Inflammation -- Moringa and Zahler Inflame-X

I've had to struggle with inflammation for a while now - I think mainly driven by poor diet (too much carbs).

 

Zahler Inflame-X:

 

This is a wonderful herbal supplement which contains following herbs --

 

  • White Willow bark
  • Yucca Root
  • Ginger
  • Bromelain
  • Boswellin
  • Turmeric

 

I sort of stumbled upon it on amazon, when I was searching for natural anti-inflammatory supplements. I read the reviews (which were great) and tried it. It works like magic for me. Within a day of taking this, the inflammation in my body (some joint pains, allergy symptoms etc) just disappeared. It also allows the internal energy to shine through, by eliminating the inflammation, which also reduces any aches and pains in the body. I've taken it for about 3 months now and finally stopped to try out moringa (which I've described below).

 

Moringa Oleifera:

 

I sort of stumbled upon this herb recently. We use it heavily in traditional indian cooking (eat with lentil soup/dal a lot). I didn't know it was called moringa, and it so turns out that it is a very good herb for many issues.

I noticed one thing when I started it -- it generates a lot of inner heat (something that people of my constitution - high kapha) might need. I've only started taking it and it's effects as an anti-inflammatory are almost as good as the inflame-x. But since it has other benefits - improves carb metabolization, and boosts the metabolic rate of the body, I am trying it out (stopped the inflame-x). 

 

Anyone else had experiences with these two supplements? Any thoughts to share?

Remove heat from liver, stomach, blood and bowels. It's all caused by emotions, lust, anger, stress, etc.

 

There are wonderful Chinese Medicine herbal formulas that purge all that heat.

note: I have had some excess heat troubles this Fire Rooster year too! Sheng Da Huang (rhubarb) and Huang Qin (scutellaria) are truly wonderful. Hmmm.

The best way to stop inflammation is to fast or to do ketogenic diet or both.

I can give you many links but the best is to search and find them yourself

Hi Andrei,

Been working with Ketogenic for awhile now, and curious what you feel are the most helpful sources. I've got  Marcola and Perlmutter, but wondering who else you have found most useful in getting it all to work......

Not as such. Turmeric with black pepper, hemp oil and salmon have all really helped me.  Thanks for sharing your info. I shall have a look at those supplements in more detail.

Hey Dwai,

Thanks for suggesting Zahler's Inflame-X. It arrived yesterday, and I am already VERY impressed. 

I've tried everything in the ingredients at one time or another (except the yucca... yucca?!... well, and the willow bark...), but there does seem to be something about the combination. 

 

Got up this morning and actually wanted to DO stuff! No waiting for the caffeine and movement to get me going...

 

Maybe I'll try the moringa after this runs out...
