    Hi Welcomer,

Thank you ~ I just received this message from you...

Please elaborate. I don't know what spam and trolling mean. Please advise so that I can understand your message better.

I responded to this ~ your thread re its wit. Have I responded negatively to something positive?

Burning Man? I cannot recall this thread ~ but had I responded negatively there? Please advise so that I can delete it if deem fit.

I am not violating confidentiality as I believe in upholding transparency,

    - Anand

I apologize if I came on too strong and I know you don't do it maliciously but on the Burning Man thread you made 8 picture posts in a row, each more and more irrelevant.  Another person posted, then you made 2 more:

A few aren't bad, but when you do it multiple times, in a row, it feels like spam to those who created the thread.  It'd be different if it was an art thread or about photo's or if you shrunk the size of your pictures.

In truth you haven't been doing it as much these days.  I didn't want to see 7 or 8 large photos in a row on this thread so I PM'd you.

    -Michael

P.S I think I'll retire Welcomer and keep to thelerner from now on.  Having to switch accounts is a pain and could be construed as misleading.

Welcome, You are one hard core noodle :) .   Intense breathing patterns can get you that state.  You're combining it with standing.  I'm reminded of Morihei Ueshiba mystic and founder of Aikido describing the billowing purple clouds he'd see around himself in his visions.

I think universal healthcare and some expansion of the social safety net are bare minimum reforms for the US to become a livable place for many people. In other countries, in the face of labor and other leftist movements, the ruling class saw such concessions as acceptable to stave off deeper social unrest and buy time for capital. Because the US left is so weak, such concessions are unlikely to happen soon. A strong grassroots left is essential. And they need to be organized and, where necessary, armed for self-defense. Right-wing militias may look stupid and incompetent but they can be put to deadly use in the right circumstances.

In the matter of foreign policy, the phased withdrawal of US troops from their myriad placements abroad and deep cuts to "defense" spending are necessary, with well-planned provisions for the reintegration of demobilized soldiers to civilian life.

I like everything you said except for the 'where necessary, armed for self-defense.  I'd rather they call the police or journalists and have cameras out to record infractions.

The Right wing militias do look stupid and when they use force it usually backfires.  Plus you can't control the extremes in your own movement, the violent ones give the other side ammo to dismiss and tar the entire movement..

  22. Welcome to the Tao Bums.  A wonderful forum to learn, discuss and cultivate.  Below are 3 important sections: Our Rules, The Insult Policy and our 3 Foundations.  Before you join click on [Reveal hidden contents] give them a read.

Most of it boils down to being respectful.  No name calling or trolling.  Post as if your mom's looking over your shoulder.  Discussion and arguments are what the board is about.  Keep it civil, don't get personal.  Don't be a troll or one issue zealot.

We're here for good conversation and make some friends along the way, to be a community.  Jump right in, start threads asking questions, look for interesting threads and post your (relevant) thoughts.

For the first week you will be restricted to ten posts per day but after that you can post as much as you like. Also, until you’ve posted fifteen times in the forums, you’ll be a “Junior Bum” with somewhat restricted access and will be allowed only two private messages per day.

Glad you found us.  I look forward to your writings.

Welcome aboard.  I haven't heard of Project Avalon, but I like the sound of it.

Personally I found Glenn Morris's books to be strange and inspiring.  I took KAP and learned alot from it.  I think if you have a live teacher and take things slow and grounded then you don't have too worry too much about kundalini blow out experiences.  In the meantime preparation of doing proper breathing, longer meditations getting the body in proper shape is work enough.. imo.
