Yeah, I like to call it wu wei as opposed to non-action because there is action within the state of wu wei.

Looking upward, we contemplate with its help the signs in the heavens; looking down, we examine the lines of the earth. Thus we come to know the circumstances of the dark and the light. Going back to the beginnings of things and pursuing them to the end, we come to know the lessons of birth and of death.

The Great Sage's weapon multiply in number

1 becomes 10;100;1000

His weapons fly and think for themselves

Their dancing fills the sky as if with Dragons

Mount Hua Guo is a prosperous land, indeed here is a Poem to prove it:

Fruits abundant in all four seasons

Temples that are meant to last forever

Shining with the glory of the Sun and the splendor of the Moon

Living here makes one prosperous

You can say that it rivals paradise

Hi Monkey.  Although I don't venture into those aspects of Taoism those are pretty good quotes.  I couldn't read "Journey To The West".  Too much Buddhism in it for me.

“Golden Elixir is another name for one’s fundamental nature. There is no other Golden Elixir outside one's fundamental nature. All human beings have this Golden Elixir complete in themselves: it is entirely realized in everybody. It is neither more in a sage, nor less in an ordinary person. It is the seed of the Immortals and the Buddhas, the root of the worthies and the sages.”

Liu Yiming (1734-1821)

When the distinctions of true and false appeared, then Tao lost its wholeness. And when Tao lost its wholeness, individual bias

Oftentimes, one strips oneself of passion

In order to see the Secret of Life;
Oftentimes, one regards life with passion,

In order to see its manifest forms.

'The ocean is vast because it takes in what it puts out.' -wen-tzu

This means, in my opinion, accepting the negative and the positive. One must not ignore negativity (even though at times I do). There is another that relates, I've just read it somewhere.

'The wise turn calamity into fortune.'
