Thank you durkhrod chogori

Music is another great mystery that makes accessible others in life. Much of Bach (JS) and Mozart fill the bill you set, for me. Selected Berlioz and Bellini too and others...

Music is dependent on time for its structure and impact, and yet it can evoke and send one into timelessness in non-narrative abstract eros, ecstasy and enlightenment.

Poetics beyond words, patterns beyond visioning, being simultaneous in all dimensions, what a gift is music...

sailing between music and mind, all the best to all

Great thread idea!

Andrew Llyod Weber's "pie jesu", Palestrina, early western sacred, "Songs of Angels" by Robert Shaw, Tom Kenyon's angels cd and Nordic music.

Same here. It doesn't get much better. Same with a few other artists I don't remember (since I recently got into classical).

my favorites are:

claudio monteverdi - his heavenly music lifts me up when i`m down

johann sebastian bach (especially the "goldberg variations" and the lute music) - bachs music gives me comfort when i`m really stressed

turlough o carolan - inspired harp music that brings peace and happiness into my life while listening to it

ravi shankar - his ragas illuminate my all day life

dead can dance - open the door to the magic worlds for me

The Mediaeval Baebes are coming back to Maryland again for the rennfest! Every time I see them, their music sends me into exhalted states. Katherine Blake's voice is hypnotic.

Any one's been experimenting with any Shamanic or Channeled (ha ha don't frown) music?

DNA Activation Music calls itself Shamanic. I don't know if it really activates DNA, but it does sound pleasant, relaxing and "different".

I also love music from Tom Kenyon. Some of his music is simply out of the world!
