Need help!

Recommended Posts

Cant remember which system of breathing maybe pranayama or possibly some Taoist, Buddhist systems use it, its before you breath in and after you breath out that silence or stillness or whatever they call it. Does anyone have any idea of the practice and or any information on what im talking about?

Interested in knowing more....

Hi there Ape :)

What do you yourself call it when you notice the space between breaths?

.........I'm breathing in with you right now......... I'm breathing out with you right now.........

Thank you,

Carol

Is there actually a specific system?

I always thought it was naturally what you focus on when doing stillness/emptiness/void meditation.

Those little moments of silence make us realize the sounds.

Daochild,

Yes, its part of emptyness meditation but I thought there was an Indian method that only concertrates on the silence or emptiness between the breaths and If there was any information I could read.

Thanks everyone for answering, my practice also has this but then goes deeper again but im after any information on if It came from india or is it from a specific country then spread to other countries like Damo of shaolin teaching his muscle tendon change which spread different versions in chinese kung fu?!

Anyway im just researching this type of practice for certain reasons.... :D

Cheers

Ape

No research is needed, just follow your breath in meditation until it clicks.
