Akashic Record?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

My wife has recently taken an interest in the akashic record and all that that is. Her birthday is coming up so I was going to get her a book on it.

Any one have any recommendations?

Also does anyone have any experience with what it is, how they interact with it and all that?

I personally think it is something that as you develop and move more toward the Tao, you gain more access to it... but I'm not sure.

I also want to avoid the glut of new age stuff that doesn't have any energy or that is more people exploring their subconscious thinking they are in the 'akashic'... or whatever.

Thanks,

John

I think its more of a 'Theosophical' thing ( Theosophy a la Blavatsky that is ).

Blavatsky was a bit 'vague' about it (meaning she didnt apply to it what others did) Sinnet seems to have collated it with his 'Esoteric Buddhism" (I dont know how much of his/that tradition is 'valid' ?) and Leadbeater cemented it together with clairvoyance and a 'psychic ability' to 'read' it.

It may be all Theosophy, I dont know (I guess you have to await an 'esoteric' Buddhist's perspective on that) ... you might have to source Theosophical Society books.

Rudolf Steiner books are free on internet, but if you like one you can buy a paper print from amazon. He has a book on Akashic records, please check it here:

Also Edgar Cayce is a famous prophet who was reading the Akashic Records:

I love Rudolf Steiner but he is such a dry read. I don't know if it's just the translation from German, but it isn't something the average wife with a curiosity in the akashic record would appreciate. I would think she'd like Edgar Cayce stuff better. I've also seen a book called Science and the Akashic Field that looked interesting. (you can get it on Kindle here)

Hey John,

Someone who writes about astral travel from the theosophical perspective is Kurt Leland. There are very few authors who have changed my worldview so dramatically. Much of what he writes resonates with Michael Lomax's teachings, IMO.

Here is an experience of his with the Akashic Records:
