Silly question probably but how do you sit in horse 'stance'?

So are you squatting more than actually sitting down to do it?

Squatting as in weight on your feet or sitting 'down' as in on a chair or a cushion with most of the weight on your bottom?

I'm interested cos currently looking at sitting forms for elders who can't comfortably stand for long at all.

You can do horse stance for 40 minutes? wow. I can only get 4 minutes and ive been training it for 4 months. Are you doing 90 degree stance or are you talking higher?

well I havent been doing it really for a while, but last time it was all done as part of my intuitive movement session,

 

intuitively I would change the angle of the "squat", move up and down like 2 cm, occassionally perfectly still etc

 

The wall sit is kind of useful too
