What's the yummiest food at the Chinese Grocery store?

Recommended Posts

Yoda's vote: the dried mushrooms, the brown sugar blocks, the dried wasabi peas, the pork dumplings, the dumpling sauce, jasmine tea, and candied ginger.

I'd love to hear other suggestions!!!

Aside from stuff that obviously looks good, here's a few I like:

Dan ta (egg custard tarts):

Canned roasted eel:

Seitan "jerky" (avoid if you don't tolerate gluten)

Fried chili seasoning (but tastes great alone out of the jar, lol)

wasabi powder from real wasabi, naturally fermented soysauce, green tea powder, red palm oil (one of the most rich source of vitamin A from any food item)

wishlist: canned lotus root slices, lotus seeds, red dates

not chinese in particular: hempseed milk (like soymilk, but different. nice) :)
