Why red meat-eating Korea & US have karma of war..

Recommended Posts

Korea and US are some of the highest red meat consumers in the world. Go to any Korean restaurant and you will find lots of red meat dishes on the menu. Korean Beef BBQ are a fad not only in Korea but in chinatowns all over the world.

Go to any US eateries especially eateries in the rural areas where the small towns are and you will find lots of red meat dishes on the menus as well. Steaks, pork chops, bacon, ribs, hamburgers, meatloafs.. almost everything in the typical US small town eatery have meat in them.

Is it any wonder why two of the highest red-meat consuming countries in the world are at the greatest risk of war? South Korea has been at war with North Korea for over 50 years now. The US had started and finished various wars over the past few decades.

The Karma of War starts with the killing and consumption of animals especially red-meat animals like cows. I don't think that I will ever have sex with a Korean or American woman in this life-time. The negative karma from eating red meat is too great in the Koreans' and Americans' karma and I do not want to get myself dragged into hell just by even talking with a Korean or American woman.

I need to powder my B-slappin hand.. Here we go - *POOF*

http://www.westonaprice.org/traditional-diets/guts-and-grease

The diets of the American Indians varied with the locality and climate but all were based on animal foods of every type and description, not only large game like deer, buffalo, wild sheep and goat, antelope, moose, elk, caribou, bear and peccary, but also small animals such as beaver, rabbit, squirrel, skunk, muskrat and raccoon; reptiles including snakes, lizards, turtles, and alligators; fish and shellfish; wild birds including ducks and geese; sea mammals (for Indians living in coastal areas); insects including locust, spiders and lice; and dogs.

Price interviewed the beloved Dr. Romig in Alaska who stated "that in his thirty-six years of contact with these people he had never seen a case of malignant disease among the truly primitive Eskimos and Indians, although it frequently occurs when they become modernized. He found, similarly, that the acute surgical problems requiring operation on internal organs, such as the gall bladder, kidney, stomach and appendix, do not tend to occur among the primitives but are very common problems among the modernized Eskimos and Indians. Growing out of his experience in which he had seen large numbers of the modernized Eskimos and Indians attacked with tuberculosis, which tended to be progressive and ultimately fatal as long as the patients stayed under modernized living conditions, he now sends them back when possible to primitive conditions and to a primitive diet, under which the death rate is very much lower than under modernized conditions. Indeed, he reported that a great majority of the afflicted recover under the primitive type of living and nutrition."6

Maybe it's a local thing but we have stayed with meat eaters out west in USA and they don't eat nearly as much meat as the average brit.

They tended to have lots of different portions of stuff with meat as one dish whereas on a brit plate there's a big slab of meat, some potatoes and a few or no veg and usually just one type say a few peas or sliced carrots.

Meat is the main component on most british plates whereas in America it was an equal amongst many components.

Also they had the food in lots of serving dishes on the table and folk dipped onto tose. We only ever see that at Christmas in most people's homes over here. Normally food is served to you already on the plate it's going to be eaten off.

they even may share wives along with food and shelter

I hear they also have what we might call a taboo though

They dont tell other folks what they should do.

If thats bad Karma or warlike behavior ,,

The definitions need to be revised.

Oh dear, you really are twisted.

You condemn not just single persons but whole nations. Or should I say the females of a nation.

Then what about the Chinese who eat locusts on sticks and animals penis's.

Or the Japanese who eat sushi.

African tribes who hunt and eat their own food.

Would you talk to their females ?

In fact don't even bother answering tulku/bodyoflight/eternalnoob/mak tin si.

Tulku,

Instead of making things up, you could check the actual statistics. But that might cause you to question your world view, and you wouldn't want to do that.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/datablog/2009/sep/02/meat-consumption-per-capita-climate-change

Notice that countries like Congo, Rwanda and Sudan, where war casualties have greatly exceeded both the United States and South Korea (which is not even a heavy meat consuming country) consume very little meat. Your hypothesis is incorrect.

Even if your basic premise might be incorrect, the conclusion you came to is absolutely selfish. If you are as spiritually advanced as you claim to be, you would want to have sex with as many Korean and American women as possible in order to push them up higher spiritually. This will happen because there is always an exchange of energy and karma thru sex. And every time you would have sex wiht someone that's on a lower level then you spiritually, your partner would progress spiritually and you would come down a bit but since you know the way of purifying yourself thru meditation, it's not a problem to clean yourself up and bring yourself up to the initial level spiritually again.

I kinda think its unlikely for you too and I'm glad we can agree on something.

If you're not going to have sex with a korean you should at least try there food!* In the States I find it the most authentic of Eastern cooking, plus it tends to be very vegetarian friendly. They are masters of pickled vegetables, no cuisine does it better. And dishes like Bi BimBop, have just a little bit of meat, laid out on a huge bowl of fresh veggies, and its served with an additional 7 or 8 little dishes of pickled vegetables, sweet and sour that are tasty and increase digestion. Order without the meat and its still a filling dish.

Everyone, SunLover in particular should go Korean and get some BiBimBop, its great to eat and fun to say; sex with the waitress is optional depending on your karmic situation.

The crusaders were also eating pork. At the end of first crusade in year 1099 A.D., after the siege of Jerusalem, the city was conquered by Crusaders. They killed men, women, children, Muslim, Christian, Jewish, every body and every moving living thing, even cats, dogs and domestic animals.

The excerpt is from (http://en.wikipedia....i/First_Crusade)

Massacre

magnify-clip.pngThe Siege of Jerusalem as depicted in a medieval manuscript

The massacre that followed the capture of Jerusalem has attained particular notoriety, as a "juxtaposition of extreme violence and anguished faith".[92] The eyewitness accounts from the crusaders themselves leave little doubt that there was great slaughter in the aftermath of the siege. Nevertheless, some historians propose that the scale of the massacre has been exaggerated in later medieval sources, partly as a result of influence from Muslim sources, and partly as a result of the misinterpretation of the Crusaders' resort to apocalyptic language to describe the scenes.[91] Contemporary Muslim reactions to the massacre were muted when compared to later polemics on the subject.[91]

After the successful assault on the northern wall, the defenders fled to the Temple Mount, pursued by Tancred and his men. Arriving before the defenders could secure the area, Tancred's men assaulted the precinct, butchering many of the defenders, with the remainder taking refuge in the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Tancred then called a halt to the slaughter, offering those in the mosque his protection.[91] When the defenders on the southern wall heard of the fall of the northern wall, they fled to the citadel, allowing Raymond and the Provençals to enter the city. Iftikhar al-Dawla, the commander of the garrison, struck a deal with Raymond, surrendering the citadel in return for being granted safe passage to Ascalon.[91] The slaughter continued for the rest of the day; Muslims were indiscriminately killed, and Jews who had taken refuge in their synagogue died when it was burnt down by the Crusaders. The following day, Tancred's prisoners in the mosque were slaughtered. Nevertheless, it is clear that some Muslims and Jews of the city survived the massacre, either escaping or being taken prisoner to be ransomed.[91] The Eastern Christian population of the city had been expelled before the siege by the governor, and thus escaped the massacre.[91]

If you would like to see a recent example, Iraq was blamed for supporting 9/11 attacks and possessing mass destruction weapons, which was not true. The country was "saved" by US forces in 2003, also eating pork. Until today 600.000 to 1.500.000 people are estimated to lose their lives in Iraq, as an average 900.000.

Reconsider eating pork

The crusaders were also eating pork.

Thanks for the input.

The point I was trying to make is that whether or not a person is a carnivore, people will do what people do.

In olden days pork was forbidden for health reasons - it spoiled too quickly after killing and many people got sick and died from eating the spoiled meat. Now-a-days we know how to properly preserve the meat so that it doesn't spoil and therefore there is no logical reason to not eat it if one wishes to do so.

I know of no correlation between the food one eats and their desire to make war and kill people.

Now, yes, there is a collelation between not wanting to kill any animal life and our decision to become a vegetarian. But I will suggest that this is just on the edge of being unnatural. And I know that vegetarians are capable of killing other people if their life is in danger.

So, IMO, it is fine if the Moslems and Jews wish to not eat pork. But it should be understood that it is their choice based on their religious beliefs but it still doesn't prevent them from killing other people as can be easily seen even today.

In the evolution of our species, it is said that eating meat was what allowed our brain to develop at a much faster rate (because of the high protein diet) and produced what we are today - top of the food chain. And yes, I am glad I am not swinging from branch to branch in some tree in some forest.

I believe that murdering people is a terrible act. A murderer is a murderer. My point is that not only Muslims and Jews but also Christians had murdered and are murdering people based on their religious beliefs. I remember US President George W.Bush using the word "crusade" in 2001. There is a concept of Tenth Crusade. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tenth_Crusade)

I may give another example if you wish.

Belgium ruled Congo in Africa between 1885 and 1908. The Belgian King Leopold II's administration made terrible things. They cut off one hand of local workers who failed to meet rubber collection quotas. The Belgians killed many local people. Please remember Belgians also eat pork and as far as I know they are Christians.

Severed hands

220px-MutilatedChildrenFromCongo.jpg

magnify-clip.pngCongolese labourers who failed to meet rubber collection quotas were often punished by having their hands cut off.

magnify-clip.pngNsala of Wala sits with the hand and foot of his five-year old daughter, who was killed and allegedly cannibalized by the members of the ABIR militia.

Failure to meet the rubber collection quotas was punishable by death. Meanwhile, the Force Publique were required to provide a hand of their victims as proof when they had shot and killed someone, as it was believed that they would otherwise use the munitions (imported from Europe at considerable cost) for hunting food. As a consequence, the rubber quotas were in part paid off in chopped-off hands. Sometimes the hands were collected by the soldiers of the Force Publique, sometimes by the villages themselves. There were even small wars where villages attacked neighbouring villages to gather hands, since their rubber quotas were too unrealistic to fill.

One junior white officer described a raid to punish a village that had protested. The white officer in command 'ordered us to cut off the heads of the men and hang them on the village palisades ... and to hang the women and the children on the palisade in the form of a cross.'[10] After seeing a Congolese person killed for the first time, a Danish missionary wrote: 'The soldier said "Don't take this to heart so much. They kill us if we don't bring the rubber. The Commissioner has promised us if we have plenty of hands he will shorten our service."'[11] In Forbath's words:

The baskets of severed hands, set down at the feet of the European post commanders, became the symbol of the Congo Free State. ... The collection of hands became an end in itself.
Force Publique
soldiers brought them to the stations in place of rubber; they even went out to harvest them instead of rubber... They became a sort of currency. They came to be used to make up for shortfalls in rubber quotas, to replace... the people who were demanded for the forced labour gangs; and the
Force Publique
soldiers were paid their bonuses on the basis of how many hands they collected.

In theory, each right hand proved a killing. In practice, soldiers sometimes "cheated" by simply cutting off the hand and leaving the victim to live or die. More than a few survivors later said that they had lived through a massacre by acting dead, not moving even when their hands were severed, and waiting till the soldiers left before seeking help. In some instances a soldier could shorten his service term by bringing more hands than the other soldiers, which led to widespread mutilations and dismemberment.

[edit]Death toll

A reduction of the population of the Congo is noted by all who have compared the country at the beginning of Leopold's control with the beginning of Belgian state rule in 1908, but estimates of the deaths toll vary considerably. Estimates of contemporary observers, as well as some modern scholars (such as Jan Vansina, professor emeritus of history and anthropology at the University of Wisconsin), suggest that the population decreased by half during this period.[12] Others dispute this; the scholars at the Royal Museum for Central Africa in Tervuren, Belgium, find a decrease of 15% over the first forty years of colonial rule (up to the census of 1924).

According to British diplomat Roger Casement, this depopulation had four main causes: "indiscriminate war", starvation, reduction of births and diseases.[13] Sleeping sickness ravaged the country and was used by the regime to account for demographic decrease. Opponents of King Leopold's rule stated, however, that the administration itself was to be considered responsible for the spreading of the epidemic.[14] One of the greatest specialists on sleeping sickness, P.G. Janssens, Professor at the Ghent University, wrote:[citation needed]

It seems reasonable to admit the existence on the territories of the Congo Free State, of French Congo and Angola of a certain number of permanent sources that have been put again in activity by the brutal changement of ancestral conditions and ways of life that has accompanied the occupation of the territories.

In the absence of a census (the first was taken in 1924) to provide even an opening figure,[15] it is impossible to quantify population changes in the period. Despite this, Forbath claimed the loss was at least 5 million;[16] Adam Hochschild, and Isidore Ndaywel è Nziem, 10 million;[17][18] the Encyclopædia Britannica[citation needed] and Fredric Wertham's 1966 book "A Sign For Cain: An Exploration of Human Violence"[19] estimate that the population of the Congo dropped from 30 million to 8 and 8.5 million, respectively, in that period. However no verifiable records exist. Louis and Stengers state that population figures at the start of Leopold's control are only "wild guesses", while calling E.D. Morel's attempt and others at coming to a figure for population losses as "but figments of the imagination".[20] To put these population changes in context sourced references state that in 1900, Africa had between 90 million[21] and 133 million people.[22]

Another example could be given from Bosnia. Serbs are orthodox christians and they killed Muslim based on their faith. They went to church for Sunday prayer and the following Monday they killed people and raped women between 1990 -1995 For a radical Serb, a Muslim is a pig and should be killed according to their conventional belief system based on their Orthodox Christian church. Please refer to:

Srebrenica massacre (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Srebrenica_massacre)

Foča massacres (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fo%C4%8Da_massacre)

Višegrad massacres (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vi%C5%A1egrad_massacres)

Prijedor massacre (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prijedor_massacre)

Sijekovac killings (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Markale_massacre)

Siege of Sarajevo (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siege_of_Sarajevo)

The Christian Croats also killed Muslim Bosnians based on their belief system too. Similar to Serbs, Croats also consider killing Muslims is a crusade. Please refer to:

Lašva Valley ethnic cleansing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La%C5%A1va_Valley_ethnic_cleansing)

For general information, refer to: (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bosnian_War)

The Croats, Serbs, and Bosnians speak similar languages, they have common history. Bosnians are Muslims. Serbs and Croats are Christian.

As you see, unfortunately, Christians are also capable of killing people based on their belief system even today.

Killing people is not related with what you you eat. Eat more pork.

Well as far as they are concerned holiness includes eating meat. They would only be hypocrites in that context if they said it did not, and then ate meat on the sly.

Being a veggie doesn't make one holy it just makes one a veggie.

It's what comes out of the mouth that causes most trouble in the world rather than what folk choose to shove into it.

rather I am annoyed at people who claim to be holy say that other people are evil, satatanic, and eat other animals. I love animals, I have a dog, I love many animals more than humans. Mypoint is holiness is a concept. and this is big proof
