Cool!

I can deliberately change the direction of the Dancing Girl's rotation as many times as I like. (I am willing to reveal the trick but first I want to give everybody a chance to discover it for themselves... It's a neat trick with far-reaching implications...)

I can only see the right brain answer. I keep staring at her, but I can't see it. I can never see those magic eye things either :(

I am mainly right brained - clockwise

I am able to switch to counterclockwise - left brained

I can't figure out how I can make the direction change

It's almost like willing a pendulum to change direction.

:D haha that is fun, intresting that most of us see it going clockwise first.

Took me a while to switch it , had to cheat (I think) to get it going both ways.

Most interesting was our cleaner at work sees it switching direction all the time, does not make a full rotation for her very often

when i first looked it was counter-clockwise (no!). played with my thoughts and focus for a minute until it became clockwise. it takes a minute or two for me to shift it, but i can shift it. not really sure the specific mechanics of it or anything.

i left it spinning clockwise, which is how i prefer to interpret the world.

maybe a simple tool like this can help someone actually shift their mindset.

clockwise at first....took me a few to figure that one out :) I had to really focus to convince my brain otherwise...but maybe its just because its early in the morning :D

Counterclockwise first for quite some time - hard to take my eyes off the very nicely drawn breasts! Looked away for a while, came back and it was clockwise. All the women where I'm working saw it clockwise and all the men, counterclockwise. Now I can flip it with a little patience.

I can switch back and forth easily. If I focus in the bottom left hand corner of the screen, then look at the image it spins counter-clockwise. If I then focus on the bottom right hand corner and shift focus to the image it spins clockwise.

Me too (minus the 10 year thing since I wasn't here to check).

My condolences.  In our time Renaissance men and women are so discouraged that even the online thesaurus, when asked for the antonym for "specialist," gives only the insulting negatives -- "amateur," "ignoramus," "rookie," and the exceedingly ridiculous "general practitioner."

It does not, however, mention Zhuangzi's "useless" tree that can't be exploited because it does not specialize in being suitable specifically for making furniture out of, or masts, or chopsticks.
