Thank you for making this opportunity available
for others to share their experience in the Chinese Internal arts.

My name is Eric Wilson . . . I trained and taught Chinese Kung-fu, Tai-chi, and Qigong for more than 24 years. And while I did realize a great manifestation of "internal" power, I also experienced some very strong negative effects.

I am sharing my story and these experiences at the links below, and it is my prayer that these will be of help to those who also have had questions about the spiritual source of Chi and "internal" power.

Thank you,
Eric Wilson and family

Hello, EWilson, and welcome.

Your membership is approved and we're happy you found your way to us. We look forward to accompanying you on some of the way that you still have to go.

Please take the time to read the post pinned at the top of this Welcome page and take a look at the forum Terms and Rules.   This covers all you need to know when getting started.

For the first week you will be restricted to ten posts per day but after that you can post as much as you like. Also, until you’ve posted fifteen times in the forums, you’ll be a “Junior Bum” with somewhat restricted access and will be allowed only two private messages per day.

Good luck in your pursuits and best wishes to you,

Fa Xin and the TDB team

Hi Eric,

The videos have great production. Can’t say I see it your way, but I’m open to everyone’s view points. Though I’m not sure how much you’ll get out of the posts here as you seem to be saying qi and cultivation is evil. 😊 welcome anyway! And enjoy.

You are welcome to jump right in to the ongoing discussions, revive an older thread, start a new thread of your own, or start a discussion in the "Newcomer Corner" sub-forum to expand on your introduction or ask general questions to help you get started.

May you enjoy your time here.

Fa Xin

Hi Eric.  Welcome.

Nearly anything can be presented as being evil.  But if we ignore dualities, good/evil, then things just are and it is only when things are applied with intent do they become good or evil.

No, I haven't watched the videos.  Maybe later.  But thanks for sharing them.

Blending light and dark... the "jungle fever" of the 21st century?

Seriously, though, i think Eric has touched on something extremely pertinent to many contemporary practitioners, and managed to do so without coming off as evangelist.

At any rate, the videos do have some great footage of authentic training, research, and deep personal experience.

Welcome Eric!  I agree with Marblehead's comments that anything can be presented as evil.

There is good and bad in everything. The same knife that cuts the butter can also cut my finger just as easily.  If someone who doesn't know how to use the knife properly, gets injured, it may not be wise to just the blame the knife!  Cultivation is also just like that.  The why, the how, and the careful handling of the techniques are important.
