Today (3 February 2021) is Li Chun (立春)

立春  traditionally signifies the beginning of spring in East Asian cultures.

The Lunar New Year is celebrated around this time.

Farmers often celebrate the beginning of  立春  with special village events...

Worship and offerings to the Taoist and Buddhist gods and ceremonies...

For a blissful and prosperous new year.

Great video Limmers!  Yes, that display was about right for 2020.  Although I was hoping for a larger conflagration.

We still have close to eleven months of The Ox Year left.

Hi ALL,

A simple question ~ why is TDB still associating itself with a very troubled year...

The Year of the Rat?

Hi Nun,

Thank you for your funny bits and pieces ~ be they hidden or otherwise.

As I am much into inertia ~ I am not easily annoyed.

However I am easily tickled...
