my great granny turns 100

Recommended Posts

People wnat to know if she is still coherent pfff!!! she is still walking in heels damn it!!

everyone wants to know the secret to longevity here is what I learned from my great granny and what others had to say.

When I asked her she simply said

"do what makes you happy and eat what you want."

if I ate like her I would have 24/7 indigestion! Also should note that the food supply has only been shitty for about 35 years or so.

She has traveled the world, seen the great pyramids and graduated college. She was also a teacher.Smoked cigs for 45 years and isn't afraid of a drink.

what others said about her at the party

1. she never complains...or as I like to say "don't be a whiny bitch"

2. she loves to live and doesn't think about it too much...when her hubby died 40+ years ago she mourned and then got over it

3.she has maintained a normal weight her whole life

4.she doesn't take medications...that shit will wreck your health

5. she has a strong sense of community having lived in the same area her whole life. She goes to church but isn't fanatical about it

6.Most important....genetics!! she has 2 sisters still going strong in their 90's

wow dude, she looks really good for 100!!! congrats to her!

my great aunt just passed away a few months ago, she was 94. I think her biggest issue was that she barely ate the last 10 years or so.

but yeah, not to take away from your gram's accomplishment...happy b-day!
