  1. Hello,

is it okay to exercise FPCK when it is combined with bodybuilding ?

I have a pretty hard weight training in the gym, which involves a lot of muscle contraction.

Will this contraction block the flow of chi, since the muscles will be sore and pumped up ?

    All the best

  2. Thanks for your help Lloyd :)

I did my regular practice yesterday just fine, I think I may also be able to do it again today. Hopefully this tired spell has worn off now.

I've heard that any practice that clears out your energy bodies blockages can at first either cause mild cold-like symptoms or tiredness as the energy body is stimulated initially. I was hoping (and still am really) that the tiredness was because of that (I have a shocking amount of blockages). Is this kind of thing unheard of in Qigong?

    Hello,

I'd like to ask about this too. I am getting this symptoms too. I am sure that this caused it because when I started first about year ago, after the practice I had pain in the throat.

But now when I have conditions to exercise regulary, I also get the cold symptoms.

Is this normal or I am exercising wrong ?

I am only doing the first exercise from the Vol.1 because I lack physical endurance and my legs (quadriceps) and shoulders hurt because of it.

    All the best,

    QGLover

  3. Hello Sifu Terry,

I'd like to ask you is it OK to exercise in this way ..

Wake up early in the morning, use the bathroom, then exercise Qigong, after that a shower, and finally a breakfast ?

I've read that shower after a Qigong session will affect the Qi, is it true ?

    All the best

  4. Hello folks,

first of all, Happy Holidays to all of you, I wish you all the best.

I opened this thread to read your personal experiences with the lower back pain, which is very widely present.

I have pain in my lower back for about few months. It is manifested as pain in the low spine area, mostly while moving, and yes, it is very irritating.

Please tell me your advices so I can get away from this condition :( .

    All the best,

    QGLover

  5. Breathe more deeply more regularly, drink lots of lemon water, and CHILL OUT.

I had acne super bad as a kid, but it was only in times of deep stress.

I'm highly convinced it's all just a psychological manifestation - I've had friends who literally eat fast food every night and have spotless perfect complexions.

Mhm.. well I breathe deep all the time, and I drink a lot of water, but it seems it doesn't help.

About the stress, yes it might be the reason for acne to occur.

    Hi,

Maybe Google "How To Treat male Hormonal Acne". Some say Saw Palmetto is helpful. If you keep at this and keep trying different methods you will eventually get one to work. Good luck.

    Regards.

A lot of tips found while Googlin'. Thank you

  6. Read every word; glad to hear about your conscious dietary habits.

The sun exposure may DRAMATICALLY improve your acne. I had some severe severe acne - went to a music festival and was subject to the Tennessee sun for three days. On the second day, my acne healed up so much it was ridiculous.

Of course, too much may inflame the affected areas too much. But atleast an hour a day of direct sunlight will benefit your body in myriad ways.

Synthetic supplements derived from chemicals mixed around in test tubes is hardly what the body needs, but I stand by my belief that in certain circumstances, they are potent and effective. Some supplements/companies are higher quality than others. I recommend these two:

    http://www.iherb.com/Now-Foods-L-OptiZinc-30-mg-100-Capsules/738?at=0

    http://www.iherb.com/Life-Extension-OptiZinc-Superior-High-Potency-Zinc-30-mg-90-Veggie-Caps/7011?at=0

Your body is unbalanced. Zinc deficiency is a definite cause of the severity of your acne.

    and keep this in mind:

Eat more red meat and organ meats. I consider the two as superfoods for men.

Soaked almonds (minimum 8 hours in pure water)

    Raw cacao

and organic, free range eggs are also your best bets to increase your body's stores of zinc.

Hemp and chia seeds are also good supplementary sources of zinc.

Don't ejaculate as much either. Let your body's store of hormones and neurotransmitters build up so that the body can divert energy from metabolism of seminal fluid and sperm to healing and cellular regeneration.

Also, all healing occurs at the cell membrane - and that process is governed in part by fats consumed in one's diet.

So keep your consumption of healthy, pure fats high to facilitate healthy hormonal production and to maintain cellular integrity at the membrane and reduce your consumption of trans-fats and all fried foods (unless it has been fried in coconut oil or ghee/lard - all other vegetable oils worth cooking with turn rancid when heated)

    Thank you for your explanation.

  7. Hi,

For women I've seen acne dissapear when they take birth control pills over a few months that contain hormones like the brand Yazmin. Not sure what to suggest if you are a guy. Though this would mean it is a hormonal issue so just applying topical medications usually doesn't have an effect. I also notice the more you touch/irrate it the worse it gets. Hope this helps or points you in the right direction.

    Hello,

I am male, so I cant try the birth control pills. I was also told that it is a hormonal issue, and couldn't do anything about that.

I will try the methods recommended in this thread, hopefully there will be results.

  8. Hello onlyindreams,

my diet is fixed and healthy for about few months. I eat a lot of fruits and vegetables during the day, also about the water. About the sun exposure.. well since the weather was cold for several months, I couldnt get a lot of sunlight, but from now on, it will be done.

Now about the zinc. Well, because I dont have a high thinking for the synthetical vitamins (all synth. things in general) is it possible to replace it with the zinc from the food (vegetables ...) ?

I always wash my face with cold water.

For the soap and cleansing tips, (--all your tips) I will definetely take that in mind.

Thank you very much, and hopefully I will see results in near future.

    All the best

  9. Hello,

first it started on my face, about five years ago, and then started to spread on my back. So now, my whole back and face, upper arms and chest are covered in small, big, red acne.

During that period, i have tried A LOT of medical creams and oils for acne, tons of stuff, soaps and other things, but nothing helped.

Do any of you have experienced this big problem, or know some effective way to get rid of this disaster, please reply.

    All the best, QGLover.

  10. If conventional tests show nothing is wrong (and maybe nothing is), then I would suggest finding a Qigong master in your area to discuss this with. They can give you more insight into the qi possibilities and what to do about it. Also practicing some kind of qi exercise could be a good start.

What do you mean by a red branch on your eye? On your eye ball? Like your eye is blood shot? Have you had this looked at?

Qigong master is a little bit away from me. About the practicing, I am planning to start the Flying Phoenix Celestial Healing exercices for a long time, but I didn't have conditions for practicing. As soon I have conditions, I will start (that should be really soon).

The red branch is on the eye ball, yes. I was thinking to ask about it, because this thread made me thinking about it.

  11. - please consider that your obvious spiritual interest (and no doubt, lots of spiritual reading over the years) -

Yes, I've read a lot of spiritual books and articles, it is true what u said...

I'll google now the kundalini thing, thanks for pointing me to a possible answer.

    All the best.

  12. What's your diet like?

Well, lately (last one year) I take a lot of care about the food I eat. As much I am trying to eat healthy, the environment doesn't let me to do it completly. But in general, my diet is good. Also, I drink spring water instead of the public chlorized water.

  13. Hello,

I follow this forum for some time, and it was helpful to me for a few cases.

I dont know how to formulate the question to be more clear.. but I'll try.

Actually, from the clinical tests nothing is wrong with me, but I can feel it is not true.

One thing is really annoying to me, the unwanted reflexes. It is not the reflexes that we'd have in some situations (pain reflex....), let's say, when I lay down or sit, i have a sudden reflex in my arm or leg. For example, i watch tv while laying on the bed, and in one hour i will have about 5-6 reflexes in my leg.

    - Does this indicate to something ?

And I have a small red "branch" on my right eye. Does this connects to something ?

I cant remember other symptoms at this moment, but if u'd like to ask me anything else so you will be able to connect it to something, please ask.

The thing about asking this is, about "Tao advice" that would help regulate my body condition. But let us put the diagnose first.

    All the best

  14. Hello again,

finally I had the opportunity to exercise, but I faced a problem.

While exercising the standing meditations, in the beginning it's all OK, but after some time my legs start to hurt(like tired) and shake, and my arms also start to hurt in the shoulder area. I tried the sitting meditations too, but there I had a hurt in the back. So, I am not able to follow the whole video :(. I try to be as relaxed as possible, but it seems I am doing something wrong.

Any of you experienced this, or know what the problem is ?

    All the best, QGLover.

  15. Hello again Sifu Terry,

I got another question for you, after I've read some books about healing.

Well, my question is about this: - With doing QiGong, or any other Qi exercises, our internal organs are exposed to heating (right?), which can damage them. I guess FP is making heat as well, how can I know if I am going to make some kind of overheating, or is there any way to cool the internal organs ?

This questions is bothering me. Thanks in advance.

    All the best, QGLover

  16. Hello Sifu Terry,

I am about to start practicing your video lessons (1 and 2), and I'd like to ask you something that is bothering me.

Well, as I am beginner, my questions are simple.

    - Do I have to follow some specific diet some period, before practicing Qigong, or while practicing ?

    - Is it better to exercise outdoor, or it has the same benefits as practicing indoor ?

    - Does it matter if I do Qigong right after sleep ?

    - What are the basic things I have to know about Qigong, and be aware to ?

This is all I can ask now, so.. if there are any other things like this, please tell me.

    All the best, QGLover
