It'll test what your religion is. Everyone at advancedyogapractices.com were reporting 50-80% Satanic, but I bet us mighty taobums can raise the bar! I doubt anyone can touch my score though!!!

I'm thinking I should grow my goatee back... I had a Tawainese Buddhist teacher tell me to loose the goatee, and I never grew it back since. Then again, she's all the way in Tawain... She also told me that I really wasn't a Buddhist... Well, I guess I've found my niche! Maybe my minion Sean can send me his library of darkness and I can get down to business!

Not to brag, but this totally made my day:

Your beliefs most closely resemble those of Satanism! Before you scream, do a bit of research on it. To be a Satanist, you don't actually have to believe in Satan. Satanism generally focuses upon the spiritual advancement of the self, rather than upon submission to a deity or a set of moral codes. Do some research if you immediately think of the satanic cult stereotype. Your beliefs may also resemble those of earth-based religions such as paganism.

This is how I scored:

Hinduism ... 83%

Satanism ... 79%

Buddhism ... 71%

Islam ............ 54%

Christianity ... 46%

Judaism ........ 42%

agnosticism ... 42%

Paganism ...... 33%

atheism .......... 4%

It looks like I could easily be a Hindu, Satanist, or a Buddhist. I consider myself more of a combination of a Buddhist and a Taoist.

The only rule I really keep as a "Dogma" is to "treat others as you want to be treated". I rely on myself to become a better person; rather than looking for a God to save me.

You scored as agnosticism.

You are an agnostic. Though it is generally taken that agnostics neither believe nor disbelieve in God, it is possible to be a theist or atheist in addition to an agnostic. Agnostics don't believe it is possible to prove the existence of God (nor lack thereof). Agnosticism is a philosophy that God's existence cannot be proven. Some say it is possible to be agnostic and follow a religion; however, one cannot be a devout believer if he or she does not truly believe.

Well - I'm not sure I'm agnostic - I dont think there is anyway of really proving it :P

I came out 100% pain in the butt. I thought I would have a little fun by answering some of the questions (until it wasn't fun anymore).

Everyone is responsible for his or her own good and bad deeds.

Logical fallacy alert. It's a complex question that presumes that deeds are either good or bad. It forces you to accept that in order to answer the question. Sort of like, "Are you short and fat, yes or no?"

There is no such thing as a "just" war.

You'll have to tell me what you think justice is. Buy me dinner sometime.

Abortion is an abominable sin.

Sin is an archery term meaning "missing the mark." I don't suppose that's what you mean.

It is better to forgive your enemy than to seek revenge.

As if there are only those choices?

I can't fully believe in any one religion.

I can believe if I want to. So are you asking me if I can, or if I want to?

Sex is the woman's right, not the man's.

This is hurting my brain.

Men were created for God; women for men.

Pull up a couch and tell me what that question means to you.

Modest dress is part of self-respect and should be practiced by everyone.

Should?

I believe in a set of specific rules on how to live my life.

What if I have rules but I know them instead of believe in them?

Women and men are equal in the eyes of God.

What does equal mean? That we're exactly alike? I didn't think so.

Life is a struggle in which we must overcome suffering.

Is that like trying to try?

I am the only one who should set rules or restrictions for myself.

There's that should thing again.

I'm not sure now, so I guess we'll all figure it out once we die.

Oh, so it's either now or after death, those are the only possible times.

I try to be in tune with the natural world as much as I can.

Does that mean I should become green like a leaf? What does "in tune" really mean?

All adults should pray daily.

Three strikes you're out, on the "should" thing.

Everyone should love each other.

<yawn>

I cannot be convinced to believe or disbelieve in God until I see some real physical proof.

Logical fallacy alert. False presumption that something real must be physical.

There should be no images, statues, etc. of God or his messengers.

There should be no questions about shoulds.

The strongest spiritual connection I feel is in nature.

You mean the outer forms of trees and rocks, or the etheric forces of nature beyond outer appearance? ok, no.

Because I haven't made up my mind, I never rule out the possibility of God's existence.

eek.

Religion is naive and misinformed.

how exactly can an abstraction be naive or misinformed?

Conversion should be a difficult process to make sure that one is really sure about it.

conversion? what am i becoming that i wasn't before, and how does that work?

I find peace and self-control through meditation.

eek, i'm not sure i want the self-control you're thinking of.

It is hard to decide what the truth is.

What if truth doesn't need you to decide at all?

The world would be so much better if there were no religion.

the world can't possibly be any better or worse than it is, religion or rap music notwithstanding.

The concept of God was created by people.

the concept of a tree was also created by people, although a tree is real. So now what? Dinnertime?

After reading the thread and the questions I have to agree with Karen - but I figured go the middle way and answer every question on the middle button- then I got a tie breaker that asked which I felt strongest about-

chose felt most spiritual connection to "Nature"- Hre's their take on that:

You scored as Paganism.

Your beliefs are most closely aligned with those of paganism, Wicca, or a similar earth-based religion. You may also follow a Native American religion.

the quiz is quite outdated for folks like us who aren't classically religious, but still a fun drill.

Looks like I'm the number 1 Satanist around these here parts! My brother scored 100% Satanist followed by atheism then agnosticism so maybe it runs in the family. I'm sure Daddy Yoda would score like my brother.

Really, though there are no questions about any devil, etc so I'm thinking that satanism=selfishness in this quiz. Which is also totally behind the times.

ok, so I did it too and as expected I came out pagan with a tie braker respect to agnosticism. Buddhism follows soon:

Paganism 83%

agnosticism 83%

Buddhism 79%

Satanism 75%

atheism 54%

Islam 50%

Hinduism 50%

Judaism 25%

Christianity 21%

But I think that most question are only valid when you are inside a believe based spirituality.

Why is taoism never even considered. What have we done to be so ignored. Even Satanism which is just a sub believe of Christianity is present.

Yeah, the test isn't really geared for us cool folks.

we should make our own test.

Does believe define your spirituality?

Is chastity important?

Is a healthy diet a prerequisite to a sound spiritual practice?

Is alchemy done or is it a natural phenomena that happens out of stilling the mind?

What's the natural age limit (75/80/90/120/immortal).

Would you kill for self defence?

Does karma exist?

Are good deeds important for a spiritual path?

Is doing good deeds to get merit possible?

Is there such thing as good and bad?

What's the aim of meditation?

What's the aim of spirituality?

Is acting out of your true nature and being good essentially the same thing?

If you act out of your true nature are you always good?

What's worse, rape or sexual fantasy?

Would you rather kill or suicide?

Is there only one salavation, or more different, or more as different levels of the same one?

And then depending on the result we address them toward various schools of taoism/buddhism.

:D

Its interesting and perhaps biased to see Islam put ahead of Judaism. There were 7 or 8 direct questions on Jesus, some double edge like, you think he's a prophet not a god right? Anwering No or yes is not in the right realm for me. Islam wise there were no questions on Muhammad per se.

I love Karen's responses. The link to the quiz seems broken, I'd probably score as an Agnostic though. I'd like to answer Pietro's questions.

Does believe define your spirituality? No, my sense of right and wrong, and my sense of curiosity do.

Is chastity important? Not in the Christian sense of the word, any kind of sex is fine if it is consensual and/or an act of love.

Is a healthy diet a prerequisite to a sound spiritual practice? No, but it's good to have a healthy diet.

Is alchemy done or is it a natural phenomena that happens out of stilling the mind? I'm not sure what you mean by alchemy, and not sure if I believe in it.

What's the natural age limit (75/80/90/120/immortal). Who knows?

Would you kill for self defense? Depends on the situation, but yes, I would.

Does karma exist? Maybe. I hope it does.

Are good deeds important for a spiritual path? Good deeds are the natural result of following a spiritual path.

Is doing good deeds to get merit possible? I suppose so.

Is there such thing as good and bad? yes.

What's the aim of meditation? To gain a more objective point of view to make better, wiser decisions.

What's the aim of spirituality? To ponder the mysteries of the universe?

Is acting out of your true nature and being good essentially the same thing? Yeah, they're close.

If you act out of your true nature are you always good? More often than not.

What's worse, rape or sexual fantasy? Rape is bad. What's wrong with sexual fantasies?

Would you rather kill or suicide? Depends, that would be a complicated situation with a lot of factors to consider.

Is there only one salvation, or more different levels of the same one? Who knows?

Wow! haha that wwebsite has no idea of what Satanism refers to. Has nothing to do with their understanding.

They do submit to demons, and a demon god...lol Their not admitting is wonderful proof which reveals their aggressive demonic behavior.. hahahah

I doubt Master Yoda....you are any of the sort of a demonic aggressive Jedi Master!

Peace and Love Master Jedi! :D
