Greetings from the UK

Recommended Posts

Hello - Greetings from the UK, where I do both Buddhist practice and have recently re-started qigong and taiji after a break.

Looking forward to sharing ideas and experiences here.

In terms of Buddhism, I align with Early Buddhist teachings, having arrived at that after years of being in traditions, first Mahayana and later Theravada. Now I like to study Pali and access teachings as directly as I can.

Taiji and qigong i first studied in China years ago, informally yet seriously. It has been on and off practice for me, and I always feel better for having practiced. So it's time to restart.

Thanks for reading, and see you in the forums!

Hello, LinLin, and welcome.

Your membership is approved and we're happy you found your way to us. We look forward to accompanying you on some of the way that you still have to go.

Please take the time to read the post pinned at the top of this Welcome page and take a look at the forum Terms and Rules.   This covers all you need to know when getting started.

For the first week you will be restricted to ten posts per day but after that you can post as much as you like. Also, until you’ve posted fifteen times in the forums, you’ll be a “Junior Bum” with somewhat restricted access and will be allowed only two private messages per day.

Good luck in your pursuits and best wishes to you,

Fa Xin and the TDB team

Hi LinLin.  Welcome.

I'm not a Buddhist but I go there sometimes to talk with some of my friends.  Might see you there.

Hi LinLin.

I am doing a few things about Buddhist practice so I have only one meal a day.
Are you ready for the change?

One meal a day isn’t a practice I’m following, but receiving food with gratitude certainly is.
