  1. Politics and The Dao

Strange thing happened after I posted this. All the news of election fr@ub came about and I went on Tw!ttt3r to ask about this. Genuine questions. Suddenly my PC detects network intrusions. Files are deleted. No F'n joke. Being a rebellious Taoist I continued asking FULL FORCE. Suddenly, my p0rn collection is being displayed every morning on my monitor full screen. Honest to Tao truth. Conclusion: Truth is being suppressed by dark forces, my friends. Be wary. Be nimble. Be strong. Build your energy and don't take the vaccine.
  2. It's fascinating to me how the providence of Yin and Yang are so prevalent in today's politics. It seems TOO apparent. TOO obvious. Yet this polarization feels like it's edging towards a resolution that may not be so equitable for all parties involved. Maybe I'm watching too much TV. Maybe I should delete Twitter and turn-off the internet. You can say this, and you might be right. But there's more to this than what's churning on the surfaces of not only legacy media but even along the fringes. The lines between the Fringe and the Mainstream have become blurred in the age of COVID. Yet, as a Daoist, I feel compelled to step back and observe. I feel obligated to avoid taking sides and remain centered in that things must happen as they do and I should not interfere in the process. But am I wrong? Are there moments in time where the Sage must also pick a side? (i am not Sage but a follower of Sages and their derivatives). In the bowels of who I am I WANT to pick a side. In the shallow innards of my being I WANT to protest what I believe is wrong. But I also want a threesome and really good Belgian ale. These things, as important as they may seem to me, feel irrelevant at the same time. What say you, Daoists, in this precarious moment in history? The universe is old and this has probably happened billions of times before. What makes this any different? IMHO, nothing makes it different. There is nothing new under the sun.
  3. Oldie but Newbie

Hi thelerner. I remember you. It's nice to see that you've elevated to the much "desired" position of Concierge.
  4. Oldie but Newbie

Hi Everyone. Been a while. Not sure who is still around but I wanted to drop by and say hello as this forum and the people in it helped me in ways I cannot begin to describe. Thank you, Bums.
  5. Fascinating story. Thanks so much for sharing.
  6. Inequality

I did not know Taoism was supposed to provide happy solutions to the problems of the modern world. Are there extensive texts on this "careful thought"? Or was this "careful thought" simply you thinking it?

  10. Ejaculation frequency

LOL. And you have? You're about as clueless as they come on this site, bud, so maybe you should STFU and take a second before you insult a group of people, ya dis-respectful, power-hungry twerp. (yeah, i know, i'm being harsh. not very Taoist of me. I should be banned.)
  11. Ejaculation frequency

So basically, don't retain semen. Lux, I think there are two ways to go about semen retention. One is by following the methods provided by the various models taught by Taoist teachers/texts, and the other is the one Sloppy Zhang touched upon where you do what you feel comfortable with. Which is the best way? You know better than anyone else here. Trust yourself. But the retention of semen IS important for the Taoist who chooses to walk the path. Most practicing Taoists I know attempt to go 100 days between ejaculation. It's not easy and as another member has said before, you shouldn't feel guilty about it if you ejaculate more frequently than you'd like to.
  12. Not sure if this has been mentioned already but we might as well discuss it again because, to me, it is the true staple of Taoist meditation. Do the Taoist 100 Days Foundational period as described in the Secret of The Golden Flower as well as TTB member Darin Hamel in past posts. He described what he did in full detail and it worked for him as well as others. Do it right and you may receive the confirmatory sign.
  13. Disinformation campaign

What I have always loved about the Tao Bums is how, from its inception, this forum has always found its way to become a no non-sense, no bullshit type of forum where truth, be it debated and dissected to a fault -- prevails in its own special way. The knowledge I've gained and the experiences that've followed from the posts made by genuine Taoists and adepts walking the path - indivduals truly seeking straight-up experiences that go against the tides of theory, opinion and Blah-fucking-blah-blah - is what has made the Bums what it has become, at least for me. This being said, I applaud the members who've stepped up and called out the stench because it magnifies the source as it attempts to defend its offenses. And as someone who has posted a lot of stupid shit over the course of my stay on this discussion forum, I really understand when a person expresses themselves with a certain stride, a certain swagger. it's not unusual and something all of us may, have and will experience while we're walking the path, but what's been happening lately has the potential to mislead practitioners to which we, as a Taoist community, should feel some responsibility to hinder any further progression within these grounds.
  14. What's most important is finding the right activator for your needs. For me, Softsheen Golden activator fits the bill in every way. Even though I ain't got no afro, it gives my silky Asian hair just the right amount of shine to tingle my pineal gland and flutter the heart-mind like ol' grand daddy's chuckle after sippin' on a sweet glass of mama's Mississippi molassses.
  15. Christianity, Buddhsim, Religious Taoism

it's all the same, man. people can and will debate and argue and nitpick over the little things, but when they die it's all the same in terms of where they go and why they came to earth to begin with, generally speaking that is. Virtue is virtue and that is what all of us seek to develop whether we know it or not. I know that some Taoists and Buddhists don't believe in a Paternal "Father"/God nor the Maternal Holy Spirit, but all religions discuss some sort of creator and spirit of some kind so there has to be something to it. To me this is all about perceptual interpretation of what actually is. The idea of God or the Godhead can be so subjective based on each person's perspective and point of view that it's almost pointless in discussing them even with those who have experiential knowledge. And what is experiential knowledge? How is this even determined? who has advanced farther spiritually? who has developed relationships with the Tao? And just what is used to measure these things? One person's word? A group of people agreeing with each other? How many dvds they've sold? How many ass kissers are surrounding them? How much fluffy garbage they can churn out in a minute? The ability to move shit with your mind and electrocuit someone's balls? I don't know, pal. But what I do know is that weird ass shit happens and sometimes there is no apparent rhyme or reason... yet underneath it all is order, and that means something.

    This is nice.
  17. Yin Qi vs Yang Qi

from what i've learned, yang chi is hot and yin chi is cool. for myself, i cannot detect the differences in chi temperature but i'm certain that my senses are not yet keen enough to differentiate the two.
  18. Opening the Kundalini: How?

There is only one way to open Kundalini and it requires the use of a powerful thumb. Only those whose thumbs are worthy can open Kundalini!!! OM.
  19. What is Wu Wei...?

The great thing about the TTC is that it makes a lot of sense on the exterior, as much sense as it makes on the interior. But what is different from the exterior and the interior is the same in how strange and mysterious The Way is for both. Wu-Wei, from my limited understanding and inability to articulate, seems to involve the ability to use our golden light bodies to perform our will, i.e. distance healing and the sort. Some of you may have read Drew Hempel's old posts about seeing Chun Yi Lin's golden light bodies coming out from the top of his head and flying off to wherever to do whatever. I believe Michael Lomax has touched on this subject as well, but I can't recall exactly what his assessment was but I *think* it was along the same lines. Not sure though.
  20. Just make one. Or contract a poor, starving sculptor to create one. I doubt you're going to find anything genuine created by a Taoist artist with any kind of merit. I'm positive they exist but are in private collections and are not for sale.
