Fasting during the Summer Solstice
The Summer Solstice
The day that the Earth's North Pole is tilted closest to the sun is called the summer solstice. This is the longest day (most daylight hours) of the year for people living in the northern hemisphere. It is also the day that the Sun reaches its highest point in the sky. The body itself can be seen to be physically affected by seasonal change. Within the body is a gland called the 'Pineal Gland' controlling some of the internal clocks which are affected by the movement or journey of the Sun. As the daylight hours shorten, the pineal gland releases the chemical 'Melatonin', this in turn controls the amount of 'Seritonin' in the brain. The pineal gland is sensitive to, and reacts to, the amount of light working in conjuction with the 'Endocrine System'. The body experiences changes in energy levels and in the emotional balance, so being affected by the environment. The Summer Solstice- occurs in 2009 on Saturday, June 20, at 10:46pm PDT; 05:46 UT 6/21, when the Sun enters Cancer. You know it's summer because the Sun reaches its farthest point north for the year. It is at its highest in the sky at local noon and the solstice shadows are very short. Peace and Many Blessing Fasting & Cleansing Family: Just wanted to take the time to update you of the auspiciousness of the Summer Solstice Saturday 10: 46 pm, and in full effect on Sunday June 21st 2009. Which is on Fathers Day this year. So, Happy Fathers Day to all my beloved Brothers.

 

By now most have already started a 3, 5, 7, 21, 28 day fas. Do what works for you... If you can only fast( eat a specific raw diet for a certain amount of days then do that. It is just a friendly reminder that there is planetary shift, change and cycle taking place and to get the most out of what you are doing or trying to do, you fast or cleanse to be in alignment with what is taken place. People acknowledge the Solstice for many reasons. So I will share the scientific reason for those that need it, and then I will go into the health benefits of the Solstice and the manifestation of dreams, goals, achievement, purification of concerns and illnesses. Which is my main reason for tapping into the Information? Planetary Changes that are taken place whether you acknowledge them or not. Venus has just entered Cancer at this point and our responsibilities to those that we love have become more important. The opposition to Pluto here suggests that any stress in these relationships will be highlighted at this time and brought into the evolutionary dynamic.
The Summer Solstice occurs when the Sun enters the cardinal sign of Cancer, the sign of emotional security and family connections. This is a month of integration and a deepening of our own inner purpose.

What is theme for the solstice time (summer) and how you can make the most out of what is happening. first just know a fast, cleanse, ritual ceremony, rites, what ever is just a series of symbolic acts focused toward fulfilling a particular intention and it is not always religious, however it can be based upon the seriousness of it, the intentions, the location, and or system or process you are using.

 

The purpose is to make the proper transition to one season to the next like our ancient ancestors did. They new when to pray, fast, plant the seeds, tend to the seeds and produce what was needed to survive during their time.
The purpose is to help you strengthen your self emotional as well, And to release or purify yourself of one aspect of your self or personality that you no longer need, or that is no longer serving or bringing out the best in you daily. It is about putting an end to the cycle of disease, chronic pain, negative thoughts, and beliefs about self, world, family and friends.
How do you know you need to fast or cleanse at this time: If are feeling stressed, overwhelmed, needy, have lack energy, or feeling out of balance,anxiety, nervous, feeling confuse, insecure, adjusting to a new role, new home, new job, environment, or a new responsibility. And mainly if you have a health condition that is serious and you are tired of dealing with unhealthy behaviors or health.

 

When we fast and cleanse it allow us to really get in touch with our destiny, fasting is just one spiritual tool you can use to develop and maintain spiritual consciousness , and cleanse and purify based upon what is appropriate for you and your body at this time. Each season has it theme and brings it own flavor and fun….

 

I have to admit the summer is one of my favorite times of the year. Because I love the sun, the beach, family, and just being in the mix… Below I will give a break down of the themes of the summer….

 

Summer Attributes : Warmth, Passion, Faith, Force, Will, Courage, Getting the Holy Spirit, Raising the Kundalini(Yoga),Balancing the Charkas, Tapping into the energy of Sekhamet, and Heru, candles, flames, fire crackers, B-BQues, wands, candles, all of these attributes and concepts where used for cleansing or burning away the things that must be released, the sacrificing of something, or reminding us of the things that needed to inflame or inspire us to complete all the goals of the year.


Summer – Is represented by the element Fire (Invocation) of course. And it is associated with Intuition and inspiration. During this time we can tap into new visions and new possibilities for the summer. The summer is about the new beginning, leadership, inspiration or a quest or journey… it’s about being passionate about your summer trip and plans and making them happen for your self and family.

 

Colors: red (passion), orange (vitality), yellow (warmth), white (safety and protection)
Stones: opal, carnelian, citrine, mother of pearl, white onyx, garnet, agates, amber
Instruments: drums, violins, high pitched strings soprano instruments.
The speech: inflaming speeches of change and transformation, stating intentions, invocation, and appeals to the higher realms.

 

The essential oils and scents are sharp, tangy smells, like cinnamon, orange, lemongrass, st. johns worth , rose, chamomile, vervain.


ORGANS TO FOCUS ON- HEART , SMALL INTESTINE- Small Intestine- - digest and absorb nutrients then ships them off to the blood stream, where they are carried to the liver. Gallbladder and Pancreas- when we over eat fats, salts, sugars the bile that is suppose to be in the small intestines ends up in the liver .



Heart- help control circulation so the dexoxification process receives its proper nourishment. - The heart provides the energy and messages needed to stimulate organs os they work in harmony. It’s about bring new depth to all areas of your life and staying whole and balanced 360 days of the year… It is about developing and maintaining a spiritual life daily not just on Wednesday, Fridays, Sundays, or Saturdays but everyday we are tapping in to spirit , Creator, INTR, Jesus the Christ, GOD, El Jehovah, Allah, Jah, Vishnu, Nesert, Senge Dong-Ma, Tefnut, etc. Because I feel whatever we do is an act of worship to the Supreme Being, True Creator. So we must have passion, faith, and courage about bridging the gap between the Sacred and Mundane. So, let the healing and cleansing begin…. Fasting Protocol:
What do you want to accomplish over the summer months? - What did you complete in the Winter and Spring that need to be addressed. Whatever the emotional issue are goal, put it on a piece of paper and work it out or bring it to completion or do what is necessary to have it manifested in the future...
Spiritual Growth Steps- A few steps before starting.
1. Ask Permission from Your Creator/GOD 2. Make Intentions, 3. Define true Purpose for Fast, 4. Do Forgiveness Ritual I can not express how important it is, to do this step, because you can take all the medicine, herbs, teas, vitamin in the world, but if you are still harboring hate, anger , doubt, resentment, judgements, negativity toward someone that has harm you in some way from the past. It will continue to eat away, like cancer, and grow stronger like tumor. So we have to bless them, it and move on. 5. Affirm your goals (this is important also because you have to Affirm you are whole and healthy and healing effortless or achieving your goal effortless. 6. Eat the foods for the fast, prepare your tonics, salads, fruits 8. Start Fast. 9. Document your process (remember ego does not like documentation) this gives you an opportunity to reflect and commit fully to the process.

 

The first Principle of Healing Spiritually, Mentally, Emotional is Fasting. Fasting gives your spirit an opportunity to evolve, cultivate, recognize and explore its Destiny.
You are training you body and life force. Seasonal fasting techniques are a medium for you to cultivate and transform and transport energy.

The year is divided into 9 40 day cycles-Dec 25th, Feb 9th, March 21st, April 30th, June 9th , July 18th, August 27th, October 6th, November 15th, These times are also set up by seasons. Autumn Equinox, Winter Solstice, spring and Summer Solstice. You must fast at all 4 cycles to be in balance and in tune with The Creator, Your Self, Nature, Earth, and the Universes. Keep in mind there are thousands of Fasting techniques out there and you must use what ever you feel comfortable with... This process deals more with tapping in to the auspiciousness of the moment and time to bring balance then cultivation. Because our health and vibration must be stable, fluid, open, and receptive for transformation. However, when you do the same you get the same.... A good way to look at this is- We act and carry our self a certain way because of families, jobs, mates, friends, society etc. But that is not our true self. That is our conditioned self. The mask that we wear to fit in, get along, keep the peace, get over, achieve our goals. Etc.
