Are All Our Assumptions Wrong?

Recommended Posts

So every now and then we feel we have insight and an enlightened view of life and the world. But! What if all our assumptions are wrong! What if we have to agree that, as all things are relative, we are simply biased from our vantage point?

So any mystic worth his salt is forever testing his beliefs, insights and knowing. But are we not all humbled by the infinite unfathomable nature of all?

I wrote this many years ago and have yet to improve upon it:

The seed of thought, the sum of mind,

And through it's memories became entwined.

And then it dawned upon it's reason,

To tread the path of different seasons

And then at dusk our memories cease,

And ask no more and rest in peace.

And then it dawned upon its reason,

To tread the path of the universal being.

And then at night and day, our memories cease,

To make way for an everlasting peace.

Even if its the complete and ultimate enlightened truth of the universe...

Yeah things never seem as they appear to be.

Things never appear as they seem to be.

Things never appear to seem as they appear to be seeming they are appearing to seem to be as they are seeming to be appearing as they are not appearing to be seeming to appear as they are appearing to be seeming to be as they are appearing to be.

...Should I go on forever?
