I'm not sure what those buildings are, in the Utah pictures - but you can be pretty sure that critical systems are NOT stored above ground.  If they spent 15 gorillion badrillion fakebux on building a facility to house the entirety of the world's data that you are hacking from them, you can be damned sure that it wont be situated so as to be easily nukable from above.

Oh , these guys have been active for years ....  before internet they used to intercept all snail mail, photocopy it and store the copies of everything everyone wrote  to each other . Thats how they stole my Grandma's recipe for apricot  jam . 

 

Even before photocopiers were invented ... they used to do it manually.

 

 

 

 

now, with electronic communication they need less people and less room , so its all moved inside the building .
