Is there an energetic reason Monks can't touch females?

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if anyone had any theories pertaining to why Monks cannot touch females. Has it to do with energetics?

If a monk in a high state of energy touches a female is there any consequences?

Yes, if a monk touches a female the strongest magnetic force will glue both of them together

Then the monk would be teleported to someplace quiet with the female still attached

The rest will be a blank for the monk and the next morning he would feel very baaaaaaad

I don't know about touching but sex is forbidden for obvious energetic reasons...

One of the basic rules for a Buddhist monk to follow was to be ascetic. It means no contact nor associate with any woman. Period.

Ofcourse there is a reason....go watch some porn, you'll feel energy starting to gather in your crotch pretty quick. :P

The reason is to stop them from getting horny because once the sexual energy is stimulated it is very hard to control and deal with in a healthy way if you are celibate.

You can develop a high level of skill and still touch women, it's a buddhist monastic rule upon entering a monastery.

Everybody stressing over porn need to find real women around them to talk and hang out with and that way you'll see your obsession. It's an image, if you need a release you need to feel a satisfaction that is based on your physiology that is unattached to the images that are not real. When you couple that with being around real women, you will get energy instead of feeling a black hole of the negative cycle. Part of it is just feeling bad about releasing yourself without a mate, but get rid of the image and do it with your mind, as you get the urge, and you will progress MUCH faster, also when you experience metaphysical phenomenon as a result of unattached jing circulating chi and the refinement of your spirit, previous energetic experiences like those become dull and boring. Real life is rich, this process of becoming full the empty cup is filled every day. Just pm me.

Two traveling monks reached a river where they met a young woman. Wary of the current, she asked if they could carry her across. One of the monks hesitated, but the other quickly picked her up onto his shoulders, transported her across the water, and put her down on the other bank. She thanked him and departed.

As the monks continued on their way, the one was brooding and preoccupied. Unable to hold his silence, he spoke out. "Brother, our spiritual training teaches us to avoid any contact with women, but you picked that one up on your shoulders and carried her!"

"Brother," the second monk replied, "I set her down on the other side, while you are still carrying her."

Yes, it depends what was all in the heart. It was the ultimate realm of determination of a high cultivated Buddhist monk. He was blinded, in his heart, even a naked woman is standing in front of him.

PS....

This is what 'emptiness' was all about in Buddhism.

I see nothing.

I hear nothing.

I feel nothing.

I taste nothing.

Rats, I was just about to type this zen fable in. You beat me to it. I think it sums up the issue well.
