Need help locating source for Black Currant (Ribes nigrum) seeds

Ribes nigrum

Normally my google-fu is strong, but I cannot find a place to buy black currant seeds, I want to start growing this fruit as I have heard a lot about it's specific health benefits but the seeds or fruit cannot be easily obtained. Mostly Cyanidin-3-glucoside which boosts night vision is of interest to me. It should grow just fine in my area/zone if I can find seeds.

I would really appreciate any help on this :) Thanks

Use the force, Luke.

Black currant seeds seem to be hard to find.

Apparently Lowes sometimes sells black currant seeds, so you could try contacting

them to see if they have any:

Some plant nurseries sell black currant plants/seedlings, so if you check with them they may

be able to tell you where you can get seeds:

Edit:

There is also someone selling a couple of black currant plants on ebay:

Not sure how you can ship a plant in the mail without the plant dying or getting damaged,

but maybe this person could provide some seeds as well if you inquire. :)
