Not establishing inherent nature, arising according to conditions, is wisdom. Manifesting in accord with conditions, not establishing nature/existence is wisdom.

A lot of 内丹 texts incorporate Buddhist ideas. If you're working from a text, and you want to be absolutely sure, you should post more of it on here.


But as others have pointed out, it is a Buddhist statement.

Well, a lot of 内丹 texts espouse 三教合一, especially since 全真派 advocates it. The discourse of 性理 is common to Buddhism, Daoism, and Confucianism.


《悟真篇》 says:




This is an example of advocating 三教合一.


《修真九要》 says:




This is an example of using Buddhist terminology, e.g. 万缘皆空.


性命双修 is an important theoretical component of many 内丹 methods. My understanding of this is that some 内丹 texts teach that 禅宗 deals with 性 but not 命.

No disposition but leave it with fate.



No disposition but leave it with fate is intelligent.



Leave it to fate with no volition is wisdom.



It seems like a Buddhist philosophy.

Let me try again to put it in a simplest way and think like a Buddhist.


1. 无性随缘是智,

Do not use your own thoughts, in the first place, to make things happen. Let them happen spontaneously and that was called intelligence.


2. 随缘无性是慧。

Let things happen spontaneously, in the first place, without getting involve with oneself and that was called wisdom.


Another words:

Do not use your own wisdom but fate and that is intelligence.

Believe in fate without your own intelligence and that is wisdom.


The last thing comes to my mind was equivalent to LaoTze's term "Wu Wei"


I don't know does this make any sense to you...:)
