Why is it the Dao "Bums" and not something like Dao "overachievers" ?

Stick around, it will be evident.

I practice Taoism by sitting on my a**. :)

That works fine until something needs be done.

So it is said.  However, that is only when nothing needs be done.  The sage appears as if burned out ashes but yet he can spring forth with the energy of a tiger.

I find the Bum part as important or maybe more important the Dao.  In that we are an eclectic board, filled with many traditions and practices.  Bums can be pretty cool.  Open and traveling.

'Dao' as a principle is too vast to even comprehend, let alone describe, and it represents both the evident and also the ultimate relational, dynamic and all-encompassing field of existence.

It is 'Bums' that give it perspective.

Dont know what else to say.

From a Jewish viewpoint
When you change a name
You change the essence .
The forum was different
In the Tao bums days .
But the name was changed
To Dao bums .
D instead T ,  a huge change.

Back in the day there were no moderators. It was the Wild West here.

But you have to admit, if you could take the pressure it was a lot of fun.
