Hi,

Just to be sure, I checked the U.S. Naval Observatory website and indeed, it matches up with the first link in the first post in this thread.

The next new moon is Sat. Jan. 30 at 06:15 GMT.

Can't wait! :D

And you are certainly mistaken because new moon does not = full moon but more like empty moon and it definitely isn't now. :)

Or maybe next time I should just read the article.

The actual Full Moon will occur at 0618 Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) on January 30, 2010, or 1:18 a.m. Saturday morning, January 30, 2010.

Yeah that too.

I guess in part I did that because the previous version of the forum would've merged my posts on it's own.

I mean make some full moon water, or harness some of the Yin energy from the moon. You can even practice or meditate under it... I found an existing thread that has a little detail on it..

Personally I would use another method to condense the yin and collect it as dew but it's all good.

I have clouds here, too. But it peeped out long enough for a good sight and I wrote the following haiku:

behind parting clouds

the perigee moon appears

clearing out the mind

Mercury was also visible earlier.. And technically the moon is full on saturday.. Being that it peaks at 1:10am eastern time.

perhaps add a location as I doubt my eastern time is the same as yours

p.s. your moon is also upside down :P (I'm guessing you are in the USA)

Damn clouds! <_<

yeah, here in berlin too...

anyway thanks Biff for the good tip, I'll try next full moon :)

How did you spleep last night ? I did Moon meditation of Chunyi Li and was very nice (as always); then I went to bed and woke up spontaneously at 6:15 (here was fool moon at 7:15), meditated at full moon time and didn't get to sleep until 8: a lot of energy that I was not able to handle, a lot of crazy dreams, but still I'm slowly improving :)

Cheers

Personally, I'm always affected strongly for like a week before the full moon. When full moon comes, I tend to balance out.

i have felt like a different person for the last week. i think this full moon is really affecting me (in combination with a really potent acupuncture treatment a week ago too). my menstrual cycle has decided to change completely, and my emotions are all over the place. meditation has been difficult, but i have managed to do some full moon meditations the last few nights.
