  1. Michael Lomax

Seeing as Michael Lomax is on this forum makes this question sort of awkward, but I guess I'll ask it anyway. Has anyone here done any of Michael Lomax's chi gung or the other stuff he teaches? Or maybe taken a class by him? I'm not looking for myself, per se, as I'm quite happy with KAP *looks over shoulder at Santiago* but just trying to see if anything useful can come out of the discussion.
  2. is it only me or the TB has lost its magic?

    Hear Hear! _/\_
  3. "GIRI" article

Thanks for the article, Santi.... Wait! All of us now have to write two amazing articles for the one Santi has given us. This is gonna look like the Mak tin si days, very very soon.... Just kidding. I got the meaning of the article and thanks, seriously.
  4. Cats are funny

    HILARIOUS!
  5. Deer Pizzle

You might not be so abnormal. I'll share some of my experience. As weird as this sounds, I never masturbated till I was about eighteen and a half (I looked at porn for like ten days when I was twelve then stopped cause I thought it was weird). I had wet dreams about every month or so, but I could remain celibate for a long period of time with no problem. In fact, I wasn't very attracted to girls till I was sixteen. But, after I turned eighteen and a half, I hit a wall somehow, and now I'm just as horny as any other nineteen year old. Right now, I'd love to go back to the way I was a year ago, I would have a lot more peace of mind. IMO, there might be something wrong with your sexual health, or maybe you're a little bit different.
  6. Magic

Interesting talk by Dan Ingram on magic and stuff: http://personallifemedia.com/podcasts/236-...c-what-possible Pretty much repeats the idea that you have to use concentration and intent to make stuff happen.
  7. .

Scott always kicked ass before, kicks ass right now, and, if the trends holds up, should kick ass for a long time in the future. Just wondering, do you still practice Red Phoenix Scott? Or any of the other Kunlun derivative practices (golden flower, red sun, etc.)?
  8. Tao is Simple (explaination)

Daniel Ingram makes a great argument that someone who is enlightened will say they are enlightened. When asked who he was, the Budhha said he was "awake". And Daniel Ingram says he's an arahat...and he sounds believable...but wtf do I know?
  9. Proving "Group consciousness"

    Amazing! Thanks for posting Smile!
  10. Forum Addiction

We need to start a group: Tao Bums Anonymous (TBA) I'll start it off: Hi everyone, I'm Niel. (Hi Niel). I'm addicted to Tao Bums. I go there way too often and find myself doing it instead of studying or meditating (which is strange cause meditating is what gets you the Tao, not going on forums). In fact, I've found myself taking suggestions on how to masturbate from random strangers on the internet who I don't know. It's been that bad.... I could go on, but I think you get the picture. Or, maybe I could develop some discipline... Sorry Cam, I kinda ripped this off of you from one of your posts on the K forum, but my joke instincts were too strong.
  11. To all seekers of truth

I'm a "seeker of truth" Thanks for the good wishes
  12. Dark Night of the Soul

Try looking at Daniel Ingram's book: interactivebuddha.com He says that he was in a dark night of the soul for ten years, then managed to push through on a vipassana retreat to get a strong level of realization.
  13. Winnie the Fu

Glad to hear that you're enjoying the Fu-mor (whomp whomp...bad pun..i know). I also think I know where in China Mak Tin Si is from: FU-jin
  14. Winnie the Fu

THAT's what I was looking for. In my head, I was trying to remember his famous saying with "Fu" in it, but couldn't remember.
  15. Winnie the Fu

OMG! I just realized that Mr. T was actually a Taoist priest: "You gonna feel some pain, Fu" -Mr. T
  16. Winnie the Fu

LOL! No worries man. I'm always up for a good laugh.
  17. Michael Winn on his wife's passing

I can't believe I missed the irony. Someone else HAD to see how ironic this is. They release a demon in order to find immortality... and what happens?.... Most of them die?! It's kind of funny...in a not so humorous way...if you know what i mean...
  18. Merry Christmas!

Happy Holidays everyone! Sweet, a thread that's not filled with egos going crazy over each other...
  19. Best Topics of 2008

Sean, You forgot one: Best Topics of 2008: What's your vote? topic starter: sean Seriously, awesome job for putting all these threads in one place
  20. Hey, This is something I've been thinking about for a while, I'm surprised I haven't asked this before. This might have been asked in some way before, but I'll guess I'll throw it out there. People here commonly report having "paranormal" experiences, and quite a few people have cultivated for quite a few years. Quite a few people have a strong level of chi development (though the ethical development is noticeably lacking...jk ). With this strong level of chi, it's said that you can transmit chi to others, do healings, energize objects, and other things. I know there has been a lot of studies done on qigong, but why hasn't anybody taken the challenge on the Randi show? I'm not saying that anyone here can levitate, but people do have a strong level of cultivation and should be able to do SOMETHING to prove Randi wrong like send chi to each other or something. I know that Randi is known to snub certain people who have asked to go on his show who might have won, but I'll make the question more general. How many high level cultivators have actually tried to gone into science labs and such and tried to show that they can feel something that most people isn't real? Oh, and please don't tell me something like "practice and you too shall know the truth of this with experience". I'm doing KAP and I'm trying to experience for myself (on an offnote, I'm pretty sure that I'm feeling chi for the first time, so that's good), but I'm asking YOU. You being high level cultivators. I'm not trying to single someone out, just throwing this out there to see if I can get some interesting responses.
  21. It turns out you do need a master for iron palm.

LOL! Sorry about having to get the stitch, but that made my day!
  22. Question about spirituality and scientific testing

Thanks a lot for the compliment. Threads here usually go in random directions, but hopefully end up in the juicy stuff (like now). I was thinking about all of this (instead of studying for my organic chemistry final ) and thought: If you had the ability to set stuff on fire, or levitate, or whatever, and went on the Randi show, what type of people would you attract? People interested in doing those powers instead of real seekers. Most teachers nowadays aren't lacking students, so why attract insincere students? And, as for making more people believe that qigong, etc., is real, well, don't the real students always come through in the end? Baloneyx, that link was awesome, thanks. I noticed how there were people who were posting skeptical comments even after watching the video, not even being open to the fact that something more is possible. If someone pulled off the Randi challenge, would it be no different? Wouldn't people STILL be skeptical? Most people probably won't believe you unless you can use telekenesis to mystically fly a frying pan and smack them in the face...and even then they might want scientific testing... I think I understand where you're coming from Ya Mu...
  23. Question about spirituality and scientific testing

...just because I started this thread, does that mean I'm a superficial student? I hope not... But, your point is very well made Ya Mu. Time to go do something productive and do some KAP.
  24. School Project

As usual, this thread has gone way off topic...not necessarily a bad thing though.... Sorry, Mr. CanHead, but I don't think you're gonna be getting much more info for your school project, but it's another fun day at TTB
  25. Michael Lomax

Thanks tracy, that was EXACTLY what I was looking for when I started the topic. Now, to go to bed happy....
