Loving my flaws, gratitude for the broken...

Recommended Posts

If you can pour tea into your cup and not have it leak, it doesn't really matter how the cup looks. :)

But even the pot with the crack in it served a useful purpose. Remember the story? About the flowers being watered along the pathway from the water that leaked from the pot.

Through my flaws

in awareness and acceptance

I discover what I cannot tolerate

in myself

and thus

know

what

I'm

not

in so doing

becoming more aware

of that which remains

which of course

is that

which
I

truly

am

This kind of reminds me of what Pinakola Estes (traditonal story teller and an author )wrote about the Scar Clan where members recgonise each other by the scars and says the one should not count the ages by years , but the battle scars .

Here is a great gratitude practice

Although I don't talk about it much I am totally with you on this. My life could have been (and has been) very different. I must be thankful for the decisions I have made in my life as well as be thankful to those who effected my decisions (even if the people were unbearable at the time).
