Spirtual Neigong Systems

Recommended Posts

Edit: yes I am retarded I misspelled spiritual lol sorry

There was a thread over neigong lately, but most of the books and teachers recommended revolved around physical training and not meditation. I thought maybe it would be a good idea to start a discussion about schools which revolve around more spiritual neigong systems that deal primarily with mediation and physical exercises to work with chi.

Here are the ones I am aware of:

1. Mo pai (closed to westerners)

2. Longmen pai http://www.dao-de.org/ http://laoziacademy.us/ and http://www.longmenpai.com/forum/forum.php

3. Bak Fu Pai (sunn ye gong)(72 level neigong system) (sifu Gary) http://www.wbbm.se/

4. Dr. Jerry Allen Johnson (zheng yi pai) http://daoistmagic.com/ (his neigong manual hasn't been released yet)

My school is called ------------ which means:

It's a Daoist system of neigong and meditation which starts with practicing the microscosmic orbit and then moves to more complex and profound neigong exercises.

My school is called Kun Lun Xian Zong Pai which means:

In the Footsteps of the Kun Lun Immortals School

It's a Daoist system of neigong and meditation which starts with practicing the microscosmic orbit and then moves to more complex and profound neigong exercises.

Note: This has absolutely nothing to do with Max Christensen's Kun Lun 'system.'

wow cool, are there books or ways to learn your system?

No books other than my notebook, sorry.

You have to learn from a teacher.

You have to learn from a teacher.

could you tell us a little more about it, like how many levels it has or what it is like without giving away the practice itself?

are there any teachers in the us?

I can't really say much.

I've never seen any sort of overview or summary of the system.

My teacher is very traditional - he gives you something to work on and asks that you give him feedback periodically.

When he perceives you've made adequate progress, he'll give you the next step.

I've worked on five exercises, I guess one could think of them as levels, over the past six years.

Do you have any books or dvd's on it? Can you tell us more about it like does it revolve around mediation?

Book and DVD in my signature.

Active "allowing" Meditation (stimulates creative - not just Stillness but Stillness-Movement) and Movements. Also Medical Qigong for learning to heal others: Future's Medicine Today!

Hi all,

I am attaching a pdf book about Chi, Tenaga Dalam etc14897428-CHI-or-TENAGA-DALAM-or-Inner-Energy-r-JINN-Related.pdf - I ran into it accidentally. It sounds like a Islamic propaganda, but it does make one ask some questions regarding all these systems. I was wondering if people heard of this guy or what impression does the book produce in a taoist practitioner. It's only 49 pages and very easy to read.

I am curious of peoples impressions from this type of info.

Thank you,

Orb

Pure garbage. It basically says Islam is right and everything else is wrong. Oh, and Jinns are very real - be afraid!! Boo!!

Of course everything has its dangers. Just living normal life you can die in a car accident or develop cancer. Islam is more dangerous than qigong to your psyche.

Hey if the practices work disregard the other gibberish. If the other gibberish is so closely tied, that you can't untwine the too.

Im pretty sure people just won't practice it, unless they decide they like it.

Lomax also speaks to authentic lineages in his book before the qigong calisthenic explosion.

One being Chun yi lin's teacher.

I've heard starjumpers's lineage is authentic too - http://www.tienshan.net/

Mo pai is not really closed to westerners... from my understanding only shifu 'Y' doesnt want to teach them. It is closed to certain westerners who have been banned (David verdesi) but other then that it is possible it seems to learn up to the 4th level (in other words Level 3)... and by that time, mo pai would prob be reopened

Qigong is a combination of mind, body and spirit cultivation

There are three things to be cultivated in Qigong.

Isn't the spirit is part of the mind.....??? If it is, then what would be the replacement of that(spirit)....???

mind is intention -- left brain conceptual thought.

spirit is coherent light energy -- visualization as consciousness -- direct perception of senses beyond the mind-body.

Emptiness is the spacetime vortex.

http://springforestqigong.com is a full alchemical training -- it's just a matter of how serious one trains.

The book "Taoist Yoga: Alchemy and Immortality" is a full training manual but it is dangerous once immortal breathing is achieved.

Bodri and Master Nan, Huai-chin's book Measuring Meditation is a full training manual also.

Hey Drew, can you talk more about it being dangerous? Why?

Yes, it's been in some respects quite 'dangerous' enough already. Thanks Drew

Besides, I have no idea where I am in cultivation terms. I mentioned 'ordinary' elsewhere. Sounds about where it is.

I use full lotus to judge progress. 2 hours of nonstop full lotus with no pain and body filled with electromagnetic energy means the tan tien is pretty well filled up and nirvikalpa samadhi is approaching and shen energy is being created to start immortal breathing. I reached this stage once -- in 2000 -- I would be very surprised to reach it again.
