  2. Heat Control

Hey there, I just found this forum with the help of GPT4. I'm only in need of an answer for a question I have for many years now. Maybe it's not the right space to ask, and even tho I wont probably return here, I wanna give it a chance. About me, I'm a 33 year old man. Since I was a child, in certain situation for example when a bee flies next to my ear or when I'm very nervous, I got a little shaking. I think that's normal. But I think I somewhat learned to control that now. What I mean is, if I imagine this shaking in the middle of my head, and it feels like some sort of muscle in my face is doing something internally, a heat wave, without shaking, starts off my head and wanders trough my whole body till the legs, I feel really warm then and start to sweat more. I never really told anyone about it nor I really thought about that myself too, but this moment Im so curious to find more about this behaviour and if it's good or bad or what my body is doing when I do that. I still get that randomly in some situations tho, especially when I'm nervous and I start to think about the next steps. Hope to find any answer and appreciate your reading time. Max.
  3. Hello. I wanted to get some opinions from the fine folks around here on this phenomenon and how it is viewed from different traditions. This is something I've experienced for several years now especially when I'm living a bit more in a harmonious way, mentally and physically it will certainly manifest more often. I'm aware it is a universal phenomena between both Eastern and Western traditions. I assume in the Daoist arts it's focused more on the Lower Dantian, while in some Western systems it's about filling up the Solar plexus with energy which also covers that same general area and function of being a storage space for massive amounts of energy. But I'd like some more professional or just interesting opinions on what this is and what it is actually doing. It is a bit esoteric I suppose, but a very real physical sensation.
  4. Leg blockages/clearing

What is everyones experience of leg channels opening? One member on here told me his experience of it involved a lot of pain in the legs. Did it feel like possible circulation/deep vein issues for anyone? Do you have to be at a certain level of development for the leg channels to start opening, or can someone like myself, a novice, go through this? Just trying to get a handle on some pain ive got, and start an interesting topic for the forum. Cheers
  5. During my meditative training, I have uncontrollably been heating up and getting those "cool" rushes of heat through my body. I've decided to start learning how to gain better control of my energy rather than letting it run wild and leaving cold when I want to be warm and hot when I want to be cool. I've found some info on tummo and how to heat up your body but I haven't found anything on how to reduce body temperature to cool down. Anyone know of anything that might help me with this?
  6. What I'm about to describe, might indicate positive effects of my training; however, I'm not sure: it might be quite the contrary. Where I live it's been very cold. Nevertheless, I still feel toasty warm, even when everyone else is terribly cold. Sometimes, the effect is very extreme: I'm overheating, almost breaking a sweat. But it's a different kind of heat, not like one experiences on a hot summer day. It's a type of heat that I started experiencing when I started practicing Yang systems, such as Nine Palaces. A few nights ago, I stayed up late to practice the saliva-swallowing exercise (as described in Taoist Yoga and by Yang, Jwing Ming). In between swallows, I would spend a few minutes Embryonic Breathing, pushing chi down central energy line to dan tian with each breath. The following day I was extremely warm, even though my house's furnace was turned off all day. This shouldn't happen because saliva-swallowing is a Yin practice. And it's happened other times I stayed up late to meditate. However, this heat is something that's always with me, and seems to increase the more I practice. So what should I make of this? If it's a negative effect, how do I correct it?
