  1. Philip K. Dick Tarot Cards

I honestly don't do Tarot, but this came up in my news feed. It might be time to start. I've always been fascinated by Philip K. Dick and Blade Runner is my favorite movie. I wanted to share this, because if enough people sign up on the website they will do another issue as the original batch has sold out. 2. Tarot Card for Each Year

An email list I'm subscribed to has mentioned an interesting approach of assigning a Tarot card from the major arcana to the current year which represents the overall collective theme of the year. 2019 is represented by The Hanged Man (Card 12) : 2 + 0 + 1 + 9 = 12. Think of the stanadard divinitatory assocations but extrapolate it to the collective. Not an easy card, and see how it accords with this 2019 forecast: https://austincoppock.com/2019-yearly-the-road-we-travel/
  3. The Unified Esoteric Tarot Deck

My name is Attila Blága, I am from Transylvania, and I am a Tarotrolog, Tarot reader and artist. The Unified Esoteric Tarot deck is a standard but revolutionary 78 cards Tarot deck, resulted from 25 years of research, study and practice. I provide a modern instrument of prediction, self-exploration and self-development based on both the ancient teachings and modern psychology. Moreover, also an instrument of self-observation and self-remembering, based on to the teachings of I.G. Gurdjieff. The main idea at the foundation of this deck was to reveal the hidden connection between all the branches of the esoteric sciences and provide a very intuitive instrument both for beginner and advanced Tarot practitioners. The design and layout of the Unified Esoteric Tarot deck, it is simple, catchy, easy to memorise and different from any other deck available on the market at the moment. The system resulted from the interconnected study of Tarot, Astrology, Numerology, The Fourth Way, Kabbalah and Alchemy, and it’s based on the triune nature of everything in the universe. And, if you wanted to learn and understand how these things are connected, but find all them complicated, with my method and system you have the chance to learn them all together, within the Tarot system as one, integrated body of work. In other words, my system and method enable you to learn Tarot, Astrology and Numerology simultaneously and introduce you the basic notions of Kabbalah and Alchemy. Instead of buying 3 or 5 books, you got everything well organised and systematised in only one book. I created 6 easily distinguishable layouts for 6 groups of cards I have identified as different. These graphical representations reveal the connection between the Tarot and other branches of the esoteric sciences such as Astrology, Numerology, The Fourth Way, Kabbalah and Alchemy. Featuring on the cards all these names and symbols provides extra power and considerably boots the operational function of this deck. You thought that Astrology, Numerology, Kabbalah and Alchemy are all very complicated and hard to understand? My deck and my system offer you a logical and straightforward manner to learn, understand and use them in an integrated way and all you have to know is printed on the cards. Moreover, I provide a simple formula based on the relationship between energy and matter which explains not only the structure and architecture of the Tarot deck, but it is the key to the entire esoteric system. The cards are also double colour coded, and for the very first time in the history of the Tarot, each card bears two titles, one for the straight and one for the reversed meaning of the card which facilitates the reading and interpretation of the cards substantially. Still, each card features the traditional name of the card for those who are familiar with those names, meanings and interpretations. Although this system is based on a well-defined philosophical and practical structure, it enables a very flexible and intuitive reading even at first glance. Instead of encouraging the mechanical learning process of memorising the meaning of planets, aspects, numbers, Tarot cards, I provide a simple system and method which enable you to understand the very foundation of all the esoteric teachings and use all that knowledge in your benefit. The Tarot did not change since the first known Tarot deck surfaced 500 years ago in Northern Italy. However, our perception and understanding of this mysterious deck of cards have constantly changed and continue to change. In the beginning, the cards were unnamed and unnumbered. Somebody gave names and attributed numbers to the cards; we still don’t know who, why and for what reason, respectively based on what considerations. Then we have spoken about Knights and Queens, Popes and Empresses. Nowadays we speak about consciousness, subconsciousness and collective consciousness. We did not know and understood back in those days more about the Devil than we do know about consciousness. The interpretation of the cards was adjusted to the monotheist and patriarchal model of our society ever since the Tarot surfaced for the first time. However, studying the structure of the Tarot deck, I have got to the conclusion that the Tarot has more older roots then we ever suspected. Tarot is Astrology and Numerology based. Modern Astrology is still relying entirely on the work of Claudius Ptolemy from the 1st century and the perception of the universe of those times. They believed that the Earth is in the centre of the universe and the seven “wanderers” are revolving around it. Today we know that the Sun is in the centre of our solar system and there are more than sen planets in our solar system. They also believed that men and women are not equal, but men are superior, active and positive, while women are inferior, passive and negative. It is all based on the myth of Adam and Eve, and have its roots in the Babylonian mythology and the battle of Marduk with Tiamat. However, while monotheist religions are built upon the notion of dualism and the constant struggle of good and evil; esoterism, and Tarot included, is based on the principle of Trinity and the trin nature of everything in the universe. Everything is a matter of perception, and I think the time has come to readjust our perception of reality. Now, it is entirely up to you if you're choosing to stick with the past or you're going to step into the future. The U.E.T. deck is the Tarot deck of the Age of Aquarius, the Age of Reason and the times of major changes and transformations for the humankind.
  4. So.... I've been dealing with some "tuff stuff" for a while. In a nutshell, my reaction to the situation is "Well, I was so pissed off, I created a fire dragon and I burned him ( the guy I am pissed off at)". Sifu kind of "benched me". He said, you have everything you need to figure this out and get rid of this hatred. I won't teach you anything other, until you get this out. It is poison that is killing you. So... this is the card I get. In two weeks I will be able to get rid of this sh%t which had been haunting me for a while? How? What else can you tell me from the card? You can see, it is a one card reading with a simple question : when will I be able to control emotions (burning universes down in full blown rage does not count as "control")... gracias, Tarot Bums...

  6. I have been having not so great luck lately ( starting this year). When I was traveling, my bag spent a week in Beijing ( but returned later to me). When I got home, I got rear ended at the stop sign ( yet only concussion and no damage to the car). When I finally decided to use debit card ( instead of points accumulating credit card), my account got stolen right away and they took money somewhere far away ( my credit union refunded me money). Yesterday I got a layoff notice... Yet when I finally got tarot cards today ( I have not done it with physical cards for a very long time), the energy is good... Universe is trying to push me somewhere... but I have zero clue where... Tarot's usually tell concise truth. Am I being tricked by the cards this time?....
  7. Lenormand Reading

Hello Everyone, I am wondering if anyone would be interested in free Lenormand readings. Its closely related to Tarot, which is why I added it to this sub forum. I need practice, as I am a beginner. The initial readings will be simple card combinations (3-5 card spreads). Lenormand works with questions, instead of just general fortune telling. So if you would like a reading please ask a specific question and I will preform the reading based off that. Reminder: This is just a post to see if there is interest. If there is I will move on from there. I just want to get a rough idea of this. Thanks everyone.
  8. Tarot and the 36 Decans

Hi Tarot Bums, It is a feature of many Tarot decks that the 36 numbered Minor Arcana reflect the images and meanings traditionally attributed to the 36 decans of Astrology, even though this is not always obvious. The most prominent system for making the link is no doubt the one devised by the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. It was integrated by both Aleister Crowley and (more disguisedly) Arthur Edward Waite in the design of their respective decks. But it is nowhere as prevalent as in the beautiful Liber T - Tarot of the Stars Eternal. That deck's Major Arcana and Court Cards are somewhat simplified versions of Crowley's Thoth cards, but what sets the Liber T apart is its reception of the decans' images as found in the Sublime Books, Liber Hermetis, Indian astrological tradition, Latin Picatrix, Agrippa's Three Books of Occult Philosophy, Giordano Bruno's De Umbris Idearum, as well as in the "Hall of the Months" in the beautiful Palazzo Schifanoia in Ferrara, Italy. It is noteworthy that there are many parallels between the images in all these systems, spread out through different times and cultures - notwithstanding the transmission that without a doubt occurred. But let's look at an example. The Two of Wands is attributed according to the Golden Dawn with the first decan of the Zodiac (the first ten degrees of Aries). What do the classical sources have to say on this decan? (We find them conveniently compiled in Austin Coppock great book 36 Faces - The History, Astrology and Magic of the Decans.) Liber Hermetis: "It is an armed sign, standing upright, walking, having the likeness of a man, standing on feet like claws and holding above his head a double-sided battle-axe with both hands." Birhat Jakata: "A man with white cloth around his waist, dark complexion, pretending to protect, fearful red eyes and a lifted axe." Latin Picatrix (the direct inspiration for the Golden Dawn's decan interpretations): "The image of a black man with a large and restless body, having red eyes and with an axe in his hand, girded in white cloth, and there is great value in this image. This is a face of strength, high rank and wealth without shame." Three Books of Occult Philosophy: "A black man, standing and dressed in white and girded, a large body, red eyes, and great strength, as if angry ... This image signifies and is made for boldness, strength, loftiness, and immodesty." Further, we want to consider what some of the pioneering Tarot books in more modern times tell us about the Two of Wands: Book T (this is the GD's outline for Tarot and foundation for the Liber T deck): "The Lord of Dominion ... Strength, domination, harmony of rule and of justice. Boldness, courage, fierceness, shamelessness, revenge, resolution, generous, proud, sensitive, ambitious, refined, restless, turbulent, sagacious withal, yet unforgiving and obstinate." The Book of Thoth (Aleister Crowley's treatise on his deck which the Liber T reproduces): "The background of this card shows the power of the planet Mars in his own sign Aries, the first of the Signs. It there represents Energy initiating a Current of Force. The pictorial representation is two Dorjes crossed. The Dorje is the Tibetan symbol of the thunderbolt, the emblem of celestial Power, but more in its destructive than its creative form. More, that is, in its earlier rather than its later form. For destruction may be regarded as the first step in the creative process. The virgin ovum must be broken in order to fertilize it. Fear and repulsion are therefore the primary reaction to the assault. Then, with understanding of the complete plan, willing surrender rejoices to co-operate.Six flames issue from the centre. This indicates the influence of the Sun, who is exalted in Aries. This is the creative Will." Crowley's design for the card mirrors its decan's meaning. Of course, this short introductory survey would be incomplete if we would neglect A. E. Waite's version of the card: Wikipedia tells us how this card is generally understood by contemporary Tarot readers: ""The image on the Rider-Waite deck shows us a wealthy merchant or noble, looking out at his territory, or perhaps for his ships that have set sail. He holds the world in his hands, symbolizing power." This reiterates at least some of the decan's attributions. Whereas Waite's own words - strongly based on popular interpretations and ever so cautious to avoid any violation of the author's oath of secrecy to the GD - are not very reminiscent of the card's decan: "Divinatory Meanings: Between the alternative readings there is no marriage possible; on the one hand, riches, fortune, magnificence; on the other, physical suffering, disease, chagrin, sadness, mortification. The design gives one suggestion; here is a lord overlooking his dominion and alternately contemplating a globe; it looks like the malady, the mortification, the sadness of Alexander amidst the grandeur of this world's wealth." By the way: This thread spins off a current discussion on the thread "Tarot Set for Advanced" and was suggested to me long ago by Nungali - thanks.
  9. Just curious. On the board I see tarot, astrology and Iching being used to answer questions here. I rarely use divination, tending to see its value more as a Rorschach test then future sight. As such I prefer the symbolic nature of most systems which give me food for thought. What system do you use? How do you recommend its use? Lastly how has it helped you?
  10. Tarot Learning Tools/Techniques

Recently been feeling like I am bumping up against some pretty sturdy walls when it comes to my ability to read the cards and continually deepen my understanding of the cards. It's not first time this has happened, we all have our peaks and valleys in growth, but it's caused me to start looking elsewhere for deeper insights into reading the cards. I am curious if anyone would share the ways they learned to read the Tarot and which ones were most powerful for them? I think it is likely that the only to continue progressing is more practice, but some friendly tips couldn't hurt. My 2 cents, Peace
  11. Portable Magic

I recently finished Portable Magic: Tarot is the Only Tool you Need by Donald Tyson. It was a very interesting book and the goal of it was basically to compress an entire system of ritual magic into Tarot cards so that you can perform simplified rituals on the fly without all the excess baggage. I feel i can say to a large extent i feel he has succeeded in this goal (i have yet to test any of his methods). It was very interesting to see how he managed to construct the circle and triangle with the cards and utilize an astral space for his working, i actually thought it was quite and ingenious ingenuity. I have no doubt that the system he works with is effective. Also what i also found very interesting is that although he works purely with Tarot for the sake of the book. If you open it up to utilizing tools in combination with the tarot, simple things like candles, bowls...etc....it would seem to greatly enhance ones flexibility in doing work. The only bad thing i would say was the amount of repetition in the book, it got a bit annoying sometimes. Also for someone who knows very little about ritualistic magic and the Golden Dawn i found the introductory chapters very interesting. Others whom are more well informed than i might find them extremely boring. Also i would also say that in general i am not a fan of ritualistic magic and the Golden Dawn. Therefore in regards to using their system of correspondences as well as using triangles and circles i was a bit skeptical. I think a lot of using circles and triangles is fear-based. Thought that is just my extremely novice opinion given i have never used any ritualistic methodology. Overall, this was a good book on using the Tarot for Ritualistic Magic albeit at times it could get a bit complicated and it is my personal preference to keep things simple. I have already ordered Tarot Spells by Janina Renee in order to give me a taste of the opposite side of spectrum of using Tarot cards for magical workings in order to balance out my perspective. I may also read Tarot Spell Caster by Terry Donaldson if it ever comes out on Kindle. http://www.amazon.com/Portable-Magic-Tarot-Only-Tool/dp/0738709808/ref=pd_sim_b_3 My 2 cents, Peace
  12. Soul Mirrors and The Tarot

I have done Bardon's Black and White mirror exercise twice....and I have always found it to be quite Insightful and thought provoking, however recently I came to up with the idea to do my soul mirrors via utilizing the Tarot. I drew 3 cards which reflected my most important negative attributes and 3 cards which reflected my most positive attributes, I imagine if one wanted to do a full reading of his personality he might draw 10 cards for each side. I have only done it once and have found it to be a very useful technique for self reflection and analysis (after all that's what the Tarot is for) and thought I would share it with the forum. Not sure if anyone else has used this approach before, just something that intuitively came to me. I personally like using the cards more than the methods that Bardon suggests of sheer self analysis because a single Tarot card (symbols in general) can speak volumes about you as a person and help harness both our conscious and subconscious powers and bring forth gems for our enrichment. If anyone tries it feel free to post your thoughts, I would be very interested to hear your experiences. Anyways, hope this technique is useful for others. My 2 cents, Peace
  13. The Path of Earth

Was studying Tarot recently and found this excerpt from Pamela Eakins Tarot of the Spirit and wanted to share. Enjoy "The Earth itself, like the Wind, is the offspring of the elemental universal forces of Fire and Water. The Earth is seen as the daughter of the elemental forces. The Earth is inert form, female and receptive, providing a body for the forces of intellect, emotion, spirit, will and life-force. Earth is the limitless substance of which all things physical are composed. Earth Indicates all physical form. Physical forms are vessels containing life-force. In other words, Earth is the form in which life, the force, is embodied. Mystics say: force is ensouled in form. To ensoul means to endow with a soul. The soul--while it cannot be discerned materially or physically--thinks, wills, and has spiritual and emotional force. The soul is the vital or essential component of life. The ultimate etymology of the word "soul" is uncertain. However, one of the form of the word is "sol". It is interesting to examine the connections between these two concepts (soul and sol) in that, in Latin, the root indicates Sun, Earth and alone. In many languages, Sun indicates "sound," to emit. Earth means "ear," to "hear," "to receive." Symbolically, the spirit--the Light of the Sun--ensouls itself in Earth (the planet and the body) where it manifests through breath and sound. Another form of sun is son, denoting offspring. (Son also is the root form of "sound.") We, as children of the universe, are the sons and daughters of "Sun" and "Earth". As sons, we emit. As daughters, we receive. The meaning of daughter (Dochter, doch) is receptacle or to receive (Greek). Daughter also means milk (dhugh/Sanskrit). We intertwine and reproduce. We nourish the young. Life-force passes from us into our offspring. We pass the wand from generation to generation. This is akin to passing the spirit or the force. Thus, as the sons and daughters of Sun and Earth, we are force ensouled in form. We are form containing force. We are the vessels for new forms which are, in turn, ensouled by force. And while we are the sons and daughters, brothers and sisters of Earth, and therefore inextricably connected, each one of us ultimately journeys the path through incarnation alone. This is the solitary path of the soul. But, the physical world must be experienced, as we shall see, before the homeward journey is begun. Earth is our gift. We find ourselves honored with the exquisitely sensual experiences of living on the planet. It comes as a gift that we experience Her joys and wonders. It is also a gift to experience Her quaking, Her tossing and turning. The cracks that open in Her surface crack open our psyches. She shakes us into seeing. Such physical breakage can become the greatest pathway to the inner self. On the path through Earth, we learn that it is mostly the structures we, ourselves, erect that fall down and hurt us when Earth quakes. We learn to build our foundation upon the most solid and enduring ground" Tarot of the Spirit by Pamela Eakins 1 of Earth: Form http://usgs.typepad.com/.a/6a013485938a51970c017d3cf44c52970c-popup My 2 cents, Peace
  14. Free Authentic Thoth Tarot Readings

Most people while at fairs, set ups at the mall, or places like that, have encountered people offering things like palm reading, fortune telling, and tarot card readings. To a lot of people these things may not be interesting, or not worth the money. Most people dont really believe these things are going to help them much or are authentic. Here is the original Tarot. It is different than the version the public is familiar with, which is probably only a few hundred years old at the most, and was probably systemized in its current form, in Europe. Tarot is not meant exactly for fortune telling, but rather, for understanding ones spiritual path, and spiritual develoment. This is the most authentic version available today, and is the closest to the original version systemized by Thoth that exists. Free Thoth Tarot Readings- http://www.atlantis.to/free-tarot.htm
