China blocking media yet again

China are at it again. I just got back from living there for 4 months, it's really nice to be able to access all the websites again on Tibetan Buddhism.. and use Youtube again. and then my friend sends me this. my god, that is ridiculous. officers with umbrellas blocking cameras in Tianamen square, blocking even more websites. when will this end?

 

being back in the States, I really miss the street food in China, having youtube back doesn't make up for it unfortunately. thats how they get you. they have amazing food and make you not care so much about other things, like freedom

I second that. Must be one of the top things I miss about China...I think eating is their national past time there.

 

As far as mass control, China is still using crude, unsophisticated, heavy-handed methods - old relics of dynastic rule and Marxist authoritarianism. The US is far more advanced here, relying upon Huxleyian information overload and corporate-sponsored meme warfare to dumb down the audience. What good is freedom when people are too comfortably numb to care about it? Exactly the same effect that yummy street food has on the Chinese...

Like Germany has a trauma about the Third Reich, the US have a communism-trauma, sometimes even people who should know better. First do research on what some words mean, then you will understand that China is and was never communist and that socialism is not evil, but that there has never been a real socialism, because it's always corrupted inside. And then you'll understand that once some fundamental problems have been solved, all the Isms will dissolve, too.

Calling the New World Order socialist is hilarious, because

1) the NWO tries to come to power through limitless cruelties

2) it implies that they really want to end all wars by supreme power and control and don't just use that as a smoke screen.

why are you getting into meaningless specifics? Marxism Communism or not, China is communist. every commie regime has used control to curb freedom, whether Marx believed in this or not is of no issue. China was never Marxist maybe, but they were/are indeed Communist/Socialist with capitalist characteristics

Tianamen square made me cry as a child. I remember seeing it on TV when I was 10 or so. I was very disturbed by it.

 

It was only later when I saw that the US treats protesters in the same violent way that I realized what it was about.

 

When I saw the flamethrowers on the tanks that burned down the Waco compound on video I understood that our (US) government has no problem murdering innocent people to maintain its image either.
