Ramadan Mubarak

Recommended Posts

Detach from the world, increase your silent and solitary meditation time, purify your mind, strengthen your life force and rise your spirit; it is time for the big fasting: one month of not taking any food and drinking only water (adapted to Buddhists and Taoists).

Yes its is truly a special thing to observe and do. Its been going great so far.

Happy Ramadan & Festivities to all.

You can eat afterthe sun goes down and before it comes up again.

Its the best time to make prayers, zikr, & any kind of spiritual practice. Dedicate your efforts to the Divine Most High & Creator.

I don't usually eat more than fruit during the day anyhow. But I've given that away for Ramadan (I still drink water whenever)

also reading the Tao Te Ching and Hua Hu Ching.

It's not much of a change but I'm enjoying it.

It fascinates me that you guys are observing fasting in specific relation to Ramadan.

Please, explain your reasons. Not that you have to have any, but I'm curious.

No reasons for me,

It is a natural process of spiritual cultivation.

True enough. I'm just wondering, why Ramadan specifically?
