Venerable Huifeng, originally from New Zealand, received full ordination in 2004. He obtained his PhD degree at the University of Hong Kong
Presently he is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Buddhist Studies, Fo Guang University in Taiwan, with academic focus on Indian Buddhism, in particular early Mahayana sutra and sastra, translation and hermeneutics, and practices of contemporary Taiwanese Buddhism.
