So this teacher is in Chicago! He is a real qigong master - and how come no one here has mentioned him?!!

Crazy. I'm gonna see if Gary Clyman even mentions Master Tsai.

nothing.

Lol, no chance in H*ll is Clyman going to advertise a live "competitor!"  Nope...he'll wait until he's "safely dead" before he dances on his grave to plug his own DVDs!

Name: Shaolin Chuan Fa Kung Fu
Founder: Grandmaster John Chi Yuan Tsai
Brief History:

Grandmaster John Chi Yuan Tsai began his training under Great Grandmaster Su Cheun Sun of Taipei, Taiwan at the age of 7 studying 5 animal Shaolin, 5 Family, Northern Shaolin Longfist.

Great Grandmasters school was very heavy on combat, Iron palm and Nei Chi.

When Great grandmaster passsed away , mid 80's I think, GM Tsai began training with Plum Flower boxing Great Grandmaster Zhang of Taipei and has been under him representing Mei Hua ever since.

GM Tsai now operates a very large combat school in Mainland China.

Characteristics: It's a very nice mix so you'll see a lot of different elements. Stances, forms, punches, open hand strikes, kicks, Chin Na, takedowns, ground grappling, and weapons.

https://www.martialartsplanet.com/index.php?threads/your-style-system.82721/

So that's 2008.

Notice no mention of qigong - but instead "Nei Chi"

It just shows how the terminology gets switched around.

How many threads - with serious debates - have occurred on this website about whether qigong or neidan or neigong is real?

Actually "Nei Chi" is the real deal.

haha. Hilarious.

Search "nei chi" on this site and see if there's any hits.

So we get Nei Qi Gong and Nei Chi Kung.

Neidan, Neigong, Qigong, Chigong, qikung?

So according to Gary Clyman - does Master Tsai not know what he's talking about when he says his lineage is

Nei Chi Kung

Or does Gary maybe know about Master Tsai after all? haha.

Hilarious!

I was asking a question.

I thought it was an accusation - not a question. But the mods "merge" previous accounts.

So if you look at my older posts then you should be able to "figure out" who I was.

Or you can just go to my blog - where my name is posted - somewhere. haha.

I've had MANY account names here - probably half a dozen.

To be honest - I wish I could remember the FIRST username I had - that would be kind of fun.

I think that was around 2006 but maybe earlier like 2003? Who knows.

I'll try to look back to look for my first posts here.

The difference between 'Qigong' and 'Neigong'. 'Qi' (or 'Chi') is the Chinese word for 'energy' or 'life force'. It is what differentiates a living body from a dead one.

So here's another one.

So this is a great "marketing" gimmick.

I ask people, once again,

Why wasn't Master Tsai even mentioned before on this website - except just recently and "in passing."

Those videos - watch them - he has JOhn Chang level skills.

haha. He was in Chicago!!

Hilarious.

He is from the "Nei Chi Kung" lineage - in the Chicago newspaper, 1986. Linked above.

But NO - we are repeatedly told - starting when? About 10 years ago - this big marketing gimmick spread across the web.

Don't know the difference between Nei Kung and Chi Gong? Then you truly are not an expert!

Hilarious!!!!

But wait - there's more!!

What is so hilarious is Qigong Grandmaster Tsai has very similar abilities to John Chang - people describe the feeling of electricity and their bodies shake - as if being electrocuted or shocked.

This is very interesting and I would like to offer some speculation or insight. If you watch the first video and go to the third clip. You will see John Tsai's teacher doing a demonstration. He is able to move his dan tien from his lower abdomen to his upper abdomen. It almost looks like a big cancerous lump or disease.

As soon as I saw this I was shocked because this looks to me like very high level energy work. If you remember Kosta's book, Kosta mentioned a guy doing demonstrations in the USA (obviously he is not referring to John Tsai's teacher, but another man). This man from Kosta's book had similar abilities to move his dan tien around his body which doctors thought was a cancerous lump. Kosta told John Chang about this man and Chang said he had obtained an equivalency of Mo Pai Level 3! So it makes me wonder if John Tsai's master is at least level 3 for mo pai equivalency. The only reason I mention mo pai here is because this system John Tsai is teaching has the potential to go very far and your seeing possible proof in that demo.

I'm glad you noticed - and it's amazing your the first to comment.

Just think  - this is a website about taoist training in these skills and yet most people did not notice what you talk about, etc.

I mean just think the level of what people don't realize.

John Tsai's teacher was a high level Shaolin qigong master so of course he was along the lines of John Chang's lineage, etc.

There are several high level masters like that - so just as JOhn Tsai was in Chicago - with abilities like John Chang - and  yet no one on the whole interwebs talks about John Tsai.

haha. It is quite amazing really. There are whole cults sprung up around John Chang - and for good reason as you point out about what Kosta said.

Yes that video of him "moving  is lower tan tien" - I would say it seems to me that he is moving is qi energy.

If you read - I can't remember the source I read since I've been reading so much Taoist sources recently - but yes as the qi builds up it gets very hard - and that video is the first time I have seen that demonstrated physically - where this big hard physical ball of qi is moved up to his chest.

It is quite amazing and stunning - and this ability completely challenges normal Western science as well - our whole worldview is challenged by this truth. haha.

So what is funny is the only references really of John Tsai on the interwebs is from the Shaolin Kungfu scene - which is mainly just people doing hard physical training without any real experience or much knowledge of the serious high level qigong masters.

So there is a contextual disconnect - because then you have some very high level qigong masters but they are mainly known more in the New Age tantra scene. haha. People who are in denial about the need for the strong physical training as the foundation of the qi abilities.

In other words a high level qigong master can do "top down" energy healing - from the Emptiness to the Shen - which then manifests as qi energy as jing transformations, etc. and so people get addicted to this shakti-shen love healing from the Emptiness - and so lie around wanting to get charged up by the spiritual master, and believing on all these amazing abilities - which are true.

then you get the hard core physical trainers who never really get to experience the high level shen healings - because they are so fixated on the material level of reality and then if they are lucky they start to develop qi and get qi healings from someone like John Tsai.

I mean you realize - watching those vids - that those Shaolin Kungfu students were very very lucky to get those qi healings from Master John Tsai - and yet again John Tsai remains unknown in the West - in the qigong scene - in the New Age spiritual scene - compared to say Mantak Chia, just due to marketing differences.

in East Europe, Russia there are psychics and healers. World class level and tested. Working for police, finding people.

it has been on television many years now and different shows are made. Magazines where are stories about healers and other types.

Its popular right now. Huge amount of atheists but when it comes to medicine and phenomena then large sums are spent on healers and psychics.

So if there is another show there comes tests, and thousands are try to make past first test, eventually there is only one winner. And they don't disappear from media they will work and articles made.

Contestants are from all over the world. There is even one person from states got a high place. From one test that man told from only seeing a shadow, what you are.

Yea, this seems to be a common milestone.  And an advanced one at that.  Interestingly, it seems to be found more amongst internal martial artists.

Something seems to get lost in translation when practitioners don't practice both physical and energetic aspects.  Purely physical martial artists and purely "mental/energetic" New Agey spiritualists both don't seem to develop these abilities.

What Master Nan, Huai-chin states is most commonly in modern times when the spiritual Yuan Qi energy is achieved then the person "falls back into wordliness" due to "heroic overexuberance" - this is what happened to me. haha.

But this old skool Shaolin Master is a rare person who stabilized their energy beyond both the spiritual and the physical into the Emptiness Embodied.

And yet even on a Taoist training website - most people don't even watch the video or comment.

Hilarious!!

Bunch of zombies. haha.

Don't know - but I was thinking of the passage (p 120) from The Magus Of Java that shaq420 was referring to...

Quote

I thought about that. I had a friend in Greece who was a Korean Master of Tang Soo Do and a practitioner of neikung. He had on several occasions publicly demonstrated his prowess by breaking two-by-four wooden beams, inviting anyone in the audience to attempt the feat before he did (no one had dared). This man had a “ball” in his belly at the dantien point, a solid mass that he moved around at will. Manipulating the ball as John had indicated, this man could pass ch’i energy into his arms and legs. One physician, upon examining him, had thought my friend had cancer when he felt the huge lump; the doctor had gone through the roof when my friend had caused the ball to dance around. I said as much to John.

So, these abilities seem to lie at the intersection of integrated energetic/physical training.  If you just "strictly" train one or the other (as many such specialists do), you don't seem to get such results.  You tend to get either a New Agey woo-woo airy-fairy or Joe Brogan MMA meathead.

I dont know of any videos, but you might try searching moving dan ttien on youtube. The chen style taichi that i  encountered put alot of emphesis on developing the dan tien and it can be seen moving and felt physically. Other styles were supposed to train it too, im sure .

Master Yan Xin's teacher was the top Shaolin qigong master - Haiden - so the "soft" and "hard" styles blend together at the top level. The teacher I trained from http://springforestqigong.com - I was told by his assistant http://guidingqi.com that the teacher who trained at Shaolin, he split marble with his qi but the energy was too violent so instead he does healing.

So - for example Yan Xin was asked to challenge Japan's top martial artist - it's in the Paul Dong book I linked before -

https://issuu.com/stellarnations/docs/paul_dong_-_china_s_super_psychics

So it states that Yan Xin just absorbed the evil qi of the Japanese qigong master attacking Yan Xin and then he just sent the qi back into the Emptiness so that the qi did not affect him.

So that is an example of how the "soft" style interacts with the hard style.

I have to thank you for posting this! I feel I am very lucky to find this as I don't usually go around looking at every topic on this website, but the first 2 videos generated enough interest in me to watch that 3rd video and I am very lucky I did. It feels really good to see what Qi can really do. In this journey I have always asked myself is Qi just the human mind or is it real? Every thing I have seen from different stories to personal experiences makes me think it is REAL but the human mind always has its doubt. Every one here on this forum has had their fair share of fighting but one thing that unites us is that most if not all of us believe that Qi is real. But we are all wanting to know how far can we really take Qi energy? I am very happy that you posted this on this site and I am very thankful that John Tsai posted this. John Tsai is allowing us to see what is humanly possible so that we can try to achieve something above and beyond ourselves. Now I know it is true when they say there are many hidden masters with a lot of hidden abilities and they do not want to be found. We have only seen less than a percent of whats out there.

Just think  - this is a website about taoist training in these skills and yet most people did not notice what you talk about, etc.

Haha I agree. I was shocked to be the first to comment but it is funny how there are not as many replies as compared to the Mo Pai vs Longmen Pai thread which has 22 pages. I go through that thread hoping to find good information about training and advancing my practice but that was clearly not the case lol.

It is quite amazing and stunning - and this ability completely challenges normal Western science as well - our whole worldview is challenged by this truth. haha.

Yea it truly is amazing to see a lot of different sources corroborate each other to further prove the existence of Qi to man and what we are truly capable of.

Very true. I never heard of him before. But it shows me how humble he is about his abilities and his lineage since he isn't trying to market himself heavily. I dont think he needs to market himself that much. He probably gets all his students or patient through word of mouth and that is more than enough for him. But I am only speculating here.

yes he did "market" himself to the Chicago community - I watched a late night "local" t.v. show he did that advertised a 1-800 number to sell his self-protection videos.

What is quite fascinating is the first thing he teaches is to change to a positive state of mind to "protect" - and clearly he is referring to meditation here as this is the deeper vagus nerve qi energy. Whereas the "defense" mode of mind is the sympathetic adrenaline.

So we know to be relaxed and calm is a key to the martial arts training - and so at first he marketed himself as a protection teacher - and he says "don't freeze" - and so we know the "freeze" reaction is the deeper vagus nerve on the right side.

So in fact what happens with qi energy transmission, as I describe in my free pdf - is there is a "switch" from the vagus nerve to the sympathetic nervous system - and so you switch from the mind state of protection - which is the vagus love energy as courage and compassion - and then the sympathetic switches into fight mode.

He says the key is speed and to not think about it - but just attack quicker than the person attacking you.

So we know that if there is a HUGE surge of sympathetic adrenaline energy this causes the brain to process information faster while external time appears to slow down and in fact, as Michael Jordan proves when he goes into the zone, that he really does move faster than his challengers.

So even when he was "marketing" himself - he was teaching meditation through his first mental state of protection - as the key secret - since that builds up the qi energy through the vagus nerve as the foundation and fountain of energy that later drives the speed that is faster than the attacker.

And the actual techniques he teaches are based on nerve pressure points as he calls it - and to leverage another person's nerve energy. So he says even a 100 pound weakling can learn these techniques for self-protection.

It is in fact a very brilliant presentation even though he is "marketing" himself. haha. But clearly he did need to build up a base of students to support himself and his family, etc.

compared to mp book, here is no aspect of afterlife. I assume people reading mp are having much wider interests.

if there is somewhere else a better material then why should i focus my time here?

void, and shaq you guys just don't grasp the "love from first sight" i already have that place filled, so you need to be use some other methods than a smack talk or bringing up some questionable stuff from deep webs.

guess learn storytelling what is captivating enough..who cares if the qi is coming from left side or right side of the heart...geez

c.ap.tivating, why the heck i need to withstand hammer hits to the stomach? there is an other guy who can take same strong hits to the balls too or truck drives over you and you stand up again.
