lack of love is illusion

Recommended Posts

The main teaching of A Course in Miracles, which supposedly was written by Jesus, and received by a human being, is that love is all there really is, and 'attack' is only an illusion.

This seems utterly ironic, but most students of ACIM don't even believe that attack is an illusion, even though that idea is the major point of the book.

The idea that attack is real is so deeply enmeshed in human consciousness, seems so OBVIOUS, that most people take it entirely for granted and don't even suspect or question that it might be an illusion.

Even Paramhansa Yogananda once said, 'Evil is real, just look at the world around you.'

You see, it seems obvious that attack is real.

The illusion is SUPPOSED to seem real - that's part of the divine plan.

The perspective of non-physical, channeled entities is that everything is happening perfectly, and every choice is loving. There's only an APPEARANCE of lack of love and attack.

Perspective.. I can understanding viewing the world through different perspectives.   There is the 'Mystery School' approach which sees purpose and God in every action.  It can be helpful and refreshing at times.. certain power and insight from it.

Yet, there's a danger there too.  Personal danger, ie there are things and people out there that will tear you apart, body, heart and soul.  Best to recognize and avoid them.  Also seeing things as perfect can keep you from rolling up your sleeves and making it better.  Ignoring others hunger and need.

add on>

Slightly tangential, I'm reminded of the founder of Aikido.   In his later years he was asked- What is the relationship between defender and there attacker?  He replied it is as parent to child.  A relatively loving point of view, still he was a phenomenal master level martial artist and his younger self had explained that his art was 'death'.

So.. good to have perspectives and the ability to pull the right one out at the right time.

The sense organ what sees an object is real but the object what you see from a sense organ is not the object what is in the world.

The object itself what is in the world is real.

You have words like "lack" and "Love", so you put them together into one sentence you get another word "lack of love". It is same as lack of money to buy a bread.

So you equate it with illusion. That means the object is still there but you just lack love to obtain it.

So what you imply is that absence of money is illusion and you can just take the bread without paying.
