Draining the swamp!

That's what confused me about the logic (or lack thereof) with his supporters who said he was draining the swamp: all he did was substitute his own swamp for the original one.

Wrong swamp.  The deep swamp hasn't been drained too much as of yet.

Your political analysis makes almost as much sense as a Joe Biden livestream

Everyone seems to be an expert with "insider info" these days--all I care about is seeing what the endgame is, and as for people who cite QAnon like one member who no longer posts here (thank gods he's gone), I've seen better effort in bad 70s fiction.

I've come to a point where even if I cite insider info, it would drown in a sea of people who all claim to know someone who knows someone or have info nobody else has. The market value for information decreases, whether it's true or not, but those who actually know laugh their asses off because covering their tracks is much easier.

Sometimes people are so eager to have an edgy, clever take that they ignore some basic stuff and say ridiculous things. Like characterizing MBS' latest shakedown of his fellow royals as something to do with "draining the swamp", as if the Crown Prince is some sort of purifying reformer. Imagine a dysfunctional mafia family running a country and that explains a lot of what happens in Saudi politics.

The US political swamp has been quite effectively drained.

It's been slowly draining for years but Trump has finsihed the job.

Every last drop of clear, fresh, pure water has now been drained completely.

All that remains is a stinking, thick quagmire of corruption and greed.

Yay for us!

Well of course, most people here are experts.  Don't confuse me with people who believe what they post.  I don't have beliefs, and I'm well aware that the news about the arrests and Q-anon might be incorrect, It does seem too good to be true, but i have a feeling.  My wife does believe it, however, because she listens to some acclaimed Polish psychics who back it up.

In any case, concerning insider information.  I spoke with an acquaintance, in person, who was at a meeting of the rulers (the swamp), in person, because he was invited to be the next secretary of finance in the US.  When he heard what they wanted him to do he rejected the offer, for which his financial businesses were all shut down and he had all his millions of dollars taken from him.  Anyway, he told me about this meeting he went to which was two years before the election, and it was full of people from both parties who were the best of friends and basically agreeable on everything.  At this meeting, two years before the election, the next president had already been chosen, and it was Bushits the Bankrupter, who, as you may know, won in spite of really losing.  You know, they take turns, sometimes the Democrats win, and sometimes the Republicans win.  It's to give the blind sheep a feeling that there is some hope.  You've heard the saying, politics is simply for the entertainment of the brainwashed.

All this should be relatively self evident to any wise observer.

This last election Killary was supposed to win, but Wikileaks came to the rescue.

Yeah, I've met a few people too, but it's all mental masturbation to them at this point. Guys I've spoken with in person too from Eastern Europe, the U.S., and they have adopted this "Everyone's pissing into the wind now, so let's tell them to eat asparagus and watch them freak out when it changes the color of their piss" kind of jocular attitude about it.

You're no joeblast (he's too stupid to understand anything), but some of the sources like the memes come off less as your intent to mock the people who respond to them and appear as though you're citing them the way people use Instagram memes as their authoritative reference. I get you're having a few laughs using the memes as you mentioned earlier, but that's what it looks like at a glance, and I'm not trying to troll you when I say that.

No problem,  I really wish I could find the old Utube video which showed some young Democrat, in public,  screaming and crying like a sobbing baby having a temper tantrum, at a Trump supporter, yelling that he is offended by him and the adult should go away.  It is so like some of the Democrats supporters here.  Young, inexperienced, idealistic, brainwashed, socialists.

Immaturity knows no party lines. It's like people have forgotten that old movie Network about being mad as hell and refusing to take it anymore: they are mad as hell, but their anger loses power and meaning when they get mad about calling someone disabled or deaf instead of "differently-abled" or "hearing impaired" rather than getting mad about both Silicon Valley and Wall Street's continuous impunity.

Anger is useless when it is not put into action, and action is meaningless when it doesn't involve thinking.

There was a great episode in South Park on this.

How usa have two 51-49% opposing parties, so one can do the shit and then other claim it is not us doing this.

We made war, we bombed the shit out of your country and stole your resources, but those were just wrong party at power.

It could also explain how they chose the most senile and old people to rule the country as they are just puppets.

Everyone knows trump is insane, or Biden is not senile, and Hillary lost her mind long time ago, so they end up with less responsibility for their actions.

I believe that statistic means the total number of reported missing children that year. It includes children who ran away or disappeared (including multiple times) and kids who disappeared three years ago and still haven't turned up. If a kid runs away for 48 hours and then comes back, s/he is still a part of that number. See: https://www.missingkids.org/footer/media/keyfacts

Think about it, if 460,000 kids totally disappeared, never to return, each year, then in the last 12 years 5,000,000+ kids would have disappeared.

Edit: If there are ~130,000 K-12 schools in the US, then we can easily extrapolate that according to the 460,000 number each school would lose an average of more than three students per year, vanishing into thin air! Bigger schools would lose way more! If growing up in the US meant that each year three of your classmates got bodysnatched, we'd all be fucking traumatized and we'd be talking about this all the time, for our entire lives. My favorite thing about both conspiracy theories and pyramid schemes is that all you need to protect yourself from them is to sit down with a pencil and paper and do a little simple arithmetic for three minutes before committing to belief. Skip this simple step, and you are, as the Chinese say, "finished egg."

This would mean that we would all know multiple families with missing children. I, for one, cannot think of a single American family I know which has had a kid permanently disappear for any reason. I know multiple families that have lost children due to murder and suicide, so it's not like I live in a bubble.

I think the "millions of kids disappear all over the globe" obsession is promoted by the flat earth/Q-anon/annunaki/whatever internet conspira-religion. I know a person who believes that stuff and is convinced that the powers that be are drinking baby blood or harvesting baby kidneys or whatever. Sounds like a stupid fantasy to me, but hey, people need stuff to believe in. Some need to believe everything is Candyland, some need to believe we live in a B-movie.

Thanks for bringing that up, of course you are right.  From the link I saw the following:

  • 91 percent endangered runaways.

Of the nearly 26,300 runaways reported to NCMEC in 2019, 1 in 6 were likely victims of child sex trafficking.

It seems that a lot of the children used for sex trafficking, when they get older and 'worn out', when they totally lose their innocence and suffer from too much drugging, are later used for more sinister things, as mentioned in the video above.

in other news, it is said that Epstein did not really die, that he was an Israeli spy, that he is alive and well, hiding out somewhere in Israel, and Epstein Island was set up as an aid in draining the swamp.  To corroborate that, old man Rothschild has written that Trump is working to destroy the one world order that they have been working so hard to implement for a long time.

Lol. Why 70's fiction in particular?

Because it was when a lot of post-hippie times were not yet at 80s level cynicism, but conspiracies and observations were very telling.

In other words: Hunter S. Thompson's Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and other works captured a lot of the zeitgeist, while the bad fiction took it to absurd levels.

Uhhh, right, and "it is said" that Tupac is making an overland, on foot journey from LA to South America as we speak, all in order to seek out a master who can induct him into the Tienshan lineage. Maybe you should fire up the stove, it is said Tupac only eats strawberry crepes.

I remember a few years ago you said your view on politics was "head for the hills," which seemed quite reasonable.

It is said that this ethos turned into "head to the hills and then stay up there watching paranoiac YouTube conspirawacko videos while thoughtfully petting the duck on your lap as said duck thoughtlessly poops on your lap," which just all around is kind of a huge step backwards, G.

The farm animals are cool, though.

Speaking of heading for the hills, I heard Tupac was living in Serbia, where he runs a pig farm. Radovan Karadzic is hiding out with him. It was on the internet, look it up, it's real.

Fascinating. I just called him and, since he's also a highland farmer now, mentioned Starjumper's duck-poop-on-lap problem. He had the brilliant idea of repurposing used surgical face masks as duck diapers, which, honestly, BLEW MY FUCKING MIND.

OK, there are two Tupacs, one Tupac Shakur, and one Tupac Amaru.  Unlike most of the residents here, I think they would make worthwhile students.

I see the brainwashing has worked well on you clowns, see no evil, hear no evil, smell no evil ... except in the 'other' political party.
