HungryGrasshopper says hello.

Recommended Posts

Hello! I've just joined the forum and see that new members are asked to introduce themselves. I joined because I was looking for inner alchemy book recommendations mainly. I know Mantak Chia is very popular, but I was really wondering if there are English translations of the traditional texts that his work is based on. I'm particularly interested in the three levels of Kan and Li, Sealing the five senses, Congress of Heaven and Earth.

Best wishes then.

Hi HungryGrasshopper and welcome to the Tao Bums. Your question regarding original texts would get you different answers from different people as to what is best. Many would suggest going back to original works where possible, others would advise working from books produced by contemporay masters as being more easily understood by by the modern mind.

take a look through the forum, read the posts on your subjects of interest and ask your questions there. First though, please read the two posts pinned at the top of the Lobby and take a look at the forum terms and rules http://thetaobums.com/topic/19575-forum-terms-rules/ This covers all you need be aware of as things are pretty easy going here.

Good luck and best wishes,

Chang
