Hi Folks

I looked up our old friend Mak Jo Si who basically makes hundreds of videos about some aspect of Daoism, who tries as hard as he can to get his students and friends to validate his teachings. He has reinvented himself three times and is now calling his system Tin Yat Dragon. For any new people who has not come across him before, looking for Dao practices, he is a fraudster and really is only interested in your money and pumping up his own very inflated ego. It seems to me he reads alot of books and looks at videos and makes up his own versions of things that are part of a genuine Dao practice. He is not doing genuine Dao sects any favours with his obsession with guns and knives. Buyer be very aware is all I have to say.

YouTube allows anyone to play a role and get accepted on some level by those who don't know any better.

Just watched one of this fellow's videos.  He is clearly living out his fantasy of being a Daoist master.  I feel kind of sorry for him.

I can't believe anyone takes this guy seriously. Does he actually have followers, Flowing Hands ?

Trouble is many people who like the thought of Dao magic can easily be drawn into his web, there's no Dao police!!!;)

Pretty sure he’s still a member on here in spite of TDB being on his celestial shitlist.

IIRC there’s been quite some controversy around the man previously, flamoffs, minions, campaigning and trolling.

I've seen him at more than one website over the years to share his 'business' offerings.  I've been suspicious of his ghost / possession stuff and his ability (at his level) to understand and handle this properly (or at all).

I've seen / found entities in others and have wondered what is it that causes such things;  are such folks just vulnerable, or have created an atmosphere to attract such things ?

But I have serious doubts he understands the spectrum of spirit/beings/entities/deities that 'visit' folks or even may stick around.  If he thinks he is going to blast a deity away, then I would suspect him even more.

Reminds me of the childhood saying we had about "I'm rubber and you're glue...".   Although I don't think it is just about being rubber; one can be very clear and thus, nothing sticks too.

He has no spiritual power (fa) so he cannot do anything. The Immortal Master gives you spiritual power when you begin to learn through Fa Fu and Fa Shui which one ingests. This builds up in you over the years and as you learn it grows and grows through self cultivation. Without spiritual power it is then dangerous to try and deal with any spirit of any substance. Many earthly bound spirits wish to 'live again', so will inhabit humans, who enjoy mostly a better life than animals. Some people are more susceptible than others. Mentally and physically sensitive people are vulnerable.

It is true fake has become normal today and is acceptable. What can we do? Feeling sorry about them? It seems those kind of people manage to keep going, take a look of how many times he has changed. Even in the beginning I remember seeing kung fu videos he had and most likely he find resources that maybe educated versions of whatever he presents

The reason I feel that way doesn’t have to do with him being fake, but not something I’d like to go into on the board.

Lets just say he reminds me of someone I know, hence why I said my “own stuff”

I’m not being mean or cruel mind you, bu I think its a little tragic to watch. For me the tai chi clips with ”secrets” revealed say it all, it’s hard to put in words but this man seems lost between utter crass drive and complete fantasy, his energy is scattering and whisking about aimlessly and his feet tell of a great dishonesty, but he doesnt seem to know.

He's got a hat with both yin-yang and trigrams on it.

How can you not be legit when you wear the Hat of Mystical Powers?

Finally, someone acknowledges the truth. Hats make the man. Hats contain the magic and is the only credential you need.

Even back in the prohibition era it was known: ”if a guy aint got a lid he aint worth talking about”. The hats.

I still don't understand, the guy say some things that come from some Chinese teachings most likely someone who has some kind of understanding. It is true that he doesn't sound educated but some comments I wonder where does he get it. Just curious.

Altar magic has some quite different mechanisms and goals than does cultivation. Also Hong Kong / Cantonese have it's own traditions not the same as what we're used to learning.

This idiot learns things from others, incorporates it into 'his' sect and then tries to explain how it works. Of course he doesn't really know and so changes things as he gleans more info from the web etc. He removes any negative comments from his youtube videos that might show him up as a charlatan. He works by bombarding the web with video's and ceremonies that he invents and makes up based on some that might really be true. He has almost hundreds of videos with virtually meaningless content. Someone should really close him down and his fan club that are all in it to rip the general public off, just like Peter Popoff did, but in a different way.

Unfortunately this is now the way of the world. There is so much disinformation on the internet, it's frightening. This goes for virtually ANY interest, hobby, religious/spiritual pursuits and pseudoscience.

Regardless of what people's opinions are about the guy, it is a fact that when our dear ol pal Yoda got the visitors he kept wishing for and they would not stop bothering his entire family and would not go away when asked, Mak Tin Si's efforts saw Yoda's family have some peace from the now-unwanted visitors.

I'm not saying it was strong enough to turn goat piss into gasoline, but the fu's and such worked in an actual we-know-this-guy case.

Proof be in puddin' *shrugs*
