minutes to go through the movements and GOT 2 can take approximately 25-30 minutes to complete.  In GOT 2 you do have the SECA that can be a stand alone set or can be done with the GOT 2, the point here is that with The GOT you have simplicity and exceptional power. Why would you not choose to explore this pathway.  You can take 15 minutes and get a great boost in your morning or afternoon etc - I am not certain that another system exists that allows you to do this.

Food for thought.

I have a similar experience, Brion.

I lead a small group of coworkers through Gift of the Tao twice a week.  Attendance varies (it is a free offering and people come when their schedules permit) but I have a core group of fairly regular attendees, many of whom also practice some form of martial art.  When a session has new people or people who haven't done GOT I enough to be comfortable with it, I always do GOT I.

When the session is only composed of folks who have done GOT I enough, I'll lead them through GOT II.  Those who have done GOT II before light up like its Christmas!  Those who are trying GOT II for the first time are invariably blown away by the energetic shift.  I always remind people not to hop right in a car and drive off, though.  :)

I have a 5th dan kempo instructor who is one of my regulars.  Michael has given me permission to teach her GOT III when she is ready.  She's not quite ready yet but I did show it to her one day -- she was like, "Woah! I wanna learn that!!!"

Soon...

;)

I practice at least one set every day and usually several sets a day, often at different times but sometimes back-to-back.  I sometimes stretch them out, slow and long, such that it might take an hour to do a single set but most of the time its the timeframe you outline.  I realized not too long ago that the energetics have become so familiar now that I can do a set (typically GOT I) with a single repetition of each movement and with the movements so tiny as to be almost unnoticeable and I can activate the energy patterns of the full set in just a couple minutes.  Not a replacement for a practice session, mind you, but an awesome way to pass the time standing in a checkout line or waiting for a meeting to start.

I have introduced a couple dozen people to Gift of the Tao & Stillness-Movement so far and many of them continue to practice.  I have people at work ask me things like, "How do you remain so calm all the time?" or "Why don't you ever seem stressed by crises or time pressures?"  I smile and say, "Well, I'm glad you asked..."  :)

I have a few people who reach out to me, too, as a "family healer" (make that "family & friends") -- about an equal mix now of in-person & distance work.

"Listening"; Dancing in Wu Wei

It is always spine tingling amazing after the fact but general life in the middle of the fact - that is general life for a practitioner of Stillness-Movement.

I call this "Listening" but of course that is only a part of it as it really is Dancing in Wu Wei which includes the "action" aspect of the "Listening".

Example from one week ago.

I was preparing a shipment of basses - I own a high-end bass gear specialty store - and finally got the shipment ready to take to meet the UPS driver. I walked into my house on the way and my wife said she had breakfast ready so I stopped and ate. Just as I was taking my last bite of food I thought strongly that I should just kick back for a bit and instead of meeting the UPS driver (which I fully intended to do before I sat down to eat) just take the basses into a UPS store at a town about 30 minutes from me.

I decided to do our laying down Sequential Restorative Neigong method. I did so and fully left my body.

I came to now consciousness all of a sudden after 1 hr or so with the full awareness of "it is now time to go".

I walked out to my vehicle and drove to the UPS store. Just as I was getting to the stop sign across the street form the store I look up and see an elderly woman fall and hit her head on a concrete parking pad.

I pull on in and run to the woman. Her adult son was there and asking her "Are you OK?"

Well, she was NOT OK. She was barely conscious. I told her son to call for an ambulance. She was somewhat  responsive so I asked her some questions and by her response as well as examining her  I could tell she had a severe head injury and shoulder injury. Right at this time an off-duty EMT comes running over and I step aside to let her do her thing - which was a repeat of the questions I had asked her. The lady was getting less responsive and had closed her eyes. Bear in mind all of this happening in just minutes.

I did a Clinical Qigong emergency methodology for her. When I projected Qi to her head she immediate opened her eyes and turned her head and looked at me with an intense expression of wide-eyed wonder and kept looking at me the whole time I did the Qi manipulation. I was off to the side several feet from her but she absolutely knew what I was doing. I finished up and said a prayer and left just as the ambulance arrived.

"Listening" is a powerful methodology of the Stillness-Movement system and is a method that truly is wondrous for allowing us to help others. It sometimes is so convoluted and deep that it is extremely difficult to analyze or even believe from a mental viewpoint. But we operate outside this limitation. ALL my senior students can give examples similar to the one I just reported on as this is inherent in our training.

There have been many days where I did SECA just by itself and was shifted for hours afterwards. :)

Recently I worked on someone for 30 minutes and afterwards was told that they felt like they had 4 massages in one. I think the real "wow!" moment though is when people shift into the non-linear and reconnect with their Spirit. The sudden reduction in physical/emotional pain in a manner that blows through one's subconscious/conscious linear and mental assumptions is ultimately just a means for Spirit to accomplish that.

One point of amusement for me is when people ask why I don't let other licensed massage therapists work on me more (i.e. "Don't you know you really need it!").

I don't usually allow other therapists to work on me because I already do distance trades with other members of the lineage I've meet at workshops. :) Besides, I find that most therapists actually rub me the wrong way in terms of their energy/personalities (no pun intended).

Have a new healing case that I did just last evening on the 30th of December.

I have an individual that I have been talking to about buying a bird dog  - Llewellin Setter pup, we have been talking for the last month or so. As the story begins - I actually had another individual that I was buying a pup from but actually had to cancel that order at the last minute.  So, I had been sort of searching around looking as I am very particular and had been looking for certain bloodlines.  I noticed on Facebook a few dogs pic's that I liked and put "likes" on them - well eventually the individual and I began talking and turns out I remembered him from when I Field Trialed my dogs several years previously.

So - he started telling me about his bloodlines - he didn't have to tell me much - I knew all about them - it was as if I had been handed a gift, showed me more pic's and they looked exactly like my dogs and the one I had just lost to old age that I wanted to replace.  Even better - he had a litter due on December 29th.

So - Spirit moved me to text him on the 30th and ask him how his new litter of pups were doing.

He told me - mom had one pup 8 hours earlier and stopped - something was wrong and he was scared and getting ready to head to the emergency Vet.  I told him not to worry I would help - even though I lived over 100 miles away with a distance healing - and I would explain later.

So I did an initial Distance treatment on the expectant mother as well as on the dogs owner - felt his anxiety wasn't helping. But, was urged to do another session - so I followed up with another session, I could see the pups as glowing orbs and was calming mom and the canal for delivery but afterwards again sensed that wasn't enough.  So - ok - a 3rd time , listen closely to spirit , watch and look for the problem - open her up energetically - then I saw the problem, one pup was turned sideways blocking the canal - she just needed energetically turned.  Then get the energy flowing downward so the pups would flow through the canal safely.

I texted the owner who had left the pups with the emergency vet and told him not to worry - they would start arriving soon and they were all alive.  He was quite concerned that they had already died.  Well I spoke to him first thing this morning and he said the vet got ahold of him and said it was amazing, the births were almost labor free shortly after he left - the pups just kind of came sliding out - and popped out without a struggle and they were all nice and healthy.

So - this is a case that involves listening.  Spirit - Bumped me and told me to get in touch with him -- I did.  Spirit also told me to keep at it when I was doing my distance work until I got it right.  Now - I also have a happy dog owner that wants to know more about Stillness-Movement Qigong.

Thanks,
