the first one that came to my head:

"why is it that I am able to ask questions?"

the second one that came to my head:

"how much reality, of the whole, am I actually experiencing when I touch taste smell feel see think"

Exactly.

That is to say, I think the most important question is "What is the most important question?"

Oh! This is easy.

Three things.

One is a statement, two are questions.

1. So happy to see you.

2. How are you today?

3. Have you eaten?

Profundity is overrated. :)

1) What am I?

2) where have I come from?

3) Where am I going?

Saying 'no one going nowhere' can be a bit of a cop out - like claiming a view that one doesn't possess.

What's for dinner?

Where's the remote control?

Who won?

Cream and sugar or black?

Is it raining?

Did you get my message?

What time is it?

Where are you going?

Am I dreaming?

correct me if wrong but I hear som kind of hierarchical thinking

best, better, important, most important....

-right question versus wrong....hmmm, could get really neurotic

depends on the people involved and the situation & includes some kind of judgement wouldnt you say?

dont forget;

-should

-ought to

-must,

are UGLY words

fatherpaul i dig you

i dig all your poetricks and questions

The most powerful question is the most timely question. "Where's the remote control?" is THE question when a family sits down to watch a movie. "Is Jesus our savior?" would be the wrong question to ask at this time, and "who am I?" ditto, and "what's the meaning of life?" ditto. For every question, there's a perfect, imperfect, and dead wrong time to ask it. "Are you cold?" he should ask when he sees me shiver, not "are you enlightened?"

i have this story in the back of my mind about a witty disciple who approaches an enlightened master and says:

"what is the best question I could ask you and what is the best answer to it?"

whereas the master says: "the best question is the one you just asked and the best answer is the one I'm giving you now." :P

If you were shivering and standing next to the furnace control, I might ask if I may enlighten you. <_<

I think I have heard that one or something similar to it before. It's simply profund isn't it. :) .

I would ask:

"Why do I ask so many questions?"

Could be that 'what are the right questions?' is the most important question to ask.

Certainly the most honest

IMHO, theres only one question that really matters, and that is "What am I?"

If you can look deeply enough into this question, all the others answer themselves.

A student of philosophy walked into class after pulling an allnighter. Brain fried and weary, he asked his professor, "Sir, do I exist?"

Replied the professor, "Who wants to know?"

Science is answers that must always be questioned.

Philosophy is questions that may never be answered.

Religion is answers that must never be questioned.

Politics is answers that lobbyists pay for.

hello,

in answer to your question "what am i"

as your professor says; "who's asking"

the rest is a bit dogmatic.

peace,

paul
