Barry Long or something better?

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys.

Which of Barry Long's books are the best ones to pick up?

I just did a search on Barry here and found this topic http://www.thetaobums.com/index.php?showto...p;hl=barry+long

Interesting critique of Barry by Mitch there.. Just wondering if Mitch and others could give me directions for material that deals with finding harmony among the sexes and leading a life that includes sex, love and spirituality without cutting away something of your personality or living a half life.

I've already read David Deida's - "The Way of The Superior Man" and I found it interesting.

Any other suggestions?

Hey Guys.

Only Fear Dies, and Stillness is the Way. The latter gave me a stronger transmission than a lot of workshops.

Plus any of the gender-based / love ones.

To be honest, you'll either like all of them or none.

Cheers,

I

P.S. Not being personal, but Mitch really got the wrong end of the stick there. You need to read where BL defines his terms....

Last spiritual book you will need. The Highest practice to Enlightened Awareness. Do this 10 week practice and your search will end:

by Michael Brown: Practicing Presence

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0825305373

If you don't like the book, I'll buy it from you... have been turning elected people to it. Goes wWAY beyond Tolle's

approach... now that Oprah people are reading him, good for them, good for the world...

If you want to go into a monk like practice, you can also work with this excellent book:

http://www.amazon.com/DIRECT-RAPID-MEANS-E...f_tit_1_rdssss0

Will keep you going deeper... clear and succinct...

and lastly, for additional reading if you must, AFTER COMPLETING Brown's Practice:

Then quit reading "spiritual books " and deepen your practice. Read GOOD fiction:

I HIGHLY recommend 'Shantaram'... Movie due out next year w/ J.Depp, (miscast, I think)...

It'll knock you out, baed on a guy' reallife experience ecaping prion in Autralia, then fleeing to an amazing

life a a fugitive in Bombay. Lot'sa good fighting innit, for you warriors...Anyone else read it?
