Animal Flesh and the Fall of Man.

You might want to read this before believing the Hitler was a vegetarian thing.

Hmmm yea ok, I looked into that (My undergrad major was history with emphasis on WWII) and apparently Joseph Goebbels propagated the myth of Hitler being a vegetarian as a display of his total dedication to Germany. Apparently this is why Hitler officially remained single until almost the very end so that he might be seen as the potential suitor of all German maidens.

Alright thanks for the correction.

Fruit is good the body likes sugar and sweet... natural stuff.

Drink a fresh fruit juice and you will be jumping out of your skin.

Yesterday I had about 4 oranges + half a watermelon ... usually have a good number of dates, apples, bananas
Many when they go vege start eating a lot of grains / breads etc... gluten causes fatigue... most of the worlds population has some negative reaction to it.

Although we are omnivores I often find myself thinking is there one main food group we should be ideally eating. It is generally believed that the human body was designed to eat fruit. We only need to look at our closest relatives the chimpanzees to reinforce this fact. There are many features and physiological characteristics about the human body that give rise to this idea, that we are ideally designed to consume fruit.

We have a medium length gastrointestinal tract which is ideally suited for the digestive and an absorption of fruit. Compare this to carnivores such as dogs who have short digestive tracts and herbivores, such as sheep who have actually longed gastrointestinal tract, which allows vegetable matter such as grass to sit in the stomach for a prolonged duration and ferment. We don't have claws or sharp fangs for ripping and tearing at flesh like the carnivores. We have colour vision to identify different coloured fruits and hands for grasping and picking. he enzymes in saliva and the human gastrointestinal tract are ideally suited to the digestions and absorption of fruit. As well as not having sharp fangs, our back teeth are thick and flat which makes them ideal for crushing and grinding.

Our early ancestors lived in hot tropical climates where fruit was in abundance and was easily accessible. It was only later, after migration away from these tropical areas that we started hunting for meat and as a result using fire for cooking. Many people who go from eating a normal Western diet to consuming just fruit feel the benefits after only a few days. They feel like they have more energy, feel cleaner, alert and their digestive tract works very efficiently. This is because the digestion and absorption of meat takes longer, requires more energy and produces more waste products in the gastrointestinal tract. Interestingly, it is only when adding protein or starchy foods to a fruit diet that problems such as fermentation occur producing a lot of gas in the bowel.

Although it is important to have a varied diet, consuming increased quantities of fruit especially as the juice can improve your health and well-being.

Science Verifies That Humans' Ancestors Were Frugivores

Recent research by anthropologists shows that we had an arboreal past. Ourgenetic ancestors were once tree dwellers. At that time, our genetic ancestorsdepended upon products of the tree, and later upon the fruits of stalk and vinefor our sustenance. Dr. Alan Walker, an anthropologist of John HopkinsUniversity in Maryland, has done research showing that early humans wereonce exclusively fruit eaters. By careful examination of fossil teeth andfossilized human remains with electron microscopes and other sophisticatedtools, Dr. Walker and his colleagues are absolutely certain that early humansuntil relatively recently, were total fruitarians. These findings were reported indepth in the May 15, 1979 issue of the New York Times. http://www.scribd.com/doc/17111888/Science-Verifies-That-Humans-Are-Frugivores

Alright I finally decided to poke my nose in this thread mainly for some advice. I have tried going meatless a few times in my life and what ends up happening is that I get really weak and tired. If this didn't happen to me I'd be much more inclined to be meatless so my question is does anyone have some good dietary advice about how to go meatless and still get enough protein so they are not weak and tired all the time?

*though as far as vegetarianism leading to world peace, Adolf Hitler was a vegetarian. :glare:

here are 4 powders that i mix to gether and add to water or fruit juices or smothies you can order them from www.nuts.com, i use this site because they have almost everything ive been looking for. the base 4 come in 1 l bags and the ones for taste comes in 4oz bags. the mixtures las about 4-6 months using 1tbs aday maybe longer.

spirulina

maca

moringa

chlorella

for more taste add camu camu powder(high in vitamin c) and yummy berry powder.

the base mixture of the 4 when mixed, 1tbs=12.7 grams of protien thats more than the average pack of beef jerkey! also veggie protien lasts longer in the body and veggies have more in it than just protien. look up these foods and see the nutritional value for yourself...

It's too bad we all die anyway. Maybe someday somebody will come up with a cure for death.

Working on it (more turning into a light body)... I think this is a good step in that direction though.

Hey if the last 30 odd years of my life are top notch! well worth it I say...

I've seen people age... deteriorate, nothing to look forward to.

This however is very inspiring.

The Bama video... these Chinese people are getting around 107+ and they are working, walking, talking... no dis-ease... when they have had enough they give up the ghost, leave the body...

Ive seen people dying at 30-40-50 (from easily preventable dis-eases)... and we are suppose to be the most high tech, medically advanced...knowledgeable etc etc nonsense? haha

Mix this new lifestyle in with some Qigong and who knows...?? :)

When Ive gone raw vegan... just fruits + sun+ water etc for a number of says...I am buzzing... no energetic practices or meditation.

actually Hitler had one testicle - and he was homosexual also.

or maybe not - but when it comes to Hitler I definitely would not consider "lack of corroborating evidence" as proof to dismiss the circumstantial evidence showing otherwise.

although we all die, i think its about the quality of life we live. some of my co-workers say they dont care about diet and health and just gonna be happy eating what they want. now im in the coast guard and we have pt tests. these are the same ppl who dont perform well at all. they are less than medicore! the ppl who "care" more about their diet always out perform those who dont. lol and it shows...

Humans are (perhaps "only" [currently] hypothetically) the sum total of all things.

If Being Human Is ([in fact] the sum total of) All Things, Then the journeys through Conceiving, Life, Birth, Living, and Death/dying are but environments through which humans can find paths to walk amongst "objects of reflection".

Objects of reflection, or OoR, would be the Tao of things that occupy the 5 environments of experience.

Fire conceives, wood has life, water gives birth, metal is living, and earth is the sacred living ground where all dying bodies return to be burned by the fires of conception.

I used to worry about my diet and my quality of life. But since I'll die anyways, now I try to get by the best that I can, by balancing the death anyway thing with my hope that I could somehow cheat death. The hope isn't happening, BTW, I get older, etc.

So I don't really worry so much about eating raw foods. Cut out hydrogenated oil from your diet, and you'll end most of the zits. This is what I found.

Anyways, maybe I'm just jaded. Like that book in the Christian Bible. All is vanity or is it? I don't know.

Sounds like you are jaded.

Cheer up... get fruited...maybe you'll feel more vital.

I get spacy. I've tried the raw foods thing, but the problem is, I get spacy. I was vegetarian for a while, and I just couldn't stay grounded, so I ate a little steak.

I'm probably the wrong one to talk to about this, though. I don't think my experience is the same as everybody.

Actually Gabriel Cousens says the key to his yoga meditation in India with Muktananda was that Gabriel Cousens did not eat fruit because the sugar made his energy too imbalanced.

I actually have the same issue - I eat fruit of course but like bananas have the same glycemic index as a cookie - and so I get an internal tingling sensation from fruit just as I do from sugar.

So after researching this for years I discovered that the chi energy ionizes the free radicals created by sugar and this ionization process creates the internal tingling.

This is why "grounding" or "earthing" also causes internal tingling because "earthing" - walking barefoot - increases the ionization in the body from the lightning striking earth all the time and the Schumann resonance of the heart-mind.

So once I learned that - I go - yep finally the cause of the tingles is explained.

So I have read Tony Wright's book on the fruit origins - and I sent him some recent research on the acid levels of early hominid teeth showing that when we began increasing brains we actually were not eating that much fruit....

http://news.discovery.com/human/evolution/human-ancestor-diet-nuts.htm

"It is no coincidence that the emergence of terrestrial bipedalism went hand in hand with changes in oro-facial morphology, tooth enamel thickness and tooth microstructure," said co-author Gabriele Macho, a professor of paleoanthropology at the University of Bradford.

Macho and colleague Daisuke Shimizu analyzed the teeth of Australopithecus anamensis, a hominid that lived in Africa 4.2 to 3.9 million years ago. The famous skeleton "Lucy" came from the same genus. And anthropologists now suspect that the recently found and even older Ardipithecus evolved into Australopithecus, which likely led to the modern human genus, Homo.

Based on actual tooth finds, Shimizu produced sophisticated computer models showing multiple external and internal details of the teeth. One determination was immediately clear: Unlike chimpanzees, which are fruit specialists, the hominid couldn't have been much of a fruit-lover.

"Soft fleshy fruits tend to be acidic and do not require high bite forces to be broken down," explained Macho. "The enamel microstructure of A. anamensis indicates that their teeth were not well equipped to cope with acid erosion, but were well adapted to masticate an abrasive and hard diet."

so yeah some fruit but not fruitarians - as Dr. Mercola documents fruitarians get pancreas cancer and diabetes, etc.

From a TCM point of view the problem with eating too much of just fruit or too much of just any "flavor' is that each flavor corresponds to an element/organ. As always the key is the balance of the 5 elements in our body, in our mind, in our environment and naturally imbalance causes problems.

The flavor of fruit is sweet. Sweet is the flavor of the spleen/earth element. A weak spleen can cause sweet cravings and sweet cravings (if given into) can cause a weak spleen. Its good to try and eat a balance of the five flavors as much as possible, and of course the can be modified depending on season and body constitution.

Bitter- heart/fire

Pungent (spicy); lung/metal

Sweet- spleen/earth

Sour-liver/wood

Salty-kidney/water

if you believe science, then humans probably 'evolved' over the past 10,000 years they started domesticating dogs, cats, etc.

Which means we probably evolved according to something they call 'history', meaning a historical record. Like we probably evolved wearing clothes, cooking food, eating grains, etc.

If we go back to the caveman diet, it doesn't mean we'll necessarily love longer. But if it works for you, by all means, don't let me stop you.

when eating raw did you eat mainly green foods or how was your diet? because balance is the key! you may have needed to add some carbs to your diet.

All those books haven't really amounted to much.

For example...Dr Atkin was a heart specialist and died of a heart disease...

I've also seen a number of obesity "experts" /"doctors" who are themselves obese @_@ haha

The wacky world of "medicine"...

USA + western world are no model of health.

I like to see people walk the talk... and the videos I have provided so far are proof of that...

Maybe its not for everyone.
