    I'd skip the carbs entirely and go mostly meat and fat. China study is pretty bad science, if you read the methodology.

    I eat almost nothing but meat now, for the past 9 months or so. about 20 grams a day of carbs, a little bit of cheese or heavy cream, nuts at times. Lost 40 pounds, triglycerides dropped to half and feeling way more energetic and focused. Reading a lot of nutrition research and finding a lot more support for high fat than for high carbs. Bacon, meatballs, steak, salami, pepperoni, bowls of whipped cream. Not a hardship diet.

    Just found this board, while looking for info about a tao center in Oak Park, and it looks interesting. I have been trying to live with an awareness of tao for the past 20-30 years or so and am interested in starting to learn more about tai chi. Looking forward to reading the forum...
